About: ⭐️Description⭐️ I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments; anxious dogs, seniors, puppies, and pets that needed medication. I’ve pet sat German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Border Collie puppies, a Welsh Corgi, a Poodle, and many mixed breeds. I also have experience with cats and kittens. I’m comfortable handling dogs that need extra care. My own dog, Molly (a Lhasa Apso), had epilepsy, so I’m experienced with seizures, medication schedules, and staying calm during emergencies. I’ve also worked through behavioral challenges. One of my Chihuahuas was a rescue with aggression issues, and through patience and consistency, she became calm and affectionate. My goal is always to make sure every pet feels safe, understood, and cared for while you’re away. —————————————— 🌟🐕 Services 🐈🌟 —————————————— 🚪 Drop-ins 🚪 I’ll follow your instructions carefully, make sure your pet is fed, drinking water, comfortable, and of course spending time with them so they don't feel alone. 🦮 Walks 🦮 Walks will follow your preferred route, distance, and pace to match your dog's need for whatever you see as sufficient. 🏠 House Sitting 🏠 I'll respect your home and your pet's routine. I can study during downtime and stay present with your pet to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for overnight. 📸 Updates 📸 You can always expect updates, photos, videos, and messages. I'm also happy to clarify anything or adjust care instructions as needed! 🕒 Availability 🕒 I'm an aviation student currently doing online ground school, so I have a very flexible schedule and I'm available most days of the week. If I'm ever unavailable, l'll let you know in advance. I’d ask if your pet has any sensitivities (boundaries that might cause aggression if overstepped), if there’s any specific routines your pet needs that aren’t specified, or behaviors I should need to know about ahead of time.

She took great care of my cat Milo while I was away. Milo already has an automatic feeder and a robot litter box, but she still went above and beyond by adding litter to the robot, emptying the waste drawer, and even picking up a few things Milo could have gotten into. Milo was definitely missing me while I was gone, and it meant a lot knowing someone was there giving him attention, pets, and treats so he didn’t feel so alone. After a previous sitter had failed me, I was really stressed about leaving him, but she gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I truly appreciated the care she gave Milo and the extra effort she put into making sure everything was taken care of.

About: I have been around dogs and cats my entire life and have always had pets in my home since I was a child. I truly love all animals and feel very comfortable caring for pets of different sizes, ages, and personalities. ❤️ I currently have my own dog, so I understand daily routines, responsibility, and how important it is for pets to feel safe, happy, and loved. I started dog sitting for family members around age 15, caring for pets of all sizes and temperaments, including feeding, walking, playtime, and overnight stays. This gave me hands on experience maintaining routines and understanding different pet personalities. I am also comfortable administering basic medications such as oral pills and topical treatments, always following owner instructions carefully. I treat every pet like my own and focus on creating a calm, loving, and safe environment. I’m reliable, attentive, and provide regular updates and photos so pet parents feel at ease. 🐶🐱🫶🏻 I have open availability during the week and during the weekend. My schedule is open when you need someone to care for your pets while you’re away. 🩷 A typical day in my care is calm, relaxed, and focused on making pets feel comfortable and loved. I enjoy spending time with them throughout the day, whether that’s relaxing together, watching TV, or simply keeping them company so they don’t feel alone. 🥹 I make sure to follow their normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks. I also take time for enrichment and exercise, whether that’s playing outside, going for walks, or engaging them with toys. For pets who enjoy it, I also offer plenty of affection and cuddles, while always respecting their boundaries and letting them set the pace. My goal is to create a safe, low stress environment where they feel happy, secure, and cared for. ❤️

Jazmine did an amazing job with checking in with me. She spent time with my kitten who warmed up to her quickly. We know animals have a good sense of who’s a beautiful soul. She went above and beyond by sending me pictures of my baby. I didn’t have to worry once while being away. Thank you Jazmin!

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 5 years old and have owned more than three dogs throughout my life. I also have hands on experience from completing over 50 hours of volunteer work at El Paso Humane Society, where I helped groom, feed, and care for dogs while preparing them for adoption. I’m comfortable around dogs of different personalities and understand the importance of patience, and making them feel safe and loved. I am currently working part time on the weekends and I am attending UTEP as a sophomore. In weekends I would be available early mornings and weekdays would be early mornings along with afternoons. I have a big backyard for my dog to run around and get exercise and refill his water twice a day to keep up with him. At a client’s homes I will follow their instructions strictly. With my own dogs I give them all the walks they need to get exercise and have a fun day. I would treat a client’s dogs as my own.

About: I’ve had the privilege of growing up with loving cats and dogs throughout my life, and I’m very grateful for that experience. Additionally, I have hands-on experience caring for my own pets and family members’ pets. I’ve cared for both cats and dogs, including giving medication when needed and safely handling situations such as breaking up fights between them. About: Hi, I’m Desiree! I’m 29 years old, and my love for animals has been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember. Caring for animals comes naturally to me, and throughout my life I’ve opened my heart and home to many pets in need. I had the privilege of fostering animals for two years, caring for pets from different backgrounds and with different personalities. While I eventually stepped away from fostering because saying goodbye became so difficult, my passion for helping animals never faded. That’s what inspired me to become a Rover sitter. I’m also the proud dog mom of three amazing dogs of all sizes, so I understand that every pet has their own unique personality, routine, and needs. When your pet is in my care, they’ll be treated like family—with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own dogs. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive, personalized care throughout the day. I offer weekday, evening, and weekend availability with advance notice. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my highest priority. I carefully follow your instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and any special care your pet may need. I provide a clean, secure environment, constant supervision, and plenty of affection to help your pet feel at ease. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone else, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My goal is to give you peace of mind by providing reliable, compassionate care and keeping you updated with photos and messages throughout your pet’s stay. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member and give them a fun, safe, and loving home away from home! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day. I can accommodate weekday, evening, and weekend bookings with advance notice. I make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, potty breaks, playtime, and affection while they’re in my care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and any special needs. I maintain a clean, safe environment, provide constant supervision, and make sure pets feel relaxed and loved. I also have experience caring for my own dogs and understand the importance of patience and positive interactions.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 311 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Vinton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Vinton. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
