“Abby did a great job of caring for Ebony., our 13+ y/o black lab. She's not overly active, but does like to play a few games. It was reassuring that Abby has volunteer experience at a vet clinic so I was comfortable that Ebony had special care. Abby kept us updated by messages and pictures. I would highly recommend Abby for any pet sitting. Since our experience was with a senior dog, we thought she did a wonderful job.”

“Ashley was great! She jumped right in with our puppy - playing, snuggling, and keeping the pup on a potty training schedule. Ashley’s communication was wonderful, and she sent lots of pictures and videos during her visit. We will definitely be reaching out to her again!”

“Caring, loving, thoughtful! Kirstin was a godsend when we traveled overseas and took care of our dogs. She kept us informed through WhatsApp. We so appreciated her loving care for our dogs.”

“Eric kept me informed, Bauer can be a handful but was going room to room to find his new friend Eric. I hesitate to give him a good review because I don’t want to share him. 10/10, Eric for the win!”

“Kayla is the best! Super responsive and flexible. One of our dogs is a big anxious boy (around 70 lbs) and she always knows how to keep him at ease. She is our go to sitter whenever we need one!”

“First time having Ella watch our senior dog and house sit. She was amazing as always! Followed all our directions to a T and sent tons of pictures and updates! We definitely will be booking with her again soon!”

“Leanne went above and beyond for our puppy, not just on regular days, but also when he was sick. I don’t know what we would’ve done without you, Leanne - thank you so much for everything!!”

“This was our first experience with using Rover. We were pretty hesitant and were indecisive. Ida was incredible to work with. During our meet and greet she made both us and our dogs comfortable and she was very welcoming. She is kind and detail oriented. I could tell she was trustworthy! She housesat for us for 3 days and always updated us on how they were doing and sent lots of pictures and videos. I will 100% use this service again and hopefully Ida will be available.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a child and helped care for and watch my grandparents’ pets when they were on vacation. As an adult I have experience caring for cats and dogs of all ages and sizes. I have three of my own cats that have a very specific care routine I follow each day. I also previously had a senior cat for 3 years until he passed due to cancer. I have a great deal of experience caring for multiple pets at a time, senior pets, and pets with medical concerns. My own senior cat required a lot of medication and special care. I also cared for a family member’s dog that had a severe heart condition. I’m very detail oriented and am excellent at following specialized and/or detailed pet care instructions. I’m also very experienced in recognizing concerning symptoms that would justify a vet visit for a pet. I just love animals and am very passionate about excellent pet care. Pets are our family. I know how challenging it can be and how important it is to find someone you trust to take care of your fur babies. I want you to have peace of mind knowing I’m there to love and care for your pets when you can’t be there yourself. I am a teacher with availability on weekends, as well as mornings and evenings on week days. I’m usually free before 8:30 am and after 5:30 pm on week days and have open availability on weekends. I will come to your home and provide care for your pets. I will feed them according to instructions you leave, scoop their litter boxes or take them outside to do their business, take them on walks or play in your home/yard, and give them plenty of love and snuggles. I also send very detailed information about my visits, as well as great pictures of your pets for you to enjoy while you’re away.

“Anna was absolutely amazing with our three shelties! We got lots of pictures of them having a blast and daily communication which helped ease any worry while we travelled out of state. Dogs were happy when we got home and I think they are wondering when Anna is coming over again for snuggles 🥰”

“Lee is fantastic for house sits, highly recommended! He took great care of our menagerie of cats, dogs, birds, fish, and a spider, and he handled the complexity of managing a number of elderly pet health needs and medications without any hesitation. He also was totally fine with it when our flights home were disrupted and the pets needed a little more care. Reliable, responsible, thoughtful—and a good pet photographer, which is always a plus when you leave your pets behind and miss them!!”

About: I’m Elizabeth and this is my baby-boy Umbra, a 3yr old Australian Shepherd. I love dogs, grew up with them, and when it came to purchasing a home, thought about my future dogs first… no, seriously! We have a large, fenced yard with plenty of room for dogs to run and play. Just a block away, we have a lovely wooded area for afternoon walks. Experience - My husband Nathan and I have taken Puppy, Adolescence, and Obedience 1, 2, and 3 training through Greater Lincoln Obedience Club - I was an Assistant Instructor for Obedience 1 - Volunteer dog walker at the Capital Humane Society - I've completed Grooming courses 1 and 2 through Kenl Inn - Pet First Aid course through Kenl Inn - Pet Massage course through SCC continuing education Umbra's Story Umbra is a high-energy, working breed so we got him into dog sports! He loved Agility 1, 2, and 3 until the teeter totter became too scary. We switched over to Flyball and self-taught Dock Diving. Because of his health, we’ve swapped dog sports for trick and sniff training. To keep him active and social we frequent dog parks, Offleash Dog Bar, and dog friendly stores and restaurants. He comes with us everywhere he can, and we’ve taken vacations just for him! When Umbra was a pup, we noticed abnormalities with his eating patterns and stool. For a year, we worked closely with our vet and uncovered severe food allergies, gastroenteritis, and a vitamin deficiency. Thanks to a restricted diet including daily vitamins and probiotics his tummy is doing well! When he was neutered, hip laxity was discovered that would eventually lead to arthritic symptoms. To give him a pain free life as along as possible, we added another daily supplement, started weekly water therapy, and were instructed to administer a monthly subcutaneous shot (Nathan handles the needle). It was discovering his enlarged heart that put an end to dog sports, but he still lives a fulfilling life. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. My day is already structured to include a minimum of 3 exercise / play sessions a day for 30-60mins each. Umbra is well socialized and loves large and small dogs. He would love for your pup to visit! Your dog will receive plenty exercise and play, belly rubs, neighborhood walks, and approved outings and treats. We have toys, puzzle games, and snuffling and lick toys for them to engage with. If they need a contained break, we have crates and a playpen to block off larger spaces. You will receive lots of photos and the comfort of knowing your pet is well cared for. For dog's staying in their own home, just let me know their routine and any special needs.

About: I have been in the pet industry since 2020 & have watched many dogs/cats over the years as well as reptiles. I love seeing how excited dogs get to see you & when a cat comes out of their hiding spot to eat their dinner! I have 3 cats of my own currently & had family dogs growing up but my apartment isn’t a good size for a dog right now. I currently have a job that varies on hours throughout the week but I am available most mornings/nights to take them out to the bathroom & provide food/water. I can also do dog walking almost every day of the week. I currently have 3 cats & they get wet food/dry daily and are also provided a clean water fountain that is replenished daily. I play with them as much as I can every day & they have a huge multi-level cat tree that they love so much.

“Hannah is phenomenal. Super friendly, punctual and professional. Scout is super timid and he took to her immediately and actually gave her a hug on her second sitting appointment, which he never does. I highly recommend her!!”

“Hattie did such an amazing job taking care of my 2 dogs. She sent regular updates and my pups were so well cared for. I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs and my home in her care. I will definitely ask her to help us out again in the future!”

Elizabeth & Nathan S.
“I’ll be booking Elizabeth again and again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have four dogs with very different needs, and Elizabeth handled them all with care, love, and professionalism. My senior dachshund requires daily medication for back pain and arthritis, plus close monitoring for anxiety and special feeding instructions. I also have two rambunctious 5-month-old dachshund puppies who aren't fully potty trained yet, so they need lots of supervision and trips outside. My cattle dog is pretty easygoing, but still part of the pack! Elizabeth took care of all of them for 8 days, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She sent me updates and photos every single day, which helped so much with my anxiety about leaving them. I felt completely at peace knowing they were in her care. It was clear from the beginning that she’s a true dog lover—she treated my pups like her own. The fact that she has experience caring for a dog with medical needs was a huge plus and gave me so much confidence that my senior dog would be in capable hands. I’m incredibly grateful for Elizabeth’s attention to detail, calm presence, and the genuine affection she showed my dogs. I already booked her again and will continue to do so anytime I need help. Highly, highly recommend!”

Sabrina P.
“I can’t thank Sabrina enough for taking care of my 2 cats and leopard gecko while I was away! She treated my pets like her own, making sure they had the proper care, love, and attention. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such great hands while I was away. I highly recommend Sabrina to anyone looking for a kind and trustworthy pet sitter.”

Amber F.

“Amber is amazing with my senior dog! He has a hard time getting around. She is so patient and gentle with him. He just loves her! Amber will be our longtime sitter from now on!”

Family Acres pet parents share their Rover experiences
Lee always does a terrific job! Our dogs do not trust many people, but they trust Lee and he always takes time to make sure they are happy and comfortable. He takes time to walk them, sit with them, and we could not be happier with how our boys are taken care of. Lee is our go-to dog sitter!

First time users with Rover and we hit a home run. Reagan is amazing!! Leading up to our trip, she communicated quickly and clearly. We met with her prior to leaving and she put our minds completely at ease. During the trip we got pics of our pups, were able to communicate with her, and could relax knowing our two dogs were in great hands. And when we returned you wouldn't even know she was here, everything was clean and tidy. I can't recommend Reagan enough!

Joy was an absolute, well, joy! She took such incredibly good care of Maggie, who can get anxious when we’re away. Maggie was so happy and calm when we returned from our trip and I could tell she had been well loved in our absence. Joy was a great communicator and took amazing photos of Mags throughout our trip to keep me updated. She took great care of the house, too, and even did laundry and vacuumed before she left!
