“Krista did a fantastic job watching my kitty! She made sure all of his needs were met and made sure to give him the attention he needed. She is a wonderful pet sitter and I recommend her highly!”

“Carlie has been wonderful with our four girls on every single occasion. On this particular date, we had an unexpected emergency and she stepped in without hesitation. Thankfully the issue was resolved quickly, but her flexibility and willingness to make sure our girls were taken care of while we were out of town was a life saver. We treasure her and highly recommend her.”

“I had a fantastic experience with Nicole! I have two cats, one of whom is diabetic and requires insulin injections, so finding someone I could trust was very important. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and confident in caring for both of my cats. She communicated regularly, sent lots of adorable photos, and kept me updated on how they were doing. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!”

About: In addition to being a pet owner, I also worked at an animal shelter where I received specialized training on animal behavior. My friends and family have trusted me with their pets for 10+ years and I love working with dogs and cats. I’m currently working Monday-Friday until 3 or 4, but I have plenty of time in the evenings to go on walks, runs, and check in with your pets. I’m also free on weekends! I’m happy to stay close to home if that’s what your pet prefers, but I also have an SUV to take them to the beach, the dog park, or on a nice long walk. Unless we’re in a fenced in area, your pet will stay leashed while we run and play together!
“Lauren is honestly such an amazing person! She cared for our babies like they were her own. We got so many cute pictures of them while we were away. She went above and beyond to ensure our babies were taken care of! Thank you Lauren! We will definitely be reaching out again❣️”

“Gina was super sweet and patient with my pups. We had a dog going through some healing from a surgery and Gina took good care of him and made sure he took his meds. She communicated and asked questions when she needed to. I appreciated that. Highly recommend Gina.”

“Olyssia was amazing with both of my dogs! One is very protective and can be aggressive with new people, but he ended up loving her. My other dog is super friendly and loves everyone, and he was just as happy and well cared for. I got updates for each visit and knew they were in good hands. I would 100% recommend Olyssia and will definitely be booking again!”

About: I have been caring for dogs since I was 12 years old and am now 19, giving me several years of hands-on experience. I have provided trusted care for dogs of neighbors and close friends, always focusing on safety, comfort, and individual needs. I treat every dog as if they were my own and make sure owners feel at ease by giving regular updates, photos, and clear communication. My goal is to provide reliable, loving care so both pets and owners feel happy and stress-free. I am regularly available and have a very flexible schedule. As an online college student, I am able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care. I also have my own reliable transportation, allowing me to easily travel for drop-ins, walks, or sitting. My flexible availability helps ensure pets receive consistent care and attention throughout the day. I provide attentive, respectful care in your pet’s own home so they can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I follow your routines closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you are away, while also keeping your home clean and secure. Regular updates and photos are always provided so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for.
About: I have had many dogs since I was born and have owned many animals including hamsters and snakes. I have treated minor illnesses in dogs before and know multiple emergency vet offices nearby. I am comfortable giving medicines and keeping strict routines and diets. I excel in reading animal body language and understanding and avoiding triggers. I attend College classes Mondays and Wednesdays. I also have a part-time job that I work Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. I usually wake up around 7:30 and have a relaxing morning to myself. I spend my free time at home doing school work and hanging out with my dog and cat. I have a 3/4 acre lot with a six foot chain link fence. I have a Shar-pei American Bulldog mix and a Domestic Shorthair cat, both do well with other animals and can be contained if the need arises. Animals get fed twice a day, 1/2 a cup each morning and evening for the puppy and 1/4 cup each morning and evening for the kitty. The animals are let out freely as we have a screened in pool with a dog door. Toys are preferred but if your baby likes the dog park I know of many and am willing to go with them. Animals are not allowed on the furniture but can get plenty of snuggles on the floor!
About: I would honestly own a zoo if my significant other would allow it! I started by pet sitting my friends, parents, and neighbors animals as a young girl and I’m struggling to find a job here so I’m falling back to my roots! I have completely open availability for now! I am a huge walker so walking your dog or dogs sounds like a fun time! I have a Malinois mix so high energy, working dogs don’t scare me either. I have a decent sized fenced in back yard with plenty of toys. I do have a large crate for my dog currently when we leave for extended periods of time. If you also prefer to crate your dog, that can be done as well.
“The BEST sitter in Orlando! She did drop-ins for my husky while me and my family were visiting NY. My dog loved her and she even tended to his fear of thunder. She will go the extra mile to make sure your fur baby is well-cared for. Definitely will rebook when the time comes!”

“Jessica did an amazing job taking care of our dog, Sky. We needed someone to stop by and let our 100‑pound German Shepherd out while I was at the hospital for my husband’s surgery, and she was exactly who we needed. I was a little nervous since this was Sky’s first time with a sitter, but Jessica put her at ease right away. She’s clearly very comfortable with large dogs and even played ball with her in the yard. She also went above and beyond by letting us know about sparking she noticed from our trees near the power lines—something we really appreciated. We will definitely book her again. She is mature, intelligent, and incredibly reliable. Exactly what pet owners are looking for on Rover.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
