About: I have taken care of dogs for 40 years on and off as people need me. I started with friends for free! I've volunteered at a local animal shelter. I've adopted dogs and 2 cats from local shelters. I took in my uncle's dog after he could no longer care for him. I've rescued dogs off the streets and taken them to local low-kill shelters! I actually love dogs and will greet them on the street before ever saying hi to their owners. I need to do better at that. Your dog will be cared for and looked after. I let them out 6-8 times a day in the fenced-in backyard Saturday-Monday. I am at work 4 days a week for 4 hours each day. So that is the longest they are left in the house. I have a housemate who loves dogs and helps take them outside as well. I enjoy them hanging around with me. If your pet needs to be in a crate at night, no problem. I have a large crate so you don't have to lug one around. If they don't need a crate, they are welcome to join my dog and me in my bed. If I have more than 2 visiting dogs, we all sleep on my 3 couches. Everyone gets their own space, even me! I also sit for friends, and most of my clients are by word of mouth, so they won't be listed on my Rover calendar. For example: Summer 2026: I've watched 5 visiting guest dogs. I'm getting 2 more in October. I have one dog of my own. I have one pretty mellow dog and one cat that likes dogs. My dog gets treats when I leave the house once or twice a day. Water bowls are always full. Dogs hang out wherever I am. If I am in my bedroom, the door is always open, they can come in. If I'm in the kitchen or living room or out back in the fenced yard, they are always welcome to be where I am. I have a secure, fenced-in backyard. I let the dogs go out as long as they want to be out. Usually, they don't want to come right in. I sit with them sometimes, or play ball and brush them. They are kept inside the house at night and most of the day, except for potty breaks. We are more careful in the summer heat, even though they seem to like being out there.

I know how hard it can be to trust your babies with someone new! I am in between jobs so I currently have full availability! About: If you have been looking for the perfect place to board or train your dog, this is it! Please be aware that this is in home boarding but I do utilize 5x5 kennels for safety when dogs are not with me. They are not allowed to free roam or interact with other guests unsupervised. I have years of experience in the veterinary field, rescue, boarding, and training. Not only can I administer medications, spot early symptoms of illness, and prevent injury/sickness, but I also am very experienced in animal behavior, how the dogs mind works, and can adapt to every individual dog to make sure their stay is enjoyable. I strive to create an environment where every dog can be safe and happy and would love to do so for your pup! Please message me if you are interested in booking a stay with your dog as we fill up fast! This is what I do full time so your dogs will have my attention and time all day! We focus on quality over quantity which means that every dog has the option to be taken outside individually or with a group (pending a behavior analysis). They can get lots of play time, or lots of rest time, depending on their temperament and what helps them feel the most at ease. We have spacious suites to allow for siblings to stay together when needed and accommodate toy breeds all the way up to giant breeds. All suites include a bed, AC/heating, as many trips outside as your pup desires, and all the love they could ever want. This is what I do full time so I am with the dogs throughout the day. They are the first thing I do in the morning and last thing before bed. We have fenced play yards, indoor kennels, heating, AC, and are home all day. We strive to keep your dogs safe and happy during their stay.

“I was traveling through and needed someone to take my dog out while I was at work. At first I couldn’t find anyone in the area that could take him out on those days and for a reasonable price. Luckily Genevieve got back with me ASAP and we were able to schedule a meet and greet as soon as possible. Her price is very reasonable, she’s polite and she was able to was able to accommodate my schedule, The only downside I’d have to say is the rover app is not the most intuitive and wasn’t able to get a lot of the messages from Genevieve and It was taking a long time to hear back from her (probably cause she wasn’t getting mine either) and it caused a lot of miscommunication. That being said If your in the area and need someone for drop in visits Genevieve would be a good fit.”
