About: I have owned pets for all my adult life. Treat pets as they are family. Been watching and caring for a friends dog while he is working in Calif. I am open most days for services, as I do not have a corporate job. I can spend more time with your fur babies if needed. I have a fenced 1/2 acre in Fallon. I will treat your fur babies as they are my own. Would be careful entering and exit your home.

About: I have 5 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and other pets, including walking, feeding, administering medication, and providing lots of love and attention. I’m dependable, attentive, and understand that every pet has its own personality and needs. My goal is to keep pets happy, safe, and comfortable while their humans are away Hi! I’m Keira 🤍 I’m a dependable, attentive pet sitter who truly cares about the animals I look after — their comfort, routines, and safety always come first. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality and needs, whether that means giving extra love, moving at their pace, or simply being a calm and familiar presence while you’re away. I’m very detail-oriented and always follow care instructions closely, because I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets. Your pet will get the love and attention that they deserve. I believe pets should get as much respect as humans do! They are our babies!

About: Ive grown up with dogs of all kinds my whole life. I think of them as the best version of people, theyre all so different just like us! Every dog has their own personality and their own way of doing things. Im well versed in the four leg trade from feeding them, giving a wonderful bath, getting them exercise, training them especially to be easy when taking treats, and so much more. I work in town 4 days a week about 8 hours a day. I can fit your fur babies into my schedule without any hassle. I live close to town so swinging by a few times a day to check in and hangout with the animals isnt an issue. When I watch my family's dogs for a few days I usually bring them to my home or stay at theirs. For the dogs safety, if they come to my house I prefer to have them in a kennel just to make sure they won't chew anything or get into anything that could hurt them. I like to treat all the animals as my own and how I would want someone to treat my own dog.

About: I've been rover verified and trusted for 5 years and I recently moved back home from Soquel for a 5 month stay as well as Clearlake CA. from running a bed and breakfast for the past 2.5 years where i also did my pet/house sitting. Animals are my passion and if you know me, you love me. i'm respectful, clean, and responsible. I've had some wonderful pets in my life, but at the moment do not have any animals. I am on the lookout for the perfect dog and hope to find her soon. I'm that girl who stops and asks to pet every dog along my path. I even roll down my window to talk to the dog in the car next to me. Oh and dont let me see an animal who is in distrees, lost or scared. My super hero cape comes out. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and if you pick me you will see they love me right back. Thanks for reading I am currently employed part time so I have lots of time to hang with the fur babies. I will make your pet and home my priority. I want your pets to feel like mom and dad are not really away and aunt Rene is visiting. They will be spoiled with attention.

About: With 14 years of diverse experience in pet care, I bring a unique depth of knowledge and skills to my role as a pet sitter. My journey includes 10 years of in-home pet care, 6 years in doggy daycare, and 6 years in veterinary medicine. This broad exposure has equipped me with the ability to handle a variety of animal temperaments and cater to the unique needs of each pet. My time in doggy daycare has honed my skills in managing and understanding different animal behaviors, while my veterinary experience has sharpened my ability to recognize emergencies and respond swiftly to ensure the pet receives the necessary care. This combination of experiences ensures that I am prepared for any situation and can provide the best care for your pet. Pet care integrates into my weekly routine, as I currently work part-time, totaling 12 hours a week, at a local animal clinic in Fernley. This arrangement provides me ample time to dedicate to caring for animals. My flexible schedule allows me to easily accommodate pet sitting and care, ensuring that I can provide attentive, personalized care to each pet. In both my home and my clients’ homes, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for the pets I care for. When caring for pets in my home, I ensure they have a welcoming space with plenty of room to play and relax, following their routine as closely as possible to make them feel secure and at ease. I maintain strict hygiene standards and keep the area safe and pet-friendly, with all necessary supplies at hand, including toys, bedding, and emergency contact information. In my clients’ homes, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s routine to provide stability and comfort. I am attentive to the pet’s needs and behaviors, making sure they receive regular exercise, playtime, and any required medications or special care. I communicate regularly with the pet owners, providing updates and photos to assure them that their beloved pet is in good hands. In both settings, I am adaptable and responsive to the specific needs of each pet, ensuring they receive the best possible care under my supervision

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
