“My dog had a great stay with Steve and Patty! He had a great time with the other dogs and came home home happy. Steve was great to work with and it was easy to schedule and drop off/pick up my pup. Thank you! We’ll be back!”

“Dana was wonderful! She sent us photos and video of our golden, Wally during his stay and also sent text messages to let us know how he was doing. We felt so comfortable leaving Wally in her care. Thank you so much Dana for taking such good care of our boy!”

“During the introduction meeting Carolina and her family were all so welcoming and kind and Carolina was obviously on point professionally so I was completely comfortable with leaving Onyx with them. The appointment went very smoothly and I highly recommend her to anyone needing a dog-sitter.”

“Great, friendly service! I loved the pictures and updates. I’ve never seen my dog sad to leave a boarding stay but she literally turned around to give Alex a lick on her way out.”

“Bee was great. Was able to get my pups in on short notice. My one dog has fear aggression with some people but was OK for Bee and even warmed up to her. She answered right away when I texted to check in on them. My dogs seemed happy and comfortable when I went to pick them up! Would certainly use her again for future trips if needed.”

“We were extremely pleased with the care and attention that Michelle gave to our dog Dixie. She took great care of our dog and when we came to pick her up, I think Dixie would have been happy to stay longer. The house, the accommodations and the caretaker were perfect for our dog and she was very relaxed when we came to pick her up. Michelle was a very good "fit" for us and Dixie. We definitely would use Michelle again.”

“Alexandria was awesome. Easygoing, communicative, flexible and totally capable. We really appreciate her taking care of our sweet pup for the night! He came back happy as a clam.”

“Kathryn and Jared were great with our female pittie with her 11 day stay. Their dogs welcomed her, and they had a great time just by looking at the pictures they sent. We will definitely use them the next time we go on vacation.”

“Laura was incredibly sweet, and sent many adorable pics and videos of Watson playing while I was away. It is clear to me that he felt extremely comfortable with her in zero time, and that he had immense fun playing with the other dogs that were staying with her. Both Watson and I are very pleased and he will for sure be visiting again in the future!”

About: For nearly 20years I’ve been caring for animals of all types. I have experience with Dogs, Cats, Rodents, Reptiles, and just about everything in between. Family, Friends, Neighbors, Co-Workers and Clients have relied on me to care for their furry family members & I’ve had furry family members of my own my whole life. I have worked with all ages and sizes, and am comfortable with pets with disabilities or medical needs. For the past 16years I’ve cared for people with disabilities as a Direct Support Professional. I am currently doing that as a part-time night shift, so I am available most days and eves, during the week and on weekends! I have loved many forms of my own pets and understand the importance of safety and trust that comes with caring for another’s loved one. I currently plan to do pet walking, play dates, and sitting in your home. May consider overnight stays. May consider boarding on case by case basis. Always open for requests, and again, will consider on a case by case basis.

“We had a great experience with Jessica and Matthew! They took wonderful care of our dog, kept us updated and even sent photos while we were away. It was clear that he was happy and well cared for. We would definitely book with them again and highly recommend them to others!”

“❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Courage loved Charlene and her husband so much! Courage can be a very difficult dog so I was extra worried about finding a sitter who could handle him. So when we met for a meet and greet, I was so relieved and I could immediately tell that Courage would be in good hands. He doesn't always get along with strangers but he loved his stay at Charlene's! She sent me pictures throughout his visit, which was awesome. You can tell that Charlene absolutely loves dogs and loves dog sitting ❤️ I highly recommend her! ??”

“Luann was such a perfect fit to watch our Mabel. She is great with dogs, has a beautiful home, and huge fenced yard for outdoor activity. She graciously provided us with pics and videos while we were away which we appreciated. So thoughtful. We will definitely be booking again in the future!”

“We were so thankful that Kellyanne was available for us last minute, especially since our boy Odin had recently been dealing with a leg injury. She was so accommodating and made sure we were comfortable, as it was also our first time boarding him. Would definitely recommend Kellyanne!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Endicott
Reina had a wonderful time with Mary! From the moment we met her, it was clear how much she genuinely loves and cares for the dogs in her care. She took the time to introduce Reina to the other pups in a calm, thoughtful way, which made us feel so comfortable. On this rainy day, the dogs enjoyed a relaxing, low-key environment with plenty of cozy couch snuggles. It was exactly the kind of calm atmosphere that suits Reina's personality. As pet parents, it's not easy trusting someone else with your fur baby, but Mary gave us complete peace of mind. We are incredibly grateful to have found someone who is so kind, compassionate, attentive, and trustworthy. We wouldn't hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pup!

We were so thankful that Kellyanne was available for us last minute, especially since our boy Odin had recently been dealing with a leg injury. She was so accommodating and made sure we were comfortable, as it was also our first time boarding him. Would definitely recommend Kellyanne!

- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
