“This was my first experience with Rover.com for daycare for my dog, Rudy and it went great. He seemed to do well with Rebecca even with it being a new environment. Rebecca interacted with him very well at the greeting to get his comfort in going with her.”

About: My family personally has never owned any pets for more than 3 years but I have close relatives and friends who have. I have been asked to dog walk, sit, board, bathe and so many other things that I actually genuinely enjoy. Im not saying im a dog whisper but I have found it very easy to get a long with almost any animal I have came in contact with. I love the easy connection you can make with an animal just in the first few minutes of meeting them. While the pay is definitely a plus I enjoy taking care hanging out with all sorts of pets and hopefully I will have the chance to meet yours! I am currently and online college student so most days my schedule is very open. My weekends tend to get a little busy but not until the summer time so I am usually very free then as well. I spend most of my time at home so your pet would be with me during the duration of whatever service is being provided, can always clear my day for any furball! While I do have an unfenced yard anytime the animal needs to be taken out I am willing to do multiple walks. My house is fair in size so they have plenty of room to roam and access to water and food unless their diet is specific. I will admit this is my first time doing this through an online service and taking care of the animal within my home ( if needed) but am excited to learn and allow for any accommodations that may need to be met.
“I cannot say enough good things about this pet sitter. Chris truly went above and beyond—constant communication, thoughtful updates, extra attention to my Gracie, and genuine care. Gracie totally adored him, and I felt completely at ease while I was away from her. A wonderful experience from start to finish.”

“Our dogs Luna and Lehla had an amazing time. Both were very well cared for. We were sent pictures of them playing through out the day as well. Highly recommend booking her for your first babies!”

“Communication from the beginning has been fantastic! I was looking for a daycare weeks before I actually needed it because of a relocation and Rachelle and Christopher answered every question and addressed every concern. I have a challenging dog and she’s only ever been in one daycare in her life. She and her sister had an amazing time during their first visit. Driving from Greensboro is totally worth it!”

About: I am a very loving and caring animal person. I'm all about an animals needs and ensuring they're safe, taken care of, and most importantly, having a great time! I've had a variety of pets my entire life and I can deal with a wide range of animals. I'm a fun, outgoing person so trips to the park or a stroll down the neighborhood is no problem (if your doggy can keep up that is ?). A lazy day in the house is also a definite. However, I'm very flexible to fit you and your pets needs and any guidelines will be taken seriously. I can accommodate almost any situation and I would love the opportunity to treat your furry child like it's my own! I am currently working from home full time as a social worker. I have plenty of time and love to support any pet and their needs. As of September 8th, 2026 I will be returning to the office during the day and fully available on the weekends! I currently live a house with a large, unfenced yard. I have four adorable rabbits! Previously a dog mama to my fur baby of 14 years. I am eager to meet whatever needs arise for pets and their owners.

About: My lifetime dedication to animal behavior began at a young age, training everything from my childhood cats and birds to neighborhood dogs. By the time I was 12, I was already handling pet-sitting duties for family friends, which sparked an obsession with AKC dog shows and canine development. As a teenager, I successfully fostered three high-need rescue dogs, rehabilitating them and placing them into forever homes. When I finally received my first dog, Omega—a brilliant Standard Poodle who lived to be 14—I trained him from scratch in everything from advanced stays to agility pole jumping. To back this natural passion with formal education, I completed three years at Virginia Tech, majoring in Animal & Poultry Science (Companion Animal Track). Through my intensive collegiate lab work, I gained hands-on experience with multiple species and mastered advanced animal husbandry, livestock handling, anatomy, and medical administration protocols (including multiple injection methods). This rigorous science background transitions directly into my capability as a handler. My daily life revolves around the development of working lines and guardian breeds. I specialize in basic and advanced obedience, loose-leash positioning, and structured boundaries. I am actively developing my very first personal sport prospect, hand-feeding for precision obedience. I recently whelped and successfully raised a healthy, large working cross litter of 10 puppies, and I am now offering my training services through my rover profile. What to Expect During Their Stay: Whether your dog is a high-energy athlete needing structured mental outlets, a powerful guardian breed requiring a confident leader, or a companion needing precise medical administration, they will receive elite, customized care. Because I work from home full-time, your dog will be integrated into a clean, highly supervised routine that respects their existing household rules. I offer premium House Sitting, Drop-In Visits, and structured Day Care. Space is intentionally kept small to ensure safety, calm boundaries, and individualized attention. Leaving your companion is never easy—trust me, I practice the same care I expect for my own animals. With me, you can have total peace of mind that your dog is in the hands of a dedicated, professional handler. Contact me today to secure your route or schedule a meet-and-greet! I work from home full-time, allowing me to provide consistent, round-the-clock supervision for your companion. My remote work schedule operates on a split-shift structure: Mon, Tue, & alternating Fri/Sat: 11:00 AM – 2:00 AM & 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Wed & Thu: 11:00 AM – 2:00 AM & 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM Sundays: Completely off and dedicated 100% to canine care. Because I work directly from my home office, your dog will enjoy a highly supervised, safe environment with a dedicated handler present at all times. My shift gaps are dedicated entirely to outdoor potty breaks, enrichment, and hands-on interaction. My ultimate professional milestone is transitioning to full-time canine management under my OZN Olympian K9 brand, meaning your pet receives the highest level of focused, attentive care I operate on a spacious one-acre property featuring a massive yard bordered by clean stone landmarks. Safety is my absolute priority, which is why all yard time is strictly supervised by me personally. Dogs with verified, bulletproof off-leash recall are permitted to utilize the full property line. For companions still developing their foundations, I utilize a professional 30-foot training long-line, allowing them total freedom to run and explore safely without any risk of escape. Inside my home, I offer a highly versatile, stress-free environment tailored to your dog's specific social needs. I can accommodate social dogs who thrive around other animals, as well as dogs requiring complete separation. If your companion prefers individual space, my personal dogs can be securely rotated to my upper level, and my current puppy prospects are trained to settle quietly in their crates. This leaves my entire downstairs area or my private home office completely open for your dog to relax in. I have multiple heavy-duty, large crates on hand to assist dogs who need a secure, cozy boundary to settle in a new environment. When providing care inside your home for house-sitting or drop-in visits, I maintain that exact same elite standard of structure and safety. I treat your property with the utmost respect, keeping your home clean, secure, and exactly how you left it. While under my care on your property, your dog will follow a precise, customized routine—maintaining their existing house rules, feeding schedules, and crate habits—so they feel completely secure in their own familiar environment. Every dog under my roof receives a deeply enriching routine where I reinforce good canine manners daily, backed by regular text, photo, and video updates!

About: Hi! I’m Amanda, and dogs are a big part of everyday life in our home. I have several dogs of my own, so I’m very familiar with different personalities, energy levels, routines, and the importance of making sure each dog receives the individual attention they need. I keep my boarding numbers limited because I want every dog staying with me to feel comfortable and cared for—not like they’re just one of many. My partner works from home, so someone is usually here throughout the day, and dogs are rarely left alone for long periods. We also have a fully fenced yard where dogs can enjoy supervised potty breaks, playtime, sniffing, and time outside throughout the day. I also have a wooded area behind my house for hiking adventures! A typical stay may include walks, outdoor time, enrichment, play, rest breaks, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I’m happy to adjust the routine based on your dog’s normal schedule, personality, energy level, and comfort. Safety is always a priority in our home. I take introductions slowly, closely supervise interactions, and can keep boarding dogs separate from my personal dogs when needed. I understand that not every dog is immediately comfortable in a new place, so they’ll be given the time and space they need to settle in. I also have experience with dog training and enjoy providing dogs with structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement during their stay. Feel free to message me about your dog’s training needs and the individualized options that may be available! I know leaving your dog with someone new can be stressful. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your dog receives thoughtful, personalized care and is treated like one of our own.
About: I’ve worked in vet med for 4 years and can promptly handle any type of emergency. I am comfortable medicating dogs and cats of all ages, and I can perform CPR if necessary. I have also worked at doggy daycares taking care of 100+ animals at a time. I have been pet sitting since I was in high school, and I care for each animal as my own! I am trustworthy, reliable, and very communicative with pet parents. My schedule is completely open right now! I am available to pet sit weekdays or weekends. I can do same-day bookings, but I would prefer at least one day’s notice to stay overnight. I have a fully fenced in backyard. I have one senior husky, one middle-aged mutt, and one young cat in my own home. They are all healthy and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. They are well socialized and get along with other dogs really well. I am happy to take your pet on walks if that is what they need to get their energy out as well!

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
