About: I’ve had pets since I was a kid and have always had a very large role in taking care of them. I love animals of every kind, and always have so much fun taking care of them. I’ve watched my family and friend’s animals many times, and always make sure to send lots of updates on how they are doing, as well as providing the best care! I have worked at a vet hospital as a receptionist, and in that role have had a lot of hands on experience with animals. It taught me how to work with every animal, and was one of my favorite jobs. I’m currently working as a substitute teacher, and am usually able to make my own schedule, which gives me the flexibility for all of your pets needs! I always make sure to read all care instructions through so that I can understand them so that your pet is getting the best care possible. I also am someone who will always take a gentle approach with your pet, creating trust between us. That trusting relationship is very important for all situations. I will always respect your space, making sure to leave it exactly how I found it!
“Kim was absolutely wonderful and took such great care of Luna. I received pictures throughout the weekend and I could tell that Luna was so comfortable with Kim and that she was well taken care of! Luna had an accident and Kim took care of it right away. I would recommend Kim to anyone needed pet care! Thank you ☺️”
“Amanda did a great job taking care of my 3 quirky dogs and 2 goofy cats. Upon her meeting all of them, I could instantly tell she was a animal person because they adjusted to her quickly when they normally don't. She kept me updated regularly with pictures of all of them. I would definitely recommend her and re-book her for my future needs.”

“Paul was awesome. He looked after my dog for 2 1/2 weeks while I was out of the country and I didn’t have to worry for one second. He checked in with me frequently and made sure I knew that OB was getting plenty of exercise. Thanks, Paul.”

“Miakoda house sat for us and cared for our two large dogs. She communicated well, and we trusted our dogs and house were in good hands. We are very happy and would recommend her services!”

About: I've been able to provide medication to pets and I know how to specify a pets needs based on their age and energy levels. I am flexible with hours and very dependable and accommodate all ages of pets. I am very flexible and am able to be available when needed. I can make my schedule work around the needs of my clients. I help to take care of friends and family pets on a regular basis as well. Paying attention to their needs, their age and what the pet owners are asking me to do. “Rebecca was amazing! The dogs love her so much they’re still looking for her in the guest room hoping to find her! We enjoyed our vacation so much more knowing they were in good hands”
“Monique was such a wonderful sitter! She was responsible, communicative and took great care of Bear! I would highly recommend her for any sitter needs! Thank you, Monique, I felt so comfortable that Bear was in great hands!”

“Caitlynn is one of the most sincere and responsible individuals doing pet care I have ever encountered! We did several pre-trip visits since my trip would be 10 days and out of country; and one of my 2 dogs is a chronic anxiety attached girl! The first few days she got very sick from the changes and not knowing what was happening. Caitlynn worked through all the issues with my veterinarian and her office. When I returned all was in a very positive condition to move forward. The veterinarian's office staff gave Caitlynn the highest praise of anyone they had encountered with someone else's pet! She is amazing and I now consider her a friend and family member to us! Sincerely...Sharon”

“We booked our second house sitting experience with Brian, and he was fantastic again! He even took our senior puppy to her vet appointment, as we couldn't make it home in time. Thank you Brian for taking such great care of our girl.”

About: What sets me apart is that I focus on making every dog feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I’m reliable, patient, and attentive to each dog’s personality and routine, whether they’re high-energy puppies or older dogs who need a slower pace and extra care. I’m especially comfortable with: - Puppies and young dogs, including reinforcing basic training like leash manners, potty routines, and positive behavior. - Senior dogs who may need gentler walks, medication reminders, mobility support, or a calmer environment. - Dogs with anxiety or shy temperaments, using patience and positive reinforcement to build trust. - Keeping owners updated with photos, walk summaries, and clear communication so they always know how their pet is doing. I treat every dog like they’re my own and aim to provide dependable care that gives both pets and owners peace of mind. I work part-time from home remotely, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your dogs. Available for dog walking after 3pm. I care for pets by keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible, whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in a client’s home. I take the time to learn each pet’s schedule, personality, exercise needs, feeding routine, and any special instructions so they feel comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, fresh water, and companionship while also respecting the owner’s space and routine. I keep litter boxes or outdoor areas clean, monitor pets for any changes in behavior or health, and provide regular updates with photos and messages. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment with plenty of supervision, affection, and structured routines. I make sure pets have comfortable spaces to rest, opportunities for exercise and enrichment, and slow introductions if other pets are present. My priority is always making pets feel safe, cared for, and loved while giving owners peace of mind that their pets are in reliable hands.
About: I’ve had dogs of my own for 19 years. They have all passed away. They were well trained and spoiled and now that I don’t have a dog, I want to take your dog on walks and play with them and spoil them. Your dog will be the only pet in the household and we’ll get lots of attention. My schedule varies so I will schedule pup sitting when I have less work or I am able to bring a behaved pup to work with me. I can make my work schedule accordingly. I have comfy dog beds , runners for outside or dog walks , I have huge or large crates if needed . Plenty of dog toys and blankets they will be cozy . I like to take pups in car rides .
About: My name is Kylie and I’ve always had such a strong passion for animals. I’m currently in school to be a licensed veterinary technician. While I pursue this, I also work full time in an animal emergency clinic. I have had 2+ years of animal emergency experience, including large dogs and cats, and even reptiles like snakes! I am comfortable pilling animals and have direct access to emergency care 24/7 in case your fur babies need it❤️. I currently own 2 cats of my own and a ball python. I’ve owned large dogs my whole life including a Cane Corso & Giant Schnauzer! I currently work full time in the animal emergency clinic. My schedule is Tuesday 11a-11p - Friday 7a-7p - Saturday 1p-1a and I do pick up shifts here and there. With this being said, I can come by before and/or after my shifts. I am currently not accepting boarding as my current living situation is not feasible for more animals than I currently own. I can care for pets in your home!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fish House walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fish House maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fish House choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
