Susan took wonderful care of Roscoe. She was great with communication and kept me updated throughout the stay. We felt our fur baby was in good hands the whole time and I would recommend her to anyone else looking for pet care in the area.

Ebby loves her stays with Ed! She has the opportunity to play with other dogs and gets so much attention! Ed texted us pics of Ebby while we were gone. It is such a relief to know Ebby is in good hands when we can't have her with us.

Jeanne and her family are among Pippa’s favorite people. We live down the street from Jeanne and Pippa can’t walk past Jeanne’s house without wanting to stop for a visit. Jeanne always greets Pippa and me with enthusiasm and she fully understands Pippa’s energy. Jeanne always lets me know if Pippa has any issues during her stay, and Jeanne has also taken care of Pippa when she was sick and I had to leave town unexpectedly. I am grateful that I can always depend on Jeanne to take good care of my fur baby.

About: Bonafide Animal Lover! I grew up on a farm caring for many different animals & have always had either cats and/or dogs in my adult life. Most recent, I cared for our two adult male shepherds in all aspects - training, feeding, walking, nurturing and our two adult cats - training, feeding, activity and nurturing. My pets are part of my family & I will provide the same level of care to your pets as well! I am a semi-retired remote bookkeeper and empty nester therefore I am home most of the time and have plenty of time to do drop in visits, walking or boarding. My caution level for keeping my pets safe and well cared for is very high. They are part of my family. I focus on their daily feeding schedule, ensure the catbox is kept clean daily, play with them (laser pointer and feather toy) for their exercise, and provide lots of love and cuddles too. When I have our shepherds, I walk them daily and play fetch and tug of war with a ball or rope.

About: Hi! I am new to Rover, but caring for dogs is something my family truly loves. I have a friendly golden retriever named Stanley who absolutely thrives when he has other dogs to play with—so hosting furry friends is a joy for all of us! I work from home most days, which means your pup will get plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. My young kids also love having dogs around and are gentle, playful, and used to being around animals. I also have a cat in our home who is very comfortable around dogs—she and Stanley are great friends—so your pup should be cat-friendly or at least respectful of cats. I have a fully fenced-in yard for safe outdoor playtime, and I treat every dog that stays with us like part of the family. Whether your dog loves to play or just relax, I will make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and right at home. Since I’m just getting started on Rover, I’m excited to build relationships with both pets and their owners and provide a safe, trustworthy environment you can feel confident in. I currently work a hybrid schedule. I am home 2-3 days a week. We do have a fenced in yard and a doggy door. I have a fenced in yard and my animals are our family. They are welcome to lay where they are comfortable and shares the bed with me if needed.

About: Hi there! My name is Sage, and I’m passionate about caring for pets of all ages and needs. I have hands-on experience giving pills, shots, and other medications, as well as caring for both senior cats who need a little extra patience and love, and playful kittens and puppies. I’ve also helped with potty training for puppies and understand the unique attention that both young and elderly pets require. At home, I’m the proud owner of two cats who keep me on my toes and remind me every day why I love animals so much. My goal is always to provide the same level of care, comfort, and kindness to your pets as I do my own. I have evenings open to love on your pets! If you have a busy night planned or a late night at work, leave your pet in my hands! I know how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable in their own home. As a sitter, I provide respectful, reliable care that follows your pet’s normal routine, from feeding and playtime to medications and cuddles. Whether your pet is young, elderly, or needs special attention, I treat them with patience and love—just like my own two cats. I know my way around Mount Pleasant trails and parks when your pet needs to get some energy out!

Kelsey and her family made my pups feel at home the weekend they spent with them. They had never boarded before so I was nervous. She was very reassuring and communicative when I would text to inquire how they were. The dogs were safe and loved there. We would recommend Kelsey and her family as great place for your pet to stay.

Tabitha was great with Addie! She and her family made a gentle introduction to their other dog, and they had endless running and playing in their fenced yard! She also sent a bunch of photos and a video. We were grateful that our dog had such a fun filled day while we were away!

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Farwell home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Farwell.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Farwell sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
