About: I love to take care of pets! I am home working in our yard, garden, with our chickens, cooking, generally creating a millennial grandma cozy cottage. I always say there are a few things that make a house a home - animals, plants, and good kitchen smells. We have a dog and a couple cats running around, and, much like our kids enjoy having all the friends come to visit us so that our house is bustling with love! I have to say that I do not allow pets on furniture but worry not; all furry visitors have lots of soft spaces to snuggle, a large fenced-in yard to run about (maybe dig a hole to relax in the the sunshine?), love, attention, treats galore. I am not afraid of larger animals, and I can keep those separate that are either feeling feisty around new friends or shy until acclimation in our fenced patio within the yard. I keep a good eye on everyone, I'm patient with accidents, and its no sweat to accommodate special needs. Please let us enjoy hosting your family at ours, making our house a home. Other than taking my children to and from school, I am home. Additionally, my partner and children are six more eyes, hugging arms & throwing balls. I accommodate my clients' requests and always aim to over-deliver. I am happy to send photos and videos throughout our play date, and respond to questions in a very timely manner.

“Laurie is wonderful! She’s very attentive and caring with the dogs in her care - it’s obvious she’s a dog person. My dog knows when he’s going to Laurie’s house and gets so excited. When we get there, he jumps out of the car and right over to Laurie. I’m grateful for Rover and helping me find daycare so quickly with a person I can trust.”

About: Amelia Massey Chorlton Introduction: Hello, my name is Amelia Massey Chorlton. I have extensive experience with dogs, having cared for them practically my entire life. From raising our family dog Daisy, a Golden Retriever, until her passing due to old age, to currently running a doggy daycare from my home, dogs have always been a significant part of my life. Professional Experience: I recently left my position as a manager at a doggy daycare, where I worked for three years, to focus on working from home. During my time there, I gained valuable experience in understanding and managing various dog behaviors and deepened my love for all types of dogs. In addition to my daycare management experience, I have also managed an intellectual disability group home, a position I also left to work from home. Personal Experience: I currently own four dogs of various sizes and two cats. I live in an in-law housing situation owned by my mother, which allows me the flexibility to separate dogs as needed. If required, I can crate my dogs and cats, ensuring that your pet will never have to meet mine if that’s your preference. Facilities: • My home features a fully fenced backyard that is divided into sections, allowing me to separate my dogs from visiting dogs while keeping everything securely fenced. • The backyard provides plenty of shade, a kiddie pool, and access to the garage, which is equipped with water bowls, food bowls, beds, toys, and is climate-controlled with both AC and heating for the colder months. Services: • The option to separate dogs or provide solo sitting for dogs with reactivity or behavioral issues. • Experience with senior dogs, puppies, and behavioral dogs. • Years of experience training my own and other dogs. • CPR trained and capable of administering medication to dogs that need it. Please consider me for your next dog-sitting needs. I am passionate and dedicated, and I promise to put my all into caring for each and every dog that comes into my home. Thank you for your consideration! I work from home, allowing me to maintain a very flexible schedule. I am available for dog sitting, dog boarding, dog walking, cat sitting, cat boarding, and drop-in visits as needed. Additionally, I offer complimentary dog walking services when you book boarding at my home. In my home, I ensure pets are cared for in a safe and comfortable environment. When the weather is pleasant, the dogs can enjoy free access to the backyard, where they can roam freely and even jump in the kiddie pool if they wish. The garage is always open during the day, allowing them to move in and out as they please. On particularly hot or cold days, the backyard is only open for potty breaks. During these times, the dogs stay indoors, with the dog door remaining open for them to access their crates, beds, or toys. This setup ensures they can always find a comfortable spot to relax and play!

About: Growing up on a farm, I’ve been working with animals for as long as I can remember! From hamsters to horses - I’ve cared for nearly any animal you can think of. I attended Norfolk Aggie, majoring in Animal Science. Since then, I’ve worked as a vet tech, groomer, and trainer. I currently work as a barn assistant and show photographer (yes, I’m happy to snap some cute pics!) Training is a massive aspect of pet care. It’s important to have a sitter that understands your goals, reinforces correct behaviors, and constantly works to improve. Not only do I offer top notch care - I’m a huge communicator! I send lots of updates and adorable photos. When booking with me, you will never have to worry or wonder what your pets are up to (Check in as often as you want! I encourage it!) I also offer bathing & nail trims! Please feel free to ask any questions, my priority is always the comfort of you and your furry friends. Looking forward to hearing from you! Aside from other clients and caring for the ponies, the majority of my days consist of editing. This allows me to be extremely flexible of when and where I work. Feel free to let me know exactly what you’re looking for, and we can come up with a plan! Every pet is unique, and needs different things! I tailor my visits to each individual animal. My goal is to create a happy and loving environment for your pets while you’re away, and earn your trust so you can leave your worries behind!

“Melissa is the absolute best! My dog, Morris, fell ill just before I was leaving for a business trip. Last minute trip to the vet left us with just a simple antibiotic regiment. Melissa made me feeling completely comfortable leaving Morris in her hands for the weekend while she administered his pills. She sent me a few pictures throughout Saturday and he looked like he was having a blast with her girls and her puppy. When I returned, everyone was in one piece and happy. I will definitely be booking Melissa for my next out of town business trip.”

Amaya M.
“Amaya watched my pit a few months back when I took a 5 day road trip to Atlanta. We checked in with each other and even facetimed because I missed Zulu. I came back to an even happier dog then when I left and I got the alone time I needed.. I would recommend her and even had her watch a couple of my buddies dogs and cats here and there.”

Holly S.
“Holly is THE BEST!!! She’s taught beginner lessons for us and sat for us many times over the past 3 years, and she’s always gone above in beyond with her communication, cleanliness, and genuine love and care for our animals. We have a 6 horse farm with 2 dogs and a few rabbits. She is knowledgeable and the first person to notice if there’s an issue with any of them. She checks in with us frequently and responds quickly to messages. She’s always reliable and we never have to worry about our animals or home while away. We recommend her so much!”

Nicole R.
“Nicole loves animals. She helped me learn to give cats medicine at the cat shelter we both volunteered at, and showed great compassion and care towards these sick little ones. I honestly believe she will go above and beyond in caring for your dogs. Be it walking them, and/or caring for them in your home. Her compassion towards animals shows not only in her care, but also in how animals respond to her. She has a fantastic work ethic, never slacking, always putting the animals first. Her care and attention to detail saved two very sick kittens, who are now my daughter's wonderful companions.”

Page K.
“Page watched my cat Sabrina for me while I was on vacation. Sabrina doesn't do well with people but with Page that was a different story! She did well with letting me know how Sabrina was doing and sent me videos daily. For as long as I've known Page she has always had a special connection with animals.”
