“Ellie was fantastic with my kitty. All visits were done timely and well. She’s a great caregiver and my kitty liked her. She sent photos and videos each visit. I’ll re-book Ellie again.”

“Brooklynn was great! She took care of my Holly girl, gave her lovings, fed her and gave her water, gave her treats, and took her out to potty. Also sent pictures of my girl while I was gone. Everything that I asked for. I’m impressed and will use her the next time.”

“Summer was so easy to work with and clearly has a knack for animals. My skeptical aussies and cat loved her right away. She has a calm demeanor and responds promptly with comments and photos!”

“Pictures with every check in. Asked about any medical or prescription routines. Was very complimentary of my dog’s personality. Would absolutely hire again and recommend anyone else to do so!”

About: I have grown up caring for both dogs and cats. I have experience as a pet store animal department manager caring for a variety of animals as well as vet clinic experience. I have experience with animals including but not limited to; cats, dogs, senior pets, reptiles, tarantulas, fish, rodents, rabbits, insects, and more! I'm currently working part time, which means I have flexible availability. On the days that I work, my shorter shifts will allow me to visit your pets every day, before and after my shift if needed. I know the importance of staying vigilant around any pet. From my experience from working at a vet, I've seen what can go wrong and what can be done to prevent it.
About: I have watched all kinds of breeds of dogs for about 7 years now for friends and family when they go out of town or on vacation. I currently work 7:30 to 4 during the week and work from home, I am available after work during the week, and on nights and weekends. I prefer to watch dogs at their owners houses rather than mine because it is easier on the animals to be in their own environment.

About: I have many years of experience working with all kinds of animals. Including cats, dogs, and horses I was raised around animals and have also trained some animals. I am happy to train yours, including basic training like sit, stay, and down! I’m currently a full-time student, but I have flexibility day-to-day. I am willing to work with whatever schedule and needs that you may have or request. I mostly just offer drop in visits and dog walking, but I am a patient caregiver who loves spending time outside and I can’t wait to meet your fur babies

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds since the age of 14. Neighbors, friends and family have all trusted me to care for their pets! I treat all pets like they are my own and give them the care they deserve! I’m currently working part time and doing an internship 3 days a week so I will have plenty of time for your pups! I am available for drop in visits Wednesdays, Fridays and all weekend! I care for my clients’ pets as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their familiar home environment. I carefully follow all instructions provided, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication needs, and any specific preferences or behaviors. I prioritize keeping pets on their normal routine to reduce stress and help them feel secure while their owners are away. During each visit, I spend quality time with the pet—whether that’s going for walks, playing, or simply providing companionship. I also monitor their behavior and well-being closely and will communicate any concerns right away. I provide regular updates, photos, and messages so owners can feel reassured that their pet is happy and well cared for. In addition to pet care, I respect my clients’ homes by keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly as they left it. My goal is to provide reliable, attentive, and compassionate care so both pets and owners feel completely at ease.
About: I absolutely love animals, more than people. If a dog doesn’t trust you, I don’t either. My animals are my children and I don’t care what you think. ❤️ I am flexible with my work schedule and can leave midday to let your furbaby outside and also stop by before and after work, plus weekends I’m available any time! I take care of my animals better than I take care of myself. My animals are well taken care of and always will be. My animals eat before I do. My animals love walks, playing for hours and enjoy being tucked into bed each night.
“Kayla accommodated us at the very last minute. She was very kind, easy to talk to and did very well with our boys with little time to prepare! I would definitely recommend!”

About: Hi there! I'm Kels; lover of all things furry, but especially dogs. I've had dogs all my life. Grew up in a home that fostered often. I tried fostering once and she never left. 😆 I have 2 doodles of my own. A 9 year old labradoodle and a 4 year old golden doodle. I've dog sat for friends and family for years in their home, my own, or regular drop ins. I promise to give your dog real attention and affection. My furs are my life and I will treat yours with as much care as I treat mine. I love sharing pictures of your pets while you're away to give you peace of mind and hopefully a few smiles. I know that's something I look forward to when I am away from my pups. I work full time from home with a fairly flexible schedule. I can easily modify my break times for walks, potty breaks, and of course snuggles and playtime. When visiting your home I promise to treat it with respect; valuing your property and privacy. My home offers a fenced in front yard for safe potty breaks, but they will always be monitored when they have access to the yard. For those needing more adventure and space there are 12 acres of grass, trees, and lake to play in. We can discuss placing a GPS fence collar on them if they will have time outside the fenced yard. Safety, fun, and affection are the priorities over here.
About: I love all breeds, sizes, and ages of dogs. I’m very active college students who loves animals. I’ve had 2 80lb golden doodles and was a summer dog sitter for 4 years! I am a college student and is available throughout the day during the week or weekends. I can be available for either quick walks or long stays! I love to spend quality time with your pets and I’m happy to take them for either short or long walks or play in the yard. I also am very clean, organized, and respectful of your home!
“Evelyn/Evi was great with Chayce, she checked in on her several times. She fed, walked and even brushed her. Our dog is scared of fireworks & when Evi checked on her in the evening when fireworks were being fired off she sat with her & gave her comfort. This is the first time we’ve let someone Chayce didn’t know take care of her & she really took a liking to Evi quickly. We received pictures & videos which were nice, we had no worries with Evi. I would highly recommend her for pet care. We will definitely use her again when we need a dog sitter.”

“Alaina was so great to our cats while we were gone for a week! She was super communicative and sent us lots of photos and videos of our sweet babies :) We will definitely book with her again in the future!!!”

About: I am quite comfortable with all sizes of dogs, from small to big. I have a special love for the big guys! I would be comfortable with giving ear or eye medication, but would want to make sure your pet feels safe enough with me to give oral medication. I love to go for walks, and would be thrilled to have your loved one join me! I am a full time nursing student and would love to fit your pet into my schedule! I would be able to stop in to check on your loved one or take them on a walk primarily on the weekends. If you need care during the week, it would be late afternoon/evening when I can be with them. If you need a early morning check in, let me know! I'd be happy to try and work something out with you. Comfortability for you and your pet are my main priority. I would love to meet and learn more about them prior to our first service! This is to ease not only your pet but also make sure I am a good fit for you both. I am happy to hang out at your home and play with their favorite toys and give them their favorite treats.
“And it was great! She took care of a dog a cat and a bunny. Everyone was healthy and happy upon our return. She even pointed out other things such as the cloudiness of our pool because the pool service had not shown up. We will book with her again.”

Tyler is the best kitter sitter. She spends extra time with my fur babies to ensure they feel secure. She is attentive and reactive. We lost power while away, Tyler ensured all the lights were turned off when the power reset. She goes above and beyond for us. She will always be our first go to person.

This was the first time I hired anyone from Rover to sit for my cats. I usually had a friend check in on them while I was away. But I needed someone who could give injections to my cat Fred, who turned diabetic.Amber did a great job. She had no issues giving Fred his insulin. And Brownie, who would be MIA when visitors come, actually came out of hiding a little bit, so I was glad. I will keep her on my list for future jobs. Good job Amber.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
