About: I am the definition of an animal lover, which I attribute to having had animals around my entire life. I grew up with Australian shepherds, German shepherds, cats, hamsters, and even tarantulas! I am extremely comfortable walking dogs, giving them medication via food, and managing when to let them out to go to the bathroom. I’m also willing to give a big furry dog a good brush if they need it! I have lived primarily with big dogs, but have had close relationships with small dogs through friends and my husband’s family whom I have dog sat for in the past. In addition, I am a massive cat lover. I was given a kitten when I was 8 years old and had her for 19 years until she just recently passed. In her senior years, she had both hypothyroidism and asthma so I am well-versed in giving cats inhalers and medication in various forms (via dropper, ear application, in treats, and in food). I am a dependable dog and cat sitter/caretaker because I know how much your animal means to you. I’m an extremely organized person so you can count on me to be reliable with pick-up, drop-off, and everything in between. Taking care of your animal would not be a job to me because I am so happy to do it! I work twice a week so I could watch an animal full time during three weekdays in addition to weekends. I am still more than willing to watch animal for an entire week and either modify my work schedule to be with them more, or just make sure they are set up for the days I am in office. I have a non-smoking home with one cat and two people including myself. My home would be an extremely relaxing environment for a pet and due to my flexible schedule, I can dedicate nearly full-time care to an animal. Since I have a cat, I would only really be able to have dogs stay overnight for a couple-day stint since I'd prefer to keep them separate. In my client's home I would offer the same care in addition to respecting the environment. I'm naturally a very clean person and always pick up after myself.

About: I’ve been around any and all types of dogs since a young age. I am a future physical therapist assistant who is dependable, skilled in safety, and fun! My schedule is currently flexible between ending my school program and taking my licensure exam. I am a caretaker through and through and am eager to spread some of that love to dogs. About: I am experienced in administering medicinal injections, nail trimming and teeth brushing of larger breeds, lifting 60+ lbs, pad and potty training, and assisting senior and special needs dogs. I currently work remote and spend most of the day with my own pup by my side. We go to the nearby dog park at least weekly, go on two 20-25 minute walks (1mi+) daily, and play regularly throughout the day. He is very friendly and happy to tag along for any walks or play times, if the company is welcomed. I have a large crate available, if needed, and an in ground stake in the front and back yard with 30ft leads attached, allowing for plenty of time outside in shaded and unshaded areas. Food bowls are cleaned after every meal and pet waste is cleaned up after every trip outside.

About: I've had pets all through late childhood and into adulthood. I currently live in an apartment that makes owning pets difficult, but I love nothing more than to snuggle up on the couch with a fluffy friend and a book. About: So let's be realistic, we have pretty busy schedules as adults. I don't though so don't feel bad when you schedule me haha. I've been a papa to the biggest of fluffers and smallest of small dogs. I'm very familiar with the feisty kittens and old grumpy cats, and at one point even a gold fish I kept for 2 years. Anytime I'm not home baking or hanging out with a friend I'm normally just out and about exploring my neighborhood. My set preference schedule is actually just for when I have to either go to the gym or when I schedule appointments because Mondays work easier. Your pets are the number one priority. If they require something and I am attending them I make sure it happens. Not only is your space respected when I watch them but also the pets space. Feeding times, walk routes, and any medical requirements and boundaries will be discussed because all situations are different. If something happens like say something fell or they went potty by accident I will clean it up no problem. A work space is better when it's clean but also when it's fun!!! I do bring things like cleaning baggies and lint rollers but I can also make sure any particular scents are avoided.

It was hard to leave our dog as the 4th of July weekend is scary for her with the fireworks and she’s getting more nervous as she gets older, but when we got home we could tell Mark took great care of her (as always.) She wasn’t stressed at all and he took care of our house…mail, etc. as well. We love having Mark take care of Cookie as we don’t have to worry about her at all when we are away.
I have unfortunately had inconsistent experiences using Rover in the past and was hesitant in trying to find a dog sitter for a week long trip through Rover. Jacob however was great to work with and incredibly diligent and timely with my older (particular) dog. I cannot recommend him enough! His calm demeanor immediately put my pup at ease and he made sure to accomidate some specific needs (visits before I left, specific food needs and timely bathroom breaks) to keep my dog comfortable and happy. He communicated effectively before, during and after the trip, which is always greatly appreciated. I'll most definitely be requesting Jacob for any and all future trips.
