“I had never used Rover and must admit that I was leary about it. Lia completely alleviated my concerns. After her very first report, I knew she could be trusted to provide excellent care for our two cats. She not only took care of the basics like feeding and cleaning the litter box, but also gave the cats lots of attention (petting, brushing, treats, etc.). I highly recommend her, and will request her again.”

“Katrina takes such good care of my cats! They all have such unique personalities and she has patience with all of them and I can tell she truly cares for them. I’m always so happy to have her check on them when I’m away.”

“Mystery was so helpful and the perfect person to use during the holidays. She was quick to respond and sent pictures daily. My two kitties trusted her so easily because she is just that good with animals. I will absolutely be using her again. Thank you!!”

“This was our second time booking with Catherine. She is amazing with our dogs. I know they are full of energy and can be a handful but they loved having her around. Catherine was punctual, attentive, and followed any extra instructions we had. Would definitely recommend her and plan to book with her anytime we need drop ins!”

“Jazmine did an amazing job with checking in with me. She spent time with my kitten who warmed up to her quickly. We know animals have a good sense of who’s a beautiful soul. She went above and beyond by sending me pictures of my baby. I didn’t have to worry once while being away. Thank you Jazmin!”

“Isaac and Veronica are amazing. Not only do they take excellent care of our cats, they are super flexible and very communicative. Always professional, very glad we booked with them again.”

“Jacqui was great! She is attentive, thoughtful, and kind. Also, my kitty is usually super stressed out when I get home from a king trip but she was fairly relaxed and settled down easily this time. Would definitely recommend!”

“Vanessa was a dream sitter! She responded quickly to my initial inquiry and communicated consistently with me. I especially appreciated that she was available during thanksgiving weekend! I truly enjoyed seeing the pictures and videos she sent of our pups during her daily drop-ins. Vanessa was kind, considerate, and compassionate, and that shined through in how our pups were so delighted to see her every day. We will be rebooking Vanessa for our future pet sitting needs. Thank you Vanessa!”

“Our boys were incredibly well cared for! The outgoing cat got lots of play and scritches, and the skittish cat felt comfortable enough to emerge, which is a big deal! Kristin is also an amazing pet photographer. She really captured the boys' weird essence.”

About: We have two Corgis of our own: Nala and Jorah. We are a dual military household and I was a medic for 10 years, so have some medical background. I would LOVE to be able to love on others peoples pet when they can’t and need a sitter. I understand having to be away from home is hard especially when leaving something you love dearly behind, even if just for a short time. My family and I are very adventurous and love being outdoors. I enjoy taking my dogs on runs/walks and love playing fetch and tug-o-war. During the week I work normal 9-5 hours but live close to work and can come home during lunch to play and let the fur babies use the bathroom. I can do drop ins but they would have to be before and after I get off work. I also do house sitting but if it is far from my own home and I need to stay overnight, I might need to bring my two dogs with me if my family is not home to care for them. I only board one dog at a time so you can ensure your animal will not have to share my love or attention with any other dogs boarding. I have a fenced yard and two playful corgis. They can be kenneled if separation is needed but will follow suit with if our visitor can free roam or if they require kenneling. It will strictly be me caring for the animals. My boyfriend and the kids do enjoy cuddles though.
“Leah did a good job watching over my cats! It started off a little rocky with some miscommunication, but once things were clarified, her services were great! She made sure their bowls were clean, she gave them all the lovings, and she even cleaned up a bit of throw up. Would definitely recommend and will be using her again!☺️”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in El Paso. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
