I moved to Elizabethton just before Thanksgiving to be with my parents and I became the primary caregiver for my father, who has dementia. It’s a responsibility I’m proud to take on. Getting out of the house to walk, play with, and fall in love with your pets is exactly what I need to stay balanced. Since I manage my dad’s daily tasks, I have a very flexible schedule and the time to truly focus on your fur-babies. I’m looking for that 'pet therapy' a reason to get out and about just as much as your pets are looking for a loving caregiver. I’ll be there whenever you need me to even in short notice! Safety and trust are my top priorities. When I am in your home, I am respectful of your space and extremely vigilant about door safety and environment hazards. I am honest about my capabilities; I would never attempt a medical or care task if I wasn't 100% confident I could do it safely. My vehicle is also set up for safety, with plenty of room and when needed a leash that conect to their collar or harness then buckes to the backseat so your pets are secure while we are on the go.

About: Ever since my family got a collie as a pet when I was a kid, I have been in love with dogs. That has only enhanced as I’ve grown older and cared for my own. I am currently working remotely from home with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to care for and love on your pets. Prior to walking your pets or stopping by for feedings or playtime, I would like to meet you and your pets first, if possible. That way we can make sure we all feel comfortable! It will also give us a chance to talk through instructions and expectations. I know this isn't always feasible and that's ok.

About: I have grown up with all sizes and ages of dogs from an elderly black Lab to a baby Maltese Shitzu. I love all types of animals and have pet-sat for many people, including coworkers, neighbors, and roommates. I am a recent graduate of Appalachian State University living in Boone for the summer. Then moving to Greenville, NC in the Fall to attend East Carolina University for graduate school. I am available anytime! About: I have professional experience caring for dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments as a kennel care attendant. I'm also working towards my bachelor's degree in wildlife rehabilitation! I've owned all kinds of pets growing up from dogs and cats to mice, bunnies, birds, fish, and even a snake and a frog. I will treat your pets the same as my own, with respect and complete adoration. I'll even send you pictures of your pets during each visit for when you're missing your babies. I'm currently working towards a bachelor's of science degree, so I'll be pretty busy in the morning on weekdays (when in Banner elk, nc). My schedule usually calms down after 12pm, except Teusdays which are very busy. Please feel free to message me about what you're looking for and we can see if things will work out. I will not be able to stay at your house 24/7 due to my schedule. I will also have to go home for school breaks (winter/summer/spring). When I am at home (Newport News, VA), I will be available 24/7. Just message me and I'll let you know if my location has changed or will be changing before the date you need. But I will be doing my best to change my location on here in a timely manner. I'm a big advocate for playtime. I won't just stand around your house during the scheduled visits and let your dog be bored. We'll play with toys and run around and if you have a fenced in yard you can be sure I'll be out there throwing a tennis ball or playing tug of war with your pup until they're exhausted. I'll make sure our walks leave your dog well excersized and ready to nap for hours after we get home.

I was a dog trainer (now partially retired), owned my own pet sitting business for many years, fostered/adopted many rescues and I currently volunteer at and support several rescues. Animals are my heart and soul and I will treat your pets as if they were my own. I'm currently working part time and I will make myself available for your pet 24/7 whether it's late night potty trips outside or long walks during the day. I will care for your pets however you would like. I can do long walks, short walks, provide medications, specially prepared meals, play games, etc. I specialized in elderly dogs, hospice dogs and medical needs dogs when I fostered.

About: My family have always owned at least 4 dogs at a time and growing up it was our responsibility as kids to care for them. We would brush them, walk them, feed them, and bath them. I recently graduated with an MBA from East Tennessee State University and I’m working full time as a marketing manager for Ballad Health Medical Associates. I work 3 in days in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and work 2 days remotely Monday and Friday. My job is 2 minutes from my home so I would be able to check on your dog during lunch or check on them at your place. For this reason I don’t accept house sitting on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday that are more than 10 miles away. They will have my attention at all time. They might get tired of me wanting to play with them. I love being around dogs and will make sure your fury friend is well taken care of and happy

About: Im extremely reliable and confident. Been watching children, dogs, and a CNA for a long time. I enjoy all kind of pets and feel they deserve good attention and care. I’m a stay at home mom, I could use a little money and getting out as well. I think this would be great for me.
