She sent daily updates and pictures so I knew the dogs were getting walked and also getting quality "people time" on the couch! When we returned home, the house looked as clean if not cleaner than when we left. This was my first time hiring a house sitter and my first time using Rover, so I booked Lianna for a couple short drop-in visits so she and the dogs could get acquainted with each other before the long house sitting. I was pleased and comfortable with how she conducted herself and how she interacted with the dogs. In the past, I have boarded my dogs at the vet, but Lianna provided a better alternative at a lower price. When one of my cats (all indoor) got out by mistake, I did everything to get him back: -Made signs and posted in my neighborhood - got the help of an animal intuitive - walked the woods and my area 3x a day -posted all over facebook including Steve Caporizzo’s lost pet connection. - borrowed a motion camera I could monitor from my phone anywhere. -set up a shelter outside one of my doors with food, blankets and water. The night he came back Tommy was circling my house for an hour and crying for the 3rd night in a row. I sat on the step of the door he initially got out of, talked sweetly to him, he got closer and closer until he threw his body down to the pavement and crawled his way to me. It was amazing how he returned. I had a cat live 20 years and my oldest right now is almost 15. About: My house has been full of pets for as long as I can remember. I grew up with three cats of my own, both indoor and outdoor, as well as several family members dogs, including Cocker Spaniels and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I was also fortunate enough to spend time around neighborhood dogs that became a big part of my childhood. Over the years, my family has cared for many cats. We currently have six indoor cats ranging in age from nine years to six months. Every one of them was taken in as a stray when they were less than a month old, and we raised them ourselves. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have spend years helping neighbors with their dogs. I have regularly babysat, boarded, and walked dogs of various breeds, including a Goldendoodle and a Jack Russell Terrier. Being surrounded by so many different animals has taught me how to adapt my care to each pet's individual needs. About: I have tons of personal experience with my own childhood dogs as well as all dogs that I know through my friends, family friends, coworkers etc. whether your dog wants to snooze the day away or walk for miles on end and sniffing everything in sight, I’m happy to offer my time and attention for your fur baby to be 110% taken care of when you’re away. I also fully believe anyone on vacation should be able to enjoy their time away without excessive texts from a sitter—so unless you want extensive updates, I would only contact you if it was absolutely necessary/urgent. If you want daily updates, I’m happy to do so because I know I enjoy some cute pics of my cats snoozing away in the sun on days I go to the office! I work remotely and depending on your needs and distance, I am available for mid day drop ins. If given enough time to plan ahead, I can also be available to work remotely from your home to keep your pets company in your absence.
