About: I've been caring for dogs and cats for over 10 years and have experience with pets of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. As a pet owner myself, I currently have two senior dogs, so I understand the patience, attention, and extra care that older pets need. I also previously cared for an epileptic dog, so I understand the importance of medication routines and recognizing when something may not be right. Every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I'll tailor my care to their individual needs to help them feel happy, comfortable, and most importantly, safe! I currently work remotely full-time, which allows me the flexibility for walks and drop-in visits before work, during lunch and in the evenings. About: Since I was a young girl, I have always been fascinated by animals—particularly dogs. I begged my parents to get me my first pet—Jasper, a rescued Labrador retriever—at age 7. Taking care of Jasper was my main focus as well the odd assortment of fish and hamsters we had. When Jasper passed, and I graduated high school, my next door neighbor had a litter of golden retriever puppies. I was ready to have another animal, and that’s when Kensie came into my life. Kensie was my soul dog, and she passed away two years ago. We did everything together—going to dog parks around town, Zilker park, and even red bud (before the algae), and going to dog-friendly establishments in Austin. She was my best friend. Unfortunately, her last few months on earth were extremely challenging. I was up with her three to four times a night (sometimes more), administering multiple medications, and helping her stand/walk. When the time came to say goodbye, I could barely make the decision to let her go. I miss her so much, but because of my current living situation, don’t have the opportunity to get another dog.
