Kaylee was very responsive to my messages and very accommodating of my request to schedule a meet and greet on short notice ahead of our booking. She interacted sweetly and patiently with my very excited pup. She showed up on time for the booking and followed all instructions given. I hope to be able to call on her for help again in the future!

About: I have a 12 year old goldendoodle named Taffy who I have raised since she was a puppy. I have walked dogs and house sat for friends and family since I was young and will always take the opportunity to spend time with animals of all kinds! I recently graduated from UMD and I am taking a summer class to finish up my double degree. Otherwise my schedule should be fairly open and I should have plenty of time to take care of your pets. I can follow any directions needed for caring for your fur babies. I can go for long walks to provide exercise, play (of course), cuddle, reinforce tricks/training, administer oral medicine, etc.. Just ask and I will probably be willing to accommodate any requests! I always make sure that your pet has access to fresh water and feed according to instructions.

About: Having the background of being raised on a farm has given me an innate love for animals. I have become a go to person for my friends and family in the city with not only dogs, but farm animals as well (cows, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits etc.). I have experience with injured and ill animals as well in care taking. I am able to follow dietary restrictions and diets in general as well. Pets, cuddles and walks are no problem of course! :) I currently work from home (Thurmont, M-F 8-5) so I am very flexible with me being in home for either a whole work day, half day or drop ins (if close by). I cannot board in home. I am able to follow the direction of your pets care. Food schedules/diets, crating, walks etc. I keep every pets area clean and tidy so they feel as comfortable as possible. I simply ask for communication ahead of time in expecations.

About: I’ve had many animals growing up (I lived on a farm!) and even now. I’m extremely passionate about all kinds of animals & living things. I have much experience with pets, as I am the sole owner of a cat and pit bull and have taken care of my dad's two lab/shepherds in the past. I am here to care for your animals as you would (or better, like the fun auntie :)) while you are away from them! I just left my corporate job and am taking a much needed break, so my schedule is very open and flexible, so I will make all the time for your animals at your request. I will walk + play with them to give them some attention while you're away :) I will accept your pet as a part of the family and ensure all their needs are met. At your house, I will play with them, give them some love and, of course, take the doggo's on long walks or around a park if available + they have extra energy.

About: First I just want it to be known that I am willing to work with clients on pay rates and negotiate to a rate that fits for both of us. The rates listed are not set in stone. I have cared for cats, small-large dogs in various breeds (Beagles, Pitbull's, Labs, Shelty's, and more) for several years now for close friends and family near the Frederick area. I also have experience with smaller animals like Guinea Pigs, Gerbils, Bunnies, Fish, Turtles, and Hermit Crabs. I myself have a 6 year old Beagle and have been taking care of her for the passed 5 years now. I am home from college for summer break and will be available most weeks days in the evenings and some weekends. Other than work and preparing for school events I will not have much on my plate, giving plenty of time to care for your pets. I care for my clients pets with upmost care and love while maintaining expectations of what the client needs or prefers for their pets. This may include taking your dogs for daily walks, playing with them, making sure they are fed, bathing them, cleaning up any potty accidents, and spending quality time with them to keep company while their owners are away. For cats this may include keeping their litter boxes clean, making sure they are fed of course, playing with them, and quality time as well. I rely on clients to give me information on their pets routines so the pets themselves aren't as confused with a new person taking care of them.

Ava was absolutely fantastic! She was reliable, professional, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. From the very beginning, she was communicative, punctual, and made me feel completely at ease knowing my dog was in such caring hands. She went above and beyond by making sure my dog got plenty of exercise and attention. I highly recommend Ava to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable dog walker. About: I've been taking care of my own animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends, and family started hiring me for pet care when I was still in high school. I love the stark difference in pet personalities and learning how each of them likes to be cared for. Examples of my past & present clientele: - A family with 7 chihuahuas of varying ages and levels of crazy - A brand new hyperactive Bernedoodle puppy whom I still care for regularly (she's 4 now!) - A sweet lab who liked long, slow walks and bananas - A moody cat who could not care less about me (I have slowly earned the blessing of giving head pats to them now) - A tortoise who inspires me to slow down and eat more greens *my home is a safe space for people and pets from all walks of life* I am currently working from home, so I have plenty of time to care for and play with your pet(s)! I love being and walking outside and having an animal companion to join me is always a pleasure. We have a large back porch and yard for sniffing around. If your pet requires extra exercise, we have a quiet neighborhood to walk around in. We have a dog bed in almost every room, space for you to bring a crate, or an area that can be closed off overnight if necessary or requested. There are few places in the house that the dogs don't have access to out of an abundance of safety. Otherwise, they are welcome to make themselves at home! If I care for an animal in your home, I will let you and your pet take the lead!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid, and I have experience with taking care of many different breeds, young and old. I love animals and will do everything I can to make yours comfortable and happy. Work is currently slow, so I have the time to give your pets all the attention they need. I am available anytime throughout the week and most weekends. I have two friendly dogs that would love to keep yours company. I do not have a fenced yard, but walk them on my private lane often, and take them to the dog park. My pets get fed twice a day, but I can feed yours as often as you’d like - they also have some treat throughout the day.

Matthew was extremely flexible and patient managing the needs of our Siberian Husky, Bristol. He showed experience and good instincts managing Bristol's challenging behavior. We asked him to take Bristol for 30 minute walks each day and Matthew went above & beyond that request to make sure Bristol got sufficient exercise. We enjoyed our time away even more knowing Bristol was in good hands! 10/10 would recommend and use again!

About: I have a strong love for animals, and have grown up with many different species my whole life. I currently have 3 cats, but I love dogs as well and hope to get one of my own someday. I have worked at multiple doggie daycare/boarding facilities and have worked at a veterinary hospital for over 4 years. My goal is to become a veterinarian someday so I can continue helping animals lifelong. I have been dogsitting and dogwalking for years but I would like to expand into having more customers around my area. I am a very responsible caretaker and do the tasks I am asked to do readily and on time. I also love to take pictures of pets so you will get lots while you’re away (if you elect so). I hope to meet you and your wonderful pets sometime soon! I graduated college over a year ago with a bachelor degree in biology and currently have some free time on my hands while continuing my education further online. I always check over the environment in which the animal is staying in beforehand to make sure there isn’t anything they could get their self into.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
