“Amazing! She took in my fur baby last minute and took good care of him! He was excited to see her again on day too and he came back super tired from so much play time! I would def book again!”

“Katrina is a Class A sitter. She is totally dedicated to caring for your dog and meeting their specific needs. She cared for my small Maltipoo (Lumi) very well and her German Shepherd (Uma) was gentle and kind to Lumi. Katrina was very open to changes in my drop-off and pick-up times. That is very much appreciated. You won't be disappointed with her services.”

“Vanessa is so nice and sweet to my fur baby! I feel like she man him feel at home. When I went to go pick him up he didn’t want to leave at all lol. She send me videos of him running around her backyard and he looked the happiest! 10 out of 10 I will 100 percent let Vanessa watch him again!”

“Mirna has been watching our dog for months now. All I can say is great things! Daisy is full of energy and needs constant attention. By the time I get her she’s ready for bed and snuggles. She is a life saver my work schedule is so demanding. Daisy gets to play with other dogs and be with people while I’m a work. Best decision I ever made!”

“I'm so grateful that she accepted a last-minute request and didn't mind an early drop-off. I was staying in downtown EP, and her location was really convenient, both to my hotel and to other parts of central El Paso. Really happy with my boys' daycare!”

“Ilyana was once again a life saver. We had someone cancel on us last minute and it was our wedding day. So I was scrambling to find a solution and Ilyana was more than willing to help. We are so grateful and appreciative of Ilyana taking great care of Zoe!”

“Leo and Clarie are literally life savers! They are the sweetest and most gentle spirited people ever! We had last minute change in plans that required us to travel to El Paso from Rosewell and they were willing to take in our 5 month German Shepherd with less than 24hr notice. Sasha had a great time playing and they understood how puppies can be puppies . I would definitely recommend their services to anyone !”

“Erick took great care of Wes. We book as a last minute and he was very nice with us. We will definitely book with Erick next time we are in town. Thank you!!”

“My dogs had such a blast, once we got home they knocked out. They loved running around and being crazy dogs. I love that Kris was with them the entire time to play and keep them company. I would highly recommend her for a sitter, and when needed we will use her sitting services again”

About: I have taken care of stray cats and dogs since I was young since I wasn't allowed to have pets of my own. Then later when I got older, I had hamsters, bunnies, dogs, and cats and I learned how to take care of them properly. I have saved cats from tough situations and given them a chance to live a good life since I believe that all animals deserve to be loved and cared for. I am a very patient, caring, and loving person I love to be around animals. I have some very basic veterinary experience and I am always happy to help animals and give them the care they need. I have experience as a veterinary assistant and I am working towards a degree in animal science at Nmsu. My main goal is to be a veterinarian because I love animals and want to help them in any way possible. I have open availability, therefore I can take care of your pets anytime (Monday - Sunday) that is needed through the hours of 6 am - 7 pm! In my home: I meticulously pet-proof the surroundings, removing any potential hazards and ensuring secure enclosures. In the client's home: I conduct a thorough inspection to identify and address any safety concerns, such as securing loose wires or toxic substances. In my home: I create a welcoming atmosphere where pets feel comfortable and secure, offering plenty of affection and attention. In the client's home: I spend time getting acquainted with the pets, following their routines, and respecting their boundaries to build trust gradually. In my home: I provide cozy resting areas, engaging toys, and regular exercise to keep pets happy and entertained. In the client's home: I strive to replicate the familiar surroundings and routines to minimize stress for the pets, maintaining consistency in feeding, playtime, and exercise.
About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I’m very comfortable around them and I find them to be very comfortable around me. From gentle giants to the tiniest little yappers, I’ve loved and cared for them all and never met a dog I disliked. I’m not a professional trainer but I’ve learned enough competencies in dog training techniques throughout my life to confidently be able to put them into practice with my own animals so my home feels as safe and stress-free as possible in my day to day life and routines. I plan to do this as full time as I can. Figured I’d jump all-in into something that will provide an income for something fulfilling that I already enthusiastically do every day with my own four furry flatmates. So I’m available almost any time, day or night with few exceptions. I have a fenced yard, and two large, oafish boys (Morty & Melvin) that love to play in the back yard and sleep splayed-out, belly-up on the couch. It’s a chill environment here. I also have two, very lazy indoor cats who’s favorite toys include pipe cleaners and every loaf of bread I bring home for myself. Jones thinks he’s a dog, and as a result, pretty much tries to get along with everybody, especially human visitors. Luna is reclusive, but non-confrontational. I feed them twice a day in appropriately-measured amounts, and always have clean water available as well as treats and toys. I’m also a retired professional chef and sometimes use those skills to make homemade pet food for some much anticipated variety in my fur family’s diets. We also don’t mind sharing!
“We couldn't have encountered a more caring sitter than Michellle N. Being new to Rover, all future Rover sitters will necessarily be judged by her outstanding customer-centered ethic. We were very impressed with the persistent contact she maintained with us throughout Jefe's stay, and we so appreciated the numerous pics she sent us which made it clear Jefe was under the care of a most competent and compassionate Rover sitter. Thank you Michelle! And rest assured that we will be calling on you again when next we visit the El Paso are. :)”

“I love having Alyssa as a sitter. She has watched my personal dogs and many of my fosters. She is so kind and reliable. She’s so flexible and has even accepted some of my last minute requests. I’m going to definitely keep booking her in the future. My dogs always come home tired and well taken care of.”

“Bella had an amazing time! She is worn out from her walks and play. Kathryn is amazing, really cares about the pups she keeps and keeps you updated throughout the day with plenty photos and videos 🥹. 10/10 would definitely recommend.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NM ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
