I’m going be Keira’s newest regular client. Keira is the most awesome and pet dedicated person I’ve met in a very long while. Arrow is a retired VA Service Dog with some health issues. Rosie is a wee Lil’ Red Heeler with a ton of energy. She’s also afraid of new people. Both took to Keira immediately. She’s thoughtful, professional and dedicated. Hire her.! If anyone says Keira isn’t the best pet sitter ever…. Have them call me. I’ll call them a liar None better. Lazar Keller

About: I love dogs, they deserve everything and more, and that includes a well balanced life. I am recently retired from doggie daycare after almost 18 years and I also run a non-profit rescue for senior dogs which I have been doing for more than 10 years. To say dogs are my life is an understatement. I am looking to still spend time with dogs, but in a different arena. I am available to walk in the morning hours before it gets hot or during the day to spend time with your senior pets inside. Your dogs will be treated as though they are my own while in my care. I am respectful of other people's property and am trustworthy.

About: Ever since I can remember, dogs have been a part of my life. Growing up, my home was always filled with the joyful energy of dogs, and that deep connection has only grown stronger over the years. This lifelong passion led me naturally into pet sitting, where I've had the joy of caring for many wonderful dogs. Each one has taught me something new about patience, joy, and unconditional love. Today, I share my home with Oakley, a chocolate lab whose calm and sweet nature enriches my life every day. He loves other doggies and is very gentle with all doggies - he somehow loves specially the tiny ones. Since I work remotely with a flexible schedule and my husband serves as an EOD in the Navy, I’m home a lot and able to give your dog the care they deserve. I am available every day from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM(+please text for longer request) to provide dedicated and loving care for your pets. :) In providing care for pets, whether in my home or a client’s, safety, trust, and a nurturing environment are my top priorities. My home features a securely fenced yard where dogs can play and enjoy the outdoors safely. I love being active with the pets I care for, and with the owner's permission, I frequently take them on outings to local parks and beaches. These activities are not only fun but also crucial for their physical health and mental well-being. I ensure that every pet in my care feels comfortable, secure, and engaged, treating each one with the same love and attention I give to my own beloved dog, Oakley

About: I have grown up with dogs and have two fur babies of my own.😁 I’ve also lost one of my babies to organ failure so please trust that I understand how that feels and promise to love and treat you pets like they’re my own babies!❤️ **no guarantee for meet and greets on last minute bookings** I’ve molded my work schedule to fit the needs of my dogs. This means I mainly work the overnight shift to ensure I am not disrupting the needs of my dogs. So for the most part I am at your beck and call :) Just like mentioned above I will love your pets as if they were my own! And this means tons of snuggles and treats! I believe there is no way to spoil a dog 😉

About: I am an animal lover and owner. Currently I have two cats that are litter mates and look almost identical, but of course not to me. Their names are Stimpy and Lily, and they are 4 years old. I have a background in behavior, specifically using positive reinforcement, which helps a lot with animals and their behavior. I understand the love that people have for their pets, and the desire for caretakers that would love them and treat them well in their absence. I treat all animals how I would like others to treat mine. I have many years of experience with animals and caring for them while their families are away. If you have any additional questions please feel free to message me! I look forward to working with you and your fur babies!

One of the reasons I selected Megan to be my dog's sitter is because of her ability to deal with older dogs. Megan has not disappointed me! She is a fantastic dog sitter and I highly recommend her to anyone who has a older dog!

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Fallon stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
