Information Mary Y. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know all their routines, habits, likes and dislikes. I enjoy hosting well socialized pups and I also have a soft spot in my heart for the older and senior pups. I prefer not to do drop ins with aggressive dogs as I am not a trainer and feel someone better qualified in these types of dogs would be a better fit for you and your needs.

A typical day

I love getting to know each pup or kitties personality. I enjoy playing with the pups whether iits throwing a ball or tug of war and of course my lap is always available for those cuddly pups. I try to maintain the same schedule the pups have at home. I enjoy taking several pictures throughout the day and will send you updates to keep you informed on how your pup is enjoying their stay.

Camp Iwanna Barkalot

Pet care experience

I have been around animals my whole life. My Grandfather was a Veterinarian and I was fortunate enough to be educated by him on all types of animals. I have been a 5 Star Rover sitter since 2016. My home is located in a quiet Vestal neighborhood. I have three small pups from 6 to 15 years old. My little Camp Counselors love having new friends come to play. I do require a Meet & Greet for any first time client. I also offer Puppy ( Under 1 years old ) care for pups who have completed their puppy shots. To safe guard each pups health I ask new clients to supply a copy of your pups updated shots record. I look forward in meeting you and your pup and hope my home can be your pups safe, fun and comfortable home away from home.

Mary is amazing! She is very accommodating and kind to my elderly beagle, who felt right at home at Mary's. Excellent communication and flexibility. My pooch will be spending time with Mary during future trips I need to make!

Leaving Frances and Dexter for more than a night — especially while traveling internationally for a full week — was something I was incredibly anxious about. Mary exceeded every expectation I had and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. This was Dexter’s first extended stay away from me, and within the first few days he developed some stress-related GI issues from the transition. Mary handled everything with incredible patience, compassion, and attentiveness. She prepared special food, administered medication once it was dropped off, and treated him with such genuine tenderness and understanding. I could tell she truly cared about his emotional well-being. What stood out immediately was how quickly she understood both dogs’ completely different personalities. Frances is fearless, social, and playful, while Dexter is much more sensitive and cautious — and Mary connected with both of them so naturally. It was obvious they genuinely enjoyed their time with her and the other dogs. Her communication throughout the stay was exceptional. She sent frequent updates, photos, and videos every day, and seeing Frances and Dexter relaxed, playing, cuddling, and becoming more confident gave me so much reassurance while I was overseas. Most importantly, Mary helped build Dexter’s confidence during a stressful transition. Anyone who has experience with rescue dogs understands how important patience, calm energy, and emotional sensitivity are, and Mary absolutely has that gift. When I picked them up, they were excited to see me — but it was also obvious they had formed a real bond with Mary and their new friends. Honestly, that told me everything I needed to know. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Frances and Dexter were loved, safe, understood, and beautifully cared for from start to finish.

I cannot say enough good things about my dogs’ stay with Mary. From the meet and greet until we picked Ellie Mae and Piper up after a long weekend, Mary has been wonderful. It is obvious she is a “dog person”. My dogs were very comfortable around her. She sent pictures and updates throughout the weekend and took exceptional care of them - treating my two as one of her own. Her dogs, “the littles” 🥰are so sweet and my dogs interacted well with them. I could go on and on but bottom line is I would not hesitate to highly recommend Mary. We hope to go back again and again when we go out of town.
