About: Hi! My name is Laura and I’m an experienced dog mom of nearly two decades. I know how to keep dogs feeling safe, clean, fed, and cared for when their owners need some help. I can offer special care and also give medications if needed. Note: I can only accommodate small dog breeds. My dog named “Tallulah” is a 9Ib female (spayed) Maltese. She is very dog friendly, though, we can discuss whether you’d like your dog to spend time with Tallulah or be in a separate area of my home. I can accommodate any specific requests you may have! 💞 🐾 I currently work remotely from home so dog boarding is available Monday-Sunday! I am present for the entirety of your dogs stay. About: A little about me: I am a Rhode Island native, (literally!) and have a Bachelors degree in International Relations and Global Politics from the American University of Rome. About: I grew up with black lab mixes, having at least one dog in the house all the time. I helped to raise two of the family black lab puppies through 15 years and care for the next generation, a 2 year old black lab/border collie rescue pup, teaching her to sit and lay down. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs over the past few years, learning patience from puppies, strength from sweet old ladies, and the careful nuance that comes with leash aggressive rescues. I now have an adopted a rescue greyhound in the family. She loves new friends but is also perfectly happy cat napping wherever her bed lands. Happy to host or walk, with or without her company. I’m full time at home and so I am free to do breaks and provide limited entertainment between meetings, which are never more than 1.5h. This is the schedule I provide my own pup and would extend to others. I treat them as my own. I prefer to be over communicative with owners if any potential issues arise as well. Greyhounds react particularly poorly to negative feedback and punishment, so patience and focus on pawsitivity (particularly treats) is a standard with me.

I have a small and friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. I will keep your dog on a leash while outside and/or can close off the deck for a more secure area.
