About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life. I had my childhood dog, as well as caring for numerous family members animals. I‘ve done everything from popping over to watch cats and refill their food to overnight stays to care for animals. I currently work full time, but I can always work things into my schedule as that is the only other thing in my life currently! I love when owners leave me notes regarding their pets care and little trick and habits that will help the pets feel more comfortable. I ensure safety and care to any pets I sit or walk.
“Grace was great! She was responsive, sent videos and pictures, and made me feel comfortable. My dog got sick before we left town and she was sensitive and kind and gave extra attention. We will have her again the next time we go out of town.”

We will certainly be asking her to watch our dog again in the future.”

About: I've spent my entire life around pets and animals and have pet sat for a lot of family and friends before. I always have loved spending time with animals and taking care of them. My family has raised a Lab, Goldendoodle, and a German Shepard, we are all pet lovers and are all very caring. I'm available all nights and weekends, on weekdays I have a flexible school schedule that allows me to be home multiple times per day. I am a senior about to graduate so I am taking a small amount of classes. I am very attentive to the pets I have cared for in the past, as well as my current pets. I keep to a schedule for feeding, walking, play time, and letting the pets out multiple times a day. This helps keep things organized and routine. I make sure all is well and keep communicating with their owners. Sending photos and videos to ensure your pet is having a good time.
“Becca was wonderful! She was able to watch Tazer on short notice over a holiday weekend. She sent updates and photos letting me know how he was doing. I have never had someone new watch him before and she said he adjusted well. It was such a relief knowing I could get away and he was in great hands. I will definitely be using her to sit again.”

“Declan did a fantastic job watching Gordon and Steven while I was away for the weekend. He stayed at my house, kept everything clean, followed all of the instructions, and took great care of the boys. When I got home, the house was in excellent shape, the dogs were happy and well cared for, and it was obvious they had gotten plenty of attention. Communication was easy throughout the stay, which gave me peace of mind while I was traveling. I would absolutely trust Declan to watch my dogs and home again, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and responsible sitter.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals throughout my whole life and using Rover since the middle of 2022. I don’t have any pets of my own and my home is quiet and peaceful. My genuine love for animals, experience with various breeds and special needs, beautifully fenced in yard by the water, and emphasis on love and patience collectively set me apart as a dog sitter who provides exceptional care and creates a loving environment for the dogs entrusted to me. Let’s set up a meet-and-greet so I can meet your pup and you can see how much fun we’ll have together! I like to start the day with a quick potty break followed by some playful yard time to get the wiggles out, then it’s straight to breakfast. During the day we’ll stroll around the neighborhood, and sniff out some new spots. By evening it’s all about winding down, cozy vibes, and a yummy dinner to wrap up a tail-wagging day! I care for pets by observing their behavior, exercise, play, walks, and snuggles. Please bring along any favorite toys, crate, blankets, or other comfort items they love.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently have an elderly Jack Russell Terrier and a spunky Chocolate Lab, so I understand the unique needs of both senior dogs and energetic pups. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs, including administering medications, following feeding schedules, maintaining training routines, and providing individualized care based on each dog’s personality and needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or a slower pace, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them feel comfortable and happy. I have experience with quirky personalities and understand that every dog is different. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Whether your dog needs a midday walk, early morning care, evening check-ins, or weekend visits, I’m often able to adjust my schedule to provide the care they need. Every dog and family has different routines, so I’m happy to communicate with you to create a care plan that works best for both you and your pup. My goal is to provide dependable, consistent care while keeping your dog’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. About: I have had Pers my whole life, and I am a very well - versed person when it comes to dogs. I constantly watch people’s dogs / walk them when needed. Especially during summertimes. I am good with taking care of older dogs and walking at their pace. I am currently home from school for the summertime, I am taking classes in the meantime but I love to spend time with nature. Dogsitting fits into my schedule because I like to get up early and take care of my priorities and I count animals as one of them I value pets the same way, if not more, to other people. I see pets as another me, and I wouldn’t want anything to happen to them because i set such a high value for them. I think pets are one of the best things in our lives, and I wouldn’t want anything to harm that.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Holiday Hills
I have unfortunately had inconsistent experiences using Rover in the past and was hesitant in trying to find a dog sitter for a week long trip through Rover. Jacob however was great to work with and incredibly diligent and timely with my older (particular) dog. I cannot recommend him enough! His calm demeanor immediately put my pup at ease and he made sure to accomidate some specific needs (visits before I left, specific food needs and timely bathroom breaks) to keep my dog comfortable and happy. He communicated effectively before, during and after the trip, which is always greatly appreciated. I'll most definitely be requesting Jacob for any and all future trips.

FAQs for House Sitting - Holiday Hills
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Holiday Hills on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 1,978 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Holiday Hills. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Holiday Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Holiday Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Holiday Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
