We had a few rotations of sitters to cover the several weeks we were gone (family and a neighbor), and Valerie was definitely the most experienced of them all. Our one cat takes a pill daily, and while he takes it just fine for his mom, he wasn't taking it for the sitters. Valerie came up with safe, creative ways to get him to take his pill. She also left wonderfully detailed check-in notes and was very communicative. About: I’ve had 3 black labs in my lifetime- all over 100lbs, & taken care of my grandma’s dog- who is about 15lbs. I’ve had lots of experience walking, feeding, caring for all kinds of dogs! At the my parents house at the moment, we have an 3 year-old & a 10 year-old dog, so I am comfortable & knowledgeable on taking care of young pups or older dogs. I absolutely love dogs, as my dogs at home are my little babies! I’m looking forward to getting that dog interaction and love while at school through dog sitting and walking! I do have class everyday during the days, so dog sitting during the week might be hard. The weekends are always very chill for me, so I can also devote a lot of time to dog sitting on those days as well!:) In my parents home, we practically cherish our dogs like they’re another child. We spend a lot of time with them outside & playing with them! We like to keep our dogs very active- & I intend to do that with the dogs I sit as well! Of course, if the dog is older there won’t be quite as much activity… but still lots of pets & love!
