We offer the most unique experience for your pets, allowing them to have their own getaway when you have things come up in life. Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!

I have administered daily oral medications and specialized diets to pets with chronic health conditions, ensuring 100% adherence to care plans. I have volunteered at the local animal shelter in the past and also used to work at a grooming salon! I currently have a job as a registered nurse but my schedule is flexible allowing me to care for your pets when needed! About: My love for animals began when I was growing up surrounded by cats, dogs, horses, ducks, and chickens. Over the years, I’ve also gained experience caring for smaller pets like ferrets, hamsters, and guinea pigs. I pride myself on creating enriching experiences for the animals I sit through play and exercise. I’m a freelancer by trade and work for myself so I have open availability during both weekdays and weekends with limited notice needed to make myself available. I ask that pet owners provide any necessary supplies as I do not have them at home. I do live in a newer apartment complex with a fenced in playground for dogs to run around and lots of sidewalk space for walks.

About: I've had dogs as pets since I've been a little girl so hand in hand. I've taken care of dogs since I've been a little girl. Every time my dad goes out of town. I watch the animals. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
