About: Howdy! I’m a EMT student trying to incorporate my love for animals in with keeping in shape for my next career. I’ve lived and worked on farmland all my life — I’m not phased by aggressive *livestock*, much less a reactive dog! I spend a lot of my time currently training dogs for people in need, and working with shelters to help their nervous dogs develop some adoptable skills. I’ve also been volunteering with disabled animals (wildlife and domestic alike) since I was in middle school, in rehab facilities and as a home foster, and I’m very accustomed to delivering meds to all the most resistant patients. They’re a part of my daily function — they eat when I eat, I don’t go for runs without them, and if I’m going to any pet-friendly store they can behave in, they’re already in the car. My pets and any others in my care are not only my first priority in terms of safety, but in fun! My career and lifestyle has had me naturally trained in pet aggression and reactivity, including muzzles and muzzle training, crate training, heavy leash pulling etc.
About: I have had my own dogs and cats my whole life and currently have one dog and one cat. I worked at an animal shelter through high school with all kinds of dogs and cats and am comfortable with pretty much anything they can throw at me. Sometimes accidents happen and it’s ok and sometimes they get scared when new people are around which is totally understandable. I’m very comfortable being patient with any animal who needs a little extra love and understanding. I am currently a full time student and usually my day is pretty open on any day I don’t have class and in between my classes. I have two pets of my own who I get up early to take care of before class and always make sure I’m home to take care of after class. Weekends that I’m not visiting family are usually completely free as well. In a client’s home, the most important thing for any nervous pet will be respecting boundaries. I have a nervous girl dog and girl cat so I totally understand when they are a little hesitant to new people. But if they are sociable and want plenty of love I can absolutely give that too. I am very good at reading their body language and actions to determine what they want or need in the moment and will absolutely respect that their space if they want that.
About: Having owned a barn I have experience with all types of pets. I have experience with difficult pet kids. Trained in administering oral, IV & IM meds. My schedule allows me to be available anytime at your place or mine. Boarding, daily walks, just some together time or vet apts. Your companions care is my priority. About: I’ve been taking care of Dogs since I was 8 different types of dogs. This allowed me to understand different types of dog behavior. It's been a true passion of mine to take care of dogs. About: I absolutely love animals, especially dogs. I’ve raised my own chocolate lab the past 9 years as well as having dogs my whole life back home. I am a graduate student at UF so I do have a busy class schedule but have weekends free! I’m home a lot outside of class time. If you’re worried about your pet getting bored or lonely between visits, I can turn on some Pet TV! During visits I like take pictures and videos and provide you with those, as well as text updates. If you want daily updates that’s no problem at all! I provide all these services during overnight stays as well. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
