“Poncho kitty and I are very grateful to have found Linda through Rover! She is kind, dependable, and trustworthy. I can tell my (often sensitive) boy was very comfortable when she visited with him while we were away. Linda sent pictures and was easy to communicate with during the whole process. Thank you, Linda!”

“Jessica took great care of my cats. One of my cats needed a special soft food diet due to recent oral surgery and Jessica was very accommodating. She observed the cats carefully to make sure that they are healthy and sent daily updates with pictures which really gave me peace of mind when I was traveling.”

“Milena was attentive and communicative in taking care of our two cats! She is an animal lover and our boys were happy and healthy due to her home visits. We got lots of pictures and peace of mind knowing they were well looked after.”

“Jasmine has been wonderful. She does all the things that a Rover sitter is supposed to do. She loves my dog and two cats. She takes cute pics of them. She's on time. She's reliable. She's trustworthy.”

About: I have grown up with pets my whole life. We have always had 2 dogs, a cat and a chinchilla. I also grew up watching my neighbors and families pets as a teenager. I more recently within the last 2 years have started more seriously watching a family friends dogs. There is 3 of them of all different sizes so I have gotten used to dealing with many pets at once! My schedule is pretty flexible. I work part time and my shifts vary week by week but they are usually between 6-8 hours long, maybe 3 times a week. Currently I have class on Fridays from 8-3, but other than that am very open. I take a lot of classes online so I can make them work around other things. I don’t do pet care at my house but I am more than happy to come to yours and stay for however long you need. If you have a fenced in yard or are ok with your pet being taken out on a leash that would be preferred.
“Abby was absolutely wonderful! I needed someone on very short notice, and she was quick to respond and able to help without hesitation. She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire visit, sending updates and giving me peace of mind that my dogs were well cared for. It's clear she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after, and I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in her hands. I would highly recommend Abby to anyone looking for a reliable, responsive, and caring Rover dog walker. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with a passion for dogs, cats, and horses. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and kindness I give my own, making sure they feel safe and happy. My work schedule gives me the flexibility to care for pets Monday through Friday throughout the day and evening. I’m available for single or multiple drop-in visits along with walks to exercise your dog! I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, so I’m very comfortable caring for pets and keeping up with their daily routines and exercise needs. I will give your pets the same care, attention, and consistency as my own. I’m responsible, reliable, and will always treat your home with care and respect.
About: I have grown up with animals since I was a baby. I have had three dogs and two cats, and they have always been the joy of my life. Even from the age of 7, my job in the house was to take care of the pets. Walking the dogs, scooping the litter, feeding/hydrating them, etc. I was always in charge of my pets growing up because I love animals so much. I also have experience in dog sitting as well, as in high school I would do it as my job from Freshman year to Senior year. Overall, I have essentially grown up caring for animals, and as I am across the country from my pets at my parents house (in Maryland) I would love to provide that nurturing and love for someone else’s pets! I am working part time at the moment, and am in school, however my schedule is extremely flexible! I do not have many classes in college, as I am only finishing a few credits, and my job has cut my hours. Therefore, I am extremely available to provide services for your pet! Growing up with dogs and cats, I am extremely aware of how to take care of and nurture pets. In regards to taking care of your dog, I will foremost ensure that I provide them love and attention, making sure I play with them and give them the affection they need. In terms of walking them, I am easily able to keep up with them, as I am an athlete (and I also grew up bigger dogs, which is why I am very good with walking them). Along with that, I have a lot of energy and stamina, and will make sure they get a proper walk, and proper playtime. When it comes to their potty, I always make sure they get a proper walk in order to let that out, and along with that I always have bags to clean and dispose of it properly. I am extremely good at reading the body language of animals as well (as I grew up with dogs) therefore, I have an understanding of what they are feeling in a certain moment. I am the person at the gathering that sits in the corner with the dog, making sure they are not thirsty, anxious, scared, etc. Overall, I would say that I have a deep awareness for dogs. In terms of cats, I also have a very thorough understanding of them as well. I approach them differently than I do dogs. When it comes to kitty litter, my duty growing up was to clean it out. That allows me to know how and when to efficiently clean and switch it. I also understand that cats are very selective, so I would be extremely aware of their emotional/social attitude, and would allow them to approach me if they would wish to. In terms of playing with them, I know that they prefer certain toys and gadgets (and I would be more than happy to bring those with me when caring for someone’s cat). I also know the proper amount of food to provide a cat, and how much is good to feed a cat in terms of their size. I grew up with a very large cat, as well as a smaller cat, so I have an awareness of that. Overall, I would say that I am very cognizant of animals needs and, most importantly, I would be there to provide them a level of love that I wish I could provide for my childhood pets back home in Maryland.
“Karen is awesome! The dogs responded really well to her. It was a hot day but she made sure they got enough outside time and gave them lots of pets and treats inside. She sent me updates and made sure everything was done just right before heading out. I'd definitely book with Karen again.”
About: I have experience in caring from all types of animals from hermit crabs, lizards and fish to cats, dogs rabbits horses and everything in between lol. So I can also provide care for other pets not listed here. My 12 year old daughter and I love animals and have been rescuing and rehoming animals for years. We currently have a 7 year old golden retriever that we raised from 8 weeks old. And a 4 month old kitten we rescued and raised from 5 days old. I have completed with my dog puppy socialization and training courses. I have experience in Training, introductions, wound treatment, allergies, medication administration, exercise, pet message and bathing/grooming. I am currently a stay at home mother caring for and home schooling my 12 year old daughter so I have alot of availability and last minute availability. I have a big back unfenced in yard and screened in car port. Animals have full access to my house unless they have restrictions that would prevent that such as not allowed on furniture in clients home or eats things then they would for their safety be prevented from those areas. I am very respectful of others and following rules so if I would need to be in your home rest assured your home and fur baby would be in good hands.
About: Growing up, learning to take care of different kinds of animals was encouraged. From guinea pigs to horses, I have seen it all. Now living on my own, and having a dog and cat of my own, I know how important it is to have someone you can trust to take care of your animals. I have experience giving a wide variety of medication to both dogs and cats. I do my best to follow any schedule or instructions given by parents and to communicate as much as possible throughout the stay! I’m currently not working so I have plenty of time to care for your animals. I do have a dog and a cat of my own that I will need to stop to check in on during the day, but I do have someone who can stay with them during the night if you do need overnight sitting. I currently only offer pet sitting in the client’s home. I do my best to follow all rules and instructions given, I do prefer any specifics (feeding amounts, any medications, etc.) to be written down just so I can reference back if I need!
“Isabel did an excellent job with my German shepherds. My dogs felt comfortable around her, she was very attentive and communicative throughout each drop in visit. Would highly recommend her!”

“Candice was attentive, thorough and responsible. She obviously loves cats, and ours were well cared for. She spent a half hour daily with them and provided detailed daily reports and pictures showing how well they were doing. It was a relief to not have to worry about our cats when we were on vacation. I highly recommend her for pet care.”

“Kristen took great care of our cats while we traveled. She provided detailed daily updates and timely communication to let us know that the kitties are doing well. We returned to find our cats safe, happy, well-fed, and everything nice and tidy. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Abbie did a wonderful job looking after our two cats. She followed all of our instructions and somehow even got our one very shy cat to gladly interact with her. Definitely will be using again!”

“Good experience. The whole family did a good job looking after our dog while we were gone. Received regular photos and updates on our dog. Room was clean when we came back home.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
