About: Since I was a young girl, I have always been fascinated by animals—particularly dogs. I begged my parents to get me my first pet—Jasper, a rescued Labrador retriever—at age 7. Taking care of Jasper was my main focus as well the odd assortment of fish and hamsters we had. When Jasper passed, and I graduated high school, my next door neighbor had a litter of golden retriever puppies. I was ready to have another animal, and that’s when Kensie came into my life. Kensie was my soul dog, and she passed away two years ago. We did everything together—going to dog parks around town, Zilker park, and even red bud (before the algae), and going to dog-friendly establishments in Austin. She was my best friend. Unfortunately, her last few months on earth were extremely challenging. I was up with her three to four times a night (sometimes more), administering multiple medications, and helping her stand/walk. When the time came to say goodbye, I could barely make the decision to let her go. I miss her so much, but because of my current living situation, don’t have the opportunity to get another dog. That’s where Rover comes in. I love animals, and am extremely responsible when it comes to taking care of someone’s pet. This will give me my ‘fix’ and also be a productive side hustle for me. Lastly, i have lots of free time outside working of my Animal Hospital. :) I am currently working full time at my animal hospital i typically I only work 4 days a week from 7am-6pm with a 2 hour lunch grace period from 12-2pm. We can be available most days of the week with at least a days notice. We have a fenced backyard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur babies company. We won’t crate your pup unless you request it. About: We have raised 3 different dogs together. Two of those furr babies required medical care and special diets, so we are always very attentive and careful with all pets needs! We recently lost our precious boy River, due to his liver disease and we miss his presence tremendously. So having other pets over truly helps keep us going and having a boost of morale. With that being said, we will give your pet 100% of our attention at all times. You can trust your pet will be supervised and cared for all day. At least one of us is always home to supervise when we are dog sitting so your pet is never alone.
