About: What sets me apart as a dog walker and pet sitter is my deep passion for dogs and my commitment to their well-being. I bring several special skills to the table that make me an exceptional choice for your furry friend: Puppy Training Expertise: I have extensive experience in training puppies, helping them develop into well-behaved and socialized dogs. Whether it's basic obedience commands, leash training, or potty training, I can provide the guidance and consistency needed to nurture your puppy's growth. Senior Dog Care: I understand the unique needs of senior dogs, including mobility issues, dietary restrictions, and the importance of gentle exercise. I'm equipped to offer the extra care and attention required to ensure their comfort and happiness. Tailored Exercise Programs: I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to dog walking. I'll customize exercise routines to suit your dog's age, breed, and energy level, ensuring they get the right amount of physical and mental stimulation during our walks. Safety First: Your pet's safety is my top priority. I'm certified in pet first aid and CPR, and I use the latest safety equipment and best practices during walks. Rest assured, your dog will be in capable hands. Love and Affection: Beyond the skills and training, what truly sets me apart is the genuine love and affection I have for all dogs. I treat each furry companion as if they were my own, providing not only physical care but also emotional support and companionship. Flexible Scheduling: I understand that life can be unpredictable, so I offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your dog's needs and your busy lifestyle. Whether it's a daily walk or occasional pet sitting, I'm here to make your life easier. When you choose me as your dog walker and pet sitter, you're not just hiring someone to take care of your dog; you're gaining a dedicated, knowledgeable, and caring partner who will go the extra mile to ensure your pet's happiness and well-being. I am working full-time position from home and am looking to use my time in the evenings and weekends to help other pets get their exercise and gain enrichment. I walk my own dogs during my lunch break on the weekdays and take them for longer walks to the creek on the weekends. For Dog Walking Services in the client's home: Meet and Greet: Before any service begins, I like to schedule a meet and greet with the client and their pet(s). This helps me get to know the pet's personality, any specific needs or quirks they have, and allows the client to feel comfortable with me. Leash Walks: During the scheduled walk, I ensure that the dog gets the exercise they need. Walks are tailored to the dog's energy level and physical abilities. I always carry waste disposal bags to clean up after the dog. Fresh Water and Treats: I make sure to provide fresh water for the dog after the walk, and if allowed by the client, I may offer treats as a reward for good behavior. Safety and Supervision: While in my care, safety is paramount. I keep a watchful eye on the dog, ensuring they stay on a leash and away from potential hazards. For Pet Sitting Services in the client's home: Daily Visits: I visit the client's home as many times as required to ensure the pet's comfort. This typically includes feeding, changing water, and providing companionship. Medication Administration: If the pet requires medication, I follow the client's instructions precisely, ensuring the pet receives their medication on time. Playtime and Exercise: I engage in playtime activities with the pet to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. This could involve playing fetch, puzzle toys, or just some cuddle time. Regular Updates: I keep the client informed by sending updates and photos of their pet, giving them peace of mind while they're away.

About: (Brand new to Rover) I’ve been around animals since the day I was born, and dogs have always felt like big, goofy, furry toddlers — full of personality, joy, and chaos in the best way. I currently live in an anti‑pet apartment (tragic, I know), so I’m looking to fill that dog‑shaped hole in my heart by being the next best thing: your pup’s reliable walking and hiking buddy. I’m an active, outdoorsy person who loves long walks, trails, and exploring. Whether your dog is a tiny ball of energy or a large, gentle giant, I’m comfortable with all sizes, temperaments, seniors, and puppies. I’m patient, confident, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s quirks. What I offer: Long walks or trail hikes for high‑energy pups Picture updates so you can see their adventures Flexible scheduling — I’m a teacher on summer break, so I’m wide open With a friendly, upbeat personality, your dog will warm up quickly If your dog needs exercise, company, or just someone who treats them like the lovable toddler they are, I’d love to help. Let’s get your pup out exploring and having fun. As a teacher on summer break, pet care fits naturally and easily into my weekly routine. I’m active every day, walking, hiking, or spending time outdoors, so adding a dog to that rhythm feels like the most joyful part of my schedule. I have plenty of flexibility, which means I can plan walks around your dog’s needs rather than squeezing them into a tight window. (ADDITION: Until May 30th, I can only walk dogs on weekends because of my teaching and coaching schedule) Since I live in an anti‑pet apartment, all of my care happens in your home or out on the trail. I treat every dog like the big furry toddler they are, with patience, structure, and a lot of enthusiasm. Here’s what my care typically looks like: Consistent routines: I follow your feeding, walking, and potty schedule exactly as you prefer. Active outings: long walks or trail hikes for dogs who need to burn energy, or gentle strolls for seniors. Safety first: secure leashing, checking gear, watching for heat, and keeping a close eye on body language. Clean and respectful home care: wiping paws, refreshing water, tidying up any messes, and leaving your home exactly as I found it. Photo updates: I send regular pictures so you can see your pup’s adventures and feel connected while you’re away. Calm companionship: whether your dog is tiny and energetic or large and mellow, I match their vibe and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. Because I’m free all summer, I can offer flexible scheduling, longer walks, and extra attention, especially for dogs who thrive on activity and routine.

About: What sets me apart is my personal experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and life stages. I’ve raised and cared for five dogs throughout my life, including Labs, Golden Retrievers, Chihuahuas, and German Shepherds, so I understand the very different needs of small, medium, and large breeds. I trained my own puppy from 8 weeks old, teaching her a wide range of tricks and good behaviors, which gave me a lot of patience and training skills. I’m also comfortable handling more challenging dogs as one of my Chihuahuas was very aggressive, which taught me how to read body language and safely manage reactive pets, from a young age. In addition, I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs. I’ve helped raise multiple dogs into old age, including a German Shepherd that lived until 15, and a Labrador Retriever that lived until 17! I understand the gentleness, and care older dogs require. Overall, I bring a lot of confidence to this role because of my genuine understanding of dogs at every stage of life. I just finished my undergrad and plan to be home all summer. I begin graduate school in the fall online and will practically have no big everyday commitments. I have a few vacations planned but besides that I am an open book willing to work anytime. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible. (Dogs know their schedule!) I follow all instructions closely and carefully for any specific care needs. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. I have cared for dogs that experience extreme distress from their owner being gone and I have developed my skills to better care for dogs experiencing this. I’m also very attentive to behavior and health, so I can quickly notice if something seems off. I respect my client’s home by secure and exactly as I found it. My goal is to make both the pet, and the owner feel completely at ease, just as I would want if my dog was being watched.

About: I love animals and have volunteered at Middleburg Humane Shelter and fostered for them for the past 5 years. My favorite types of dogs are larger working dogs, but the smaller pups require a more delicate skill set that I'm thrilled to provide. I have experience with dog training and am able to be as strict or lax with your pets as you'd prefer. I have open availability for pet care, especially when approached with a job further in advance. That being said, I do keep pretty regular hours and have plenty of time so I love my last minute clients too! I have two cats and a German Shepherd mix! I have experience with dogs, cats, smaller mammals, and horses! My sister and I do some agility work with the pup, and I love to take my cats on day trips with me- they both walk on a leash! I'm happy to send you all the pictures in the world of your animals while I'm with them, report to you the exact mileage of walks, and love to snuggle on the couch with them if I'm house-sitting. I don't mind if you have cameras in your house to watch your pets; I just appreciate being told in advance.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and done training and dog walking in a shelter as a volunteer. I love getting dogs outside and letting them run around. I have been hiking with my dog for his entire life and was able to train him on the leash and off the leash to allow us to have the freedom to run free and the ability to get him on the leash and behave around other dogs and people on the road and on the trails. I have been dog sitting for the last 8 years and love spending time with all the pups. I can’t wait to take care of animals and give them the necessary play time and exercise when you’re not there to. I keep my schedule updated to where I am unavailable when I work to allow for your pets to get the utmost care. However I am willing to work with you around my work schedule! I have experience with reactive dogs and I will keep your dog safe and on a leash unless in a fenced in yard. I prefer staying at the dogs home to help them stay comfortable

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life. From housetraining puppies to caring for aging senior dogs, I have experience with a range of personalities/quirks and am very comfortable with large or hyperactive dogs and rescues. My older Beagle has a seizure disorder, so I have experience with caring for pups with medical needs and I can administer medication. I also have 5 years of experience volunteering in a high-volume animal shelter, working predominantly with large dogs, so I understand how animals might behave when they are in a stressful environment and interacting with an unfamiliar person. I strive to provide a stress-free, comforting environment while you are away so please let me know what your pup loves the most! What you can expect: — Time outdoors, playing or on leashed walks — Cuddles and belly rubs — Lots of (approved) treats — Every effort to stick to your pet’s routine and establish clear boundaries! I can provide in-home doggy day care and boarding on Fridays and weekends with a prior meet and greet. Your pup will never be left alone with my dogs when I’m providing doggy day care, but I do require them to be crate-trained for overnight stays. I work full-time during the week but have a very flexible schedule. I can provide morning walks, drop in visits and afternoon playtime before lots of attention in the evening. I can board one to two dogs in my home if they are crate-trained, but a meet and greet is required beforehand. They will not be left alone in my home with my pups unattended. I am available for drop-in visits and some housesitting. I am open to long-term, ongoing schedules as well as flexible, on-the-spot drop-ins. I can provide some services in my own home on Fridays and weekends. I am open to spending as much time as I can with your pup. I enjoy walks, playing outdoors and sticking to their routine as much as possible! I know it can be stressful for pets when their owners are gone so I strive to provide a stress-free experience for your best friend! I will use your standard equipment and follow all directions you provide, especially on walks. I have experience with escape artists and will do everything I can to keep your pup safe. I also am very neat and tidy, will clean up any messes your pet makes and will treat your space with respect.

About: Hello! My name is Amanda and I LOVE animals of all shapes and sizes. I have worked in animal medical centers as a kennel and doggy day care attendant, giving me valuable experience taking care of many pets at one time, including feeding and watering on a schedule, walks and play time, and administering medication. I know traveling can be stressful for pet owners (I have a dog of own) so I promise to give your pet the care they deserve, whether it be taking them on walks and getting lots of play time or just hanging out and giving them cuddles while you're away. I love getting to connect with pets while putting their owners' mind at ease. I look forward to meeting your sweet fur baby! I'm currently in between jobs, so my availability is very open. However starting around April/May, my schedule will be more limited to weekends and evenings only. I do not board pets in my own home, however in client's home I am respectful of pet and owners boundaries, following client wishes and maintaining a clean and orderly manner

About: *I’m willing to pick up/drop off or meet to assist with getting your pets to my home if it is more convenient for your schedule** I've been taking care of dogs since the age of 12, I'm now 29. It started with local dogs and cats in the neighborhood I grew up in to now doing it as a side gig and it has been the best decision I have ever made. I love the different types of dogs I get and all of the different personalities. I have yet to host a dog that didn't enjoy the walks, playing and cuddling provided at my house. I have experience with bathing, boarding, walking, feeding and shuttling to the vet. I love dogs of all breeds and sizes and can ensure you that they will have so much fun and love provided at my house, that they will never know you were gone :) Currently I have availability to board during the week, Monday through Friday and on the weekend 24/7 - as I am home & can accommodate any potty break schedule. . I accept early morning/late night drop offs and pick ups and am willing to meet you or pick up your pet if it is more convenient for your schedule. I have plenty of room run as well as two very spoiled and friendly dogs of my own. Both of my personal dogs can be crated if needed, as I introduce new animals slowly to mine to ensure they start off on good terms. All animals that come to my home will get plenty of love and making sure they are comfortable is my top priority.
