About: I grew up surrounded by many animals. When I was 10 I had 4 guinea pigs, 2 dogs, 1 cat and stray farm cats. I spent time working on a farm with my family who taught me how to love and care for animals. I also pet sat throughout high school and later worked at a doggy daycare, gaining hands on experience with dogs of all ages and personalities. I love taking dogs on hikes and fun adventures while their pet parents are away. I even have a dedicated dog room filled with their favorite things to help them feel comfortable, loved, and at home until their family returns. 🏡 I’m a stay at home wife who loves baking, walking, going on hikes, and if I’m not hiking I’m home 24/7, so your dog will always have plenty of attention and care. When a dog stays with me, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible. We will also go on plenty of walks and Saturdays are reserved for fun hikes and extra adventures!! I will also annoy you with pictures and videos to update you! 😂💖 I provide a calm, loving home where pets are treated like my family. I follow their regular routines, provide daily walks, plenty of attention, and a safe, comfortable space so they feel happy while their parents are away.

About: I’ve had dogs in my home since I was 12 years old. Growing up with pets taught me the responsibility it takes to care for each individual dogs needs and comfort. I have experience in dog sitting as well as dog fostering for the last 6 years. Currently pet sitting is something I do full time. I am a stay a home mom so I am home 24/7! I have a 18 month old daughter who loves animals and she is used to very large dogs. In the mornings I take my pups for a walk and come home to feed them breakfast. Throughout the day we play and take potty breaks every 2 hours or so. I have a fenced in backyard and an unfenced front yard. There is a dog park not far from my home, so we take walks there frequently. We end our night with dinner and one last play/potty break before bedtime. I live in a house in a gated community. I prefer meet and greets before booking. I have multiple water dishes throughout my home that are always full. I do not offer human food to dogs unless specifically told it’s okay by the owner, this is to avoid any issues with dogs that may have digestion problems. If your dog is crate trained and needs to be in a crate if nobody is home for a short period of time, please let me know before hand. All dogs MUST be child friendly as I do have a 18 month daughter myself, she is great with animals and is very used to larger breeds.

About: Dogs and other domestic pets of all ages, shapes, and sizes have been a part of my life since I was a young child growing up in rural Kansas, and I truly believe they are a family member. They can be therapeutic and loving towards you in ways you didn't know you needed. Please consider me to help not only care for your dog/pet but to also show them some love and gratitude while in my presence. I am currently a stay-at-home mom while my boys are in elementary and middle school. I will have the most time to care for your pets during the day while my kids are in school, as well as sometimes late afternoon and evening depending on after school activities. I have a fenced in yard but do live on Joint Base Lewis McChord, located on the North Fort side. The yard is well-maintained with natural grass and plenty of space to run around. I have one dog that gets along well with others and loves to have play dates. He is older so he likes to take naps and enjoy the sunshine!

About: I have had pets since I was born, and from age 5 I started to help withtheir care. I have always had a deep love for animals. I have had cats, dogs, guinea pigs, mice, rabbits, etc. I may not be a professional, however, I believe I am pretty knowledgeable about cats and dogs, their care, and some training. 3rd year in college, studying mathematics at WSU. I have had pets all my life back home and I lived them all sooo much. I am free most of days of the week in between my classes, good for drop ins and dog walks :) Lots of play, cuddle, excercise and attention. What ever the pet needs and wants, I try my best to fullfil. If they need to let out energy, let them play in the yard, if they need alone time, let them nap, etc. Lots of toys and enrichment activities, and lots of love.

We’ve been taking our puppy to Aliesha for a few weeks now and it’s been absolutely amazing. Our pup has very high anxiety and struggles in big daycares. Once we found Aliesha so much of our own stress has been relieved knowing Bruno is so happy at her place and his overall happiness has greatly increased. She provides enrichment activities, lots of yard playtime and even takes him to the nearby creek! I’m so grateful for her kindness to Bruno and for supporting him so well. HIGHLY recommend her for daycare!

About: Hi, I’m Caitlyn! What sets me apart is my genuine dedication to animals and their well-being. I treat every dog like family and strive to create a safe, loving, and enriching environment for your pup. I live with two young golden doodles (ages 3 and 4), so I’m very familiar with the energy and needs of playful, active dogs. I also have experience caring for senior pups and understand their gentler pace and unique needs. I always recommend a meet and greet to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable, and I can separate dogs if needed. My approach to behavior is rooted in positive reinforcement and redirection. When a firmer approach is warranted, I use calm, corrective methods—such as ending the unwanted behavior and giving the dog time to settle down with a clear, firm statement. I aim to create a consistent, respectful environment that helps dogs thrive. Additional services: Grooming add-ons: Pricing varies based on needs but would not exceed $40 (brushing, deshedding, light trims, bathing & drying with gentle products) Sometimes dogs need a refresh after lots of outdoor time in the PNW! Whether you have a bouncy pup or a mellow senior, your dog will receive personalized, compassionate care while you’re away. I look forward to meeting your furry friend! Pet care is woven into my daily routine. I work from home, which means I’m available throughout the day to give your dog plenty of attention, activity, and affection. Each day includes a mix of outdoor time—whether it’s a neighborhood walk, a beach stroll, or a trip to the dog park—depending on the weather and what the dogs need. On weekends, we occasionally head to our family’s cabin, and if your dog enjoys swimming, they’ll have a blast there! When caring for pets in my home, I create a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment. I have a spacious backyard perfect for playtime, plus easy access to the beach and a dog park—each less than a mile away. Based on your dog’s needs and your preferences, I can focus on beach outings, park trips, or backyard play. Your dog will receive plenty of love, attention, and mental stimulation, including walks, play, and cuddle time during their stay. If your pup needs extra guidance, I offer crate training and basic obedience support. I carefully follow any instructions you provide—whether it’s feeding routines, medication, or firm boundaries—to ensure a smooth, comforting experience. My goal is to keep your pet happy, healthy, and feeling right at home while you’re away.

Sussie was absolutely wonderful with our Daisy! She had such a great week and came home happily tired each day from all the neighborhood walks. Sussie’s calm, patient approach when Daisy felt a little anxious made all the difference, helping her feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. We loved receiving the daily photo updates, and the communication was excellent throughout. On top of everything, she was incredibly accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for better care for our fluffy gal - thank you, Sussie! Miss Daisy is looking forward to spending more time with you and your family in the future!

Traci is great! She goes above and beyond. 1st sitting she knew I needed to get more testing for my senior dog and offered to get a poop sample for me. I got to drive to the vet right after picking Leroy up with the sample. She always sends me a few messages and some pictures to share how LeRoys day is going. Love the communication!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Fort Lewis commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,461 sitters in Fort Lewis, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
