“I'm so happy we found Maria! t's nice to know we can leave our pet with someone trustworthy and respectful. Maria took amazing care of our pup the 6 days we were away. The communication, pictures, and videos were constant and appreciated. I had several needs/requirements and Maria fulfilled them all without hesitation. We were able to relax knowing she was taking such great care of him. Maria is my new #1 sitter! 🤩”

“Couldnt be happier with Grace. She was a great communicator, always sending pictures and updates. I felt super comfortable with her taking care of my pup throughout my whole trip. I’ll definitely be coming back to her for future pup needs!”

About: I grew up on a small farm and learned at a young age the responsibilities of having animals. Care goes beyond food and water. They are in constant need of love and affection just as we need. I will give your pet the same attention I give my chihuahua Nacho and my cat Toby. I’m retired so I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable visits, walks and plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m available morning, afternoon, evening and weekends. While caring for them in your home I focus on keeping them safe, comfortable and following their normal routine to keep a stress free environment while you’re away.
About: What makes me different from other pet sitters is the genuine care, patience, and one on one attention I give to every pet. I take time to learn each animal’s routine, personality, and individual needs so they feel comfortable, secure, and stress-free in my care. I keep you connected with regular updates, photos, and videos, so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. Whether your pet needs structure, extra play, calm support, or medication, I provide dependable, personalized care that feels just like home. I do have a set daily schedule, so I’m only available from 12:00 PM at noon to 9:00 PM evening. (I may be able to accommodate times slightly outside of those hours depending on the day, so feel free to ask about availability in advance.) During those hours, I can provide pets with the attention, care, and companionship they require, ensuring their safety and well-being while you are away.) During those hours, I can give pets the attention, care, and companionship they need, ensuring they feel safe and well looked after while you’re away. When caring for pets in my clients’ homes, I focus on maintaining their usual routine so they feel comfortable and at ease in their familiar environment. I follow all feeding schedules, provide fresh water, handle litter care or outdoor breaks, and spend quality time playing, offering comfort, or simply keeping them company. I treat every home with respect, keeping things clean and tidy, and I provide regular updates so you can feel confident knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
About: I'm an animal lover through and through! I pay close attention to behavior and body language, so I can catch what a pet's really telling me, whether that's stress, excitement, or just wanting some space. I love getting creative with enrichment too: calming music, puzzle-style treats, or whatever helps a pet feel most at ease. Every animal is different, and I take the time to learn what makes each one comfortable. My challenge is to be best friends by the end of the visit! I work a hybrid, mostly remote job, meaning your pet gets real company, not just quick check-ins. I'm flexible with routines and happy to work around walk times, feeding schedules, or whatever keeps their day feeling normal while you're away. (One note: I'll need WiFi access to work while I'm there.) I treat your home like I'd want mine treated; respecting boundaries, keeping things secure, and sticking closely to your pet's routine to keep their stress low. Happy to grab your mail, take out the trash, or handle any small tasks that keep your home running smoothly while you're away. I'm attentive to behavior changes and won't hesitate to reach out if something seems off. Your pet's safety and comfort come first, always.
“Bro is fantastic and my dogs are so comfortable with her. It takes them a lot to warm up but we’ve had her house sit several times and they and I know things will be well-taken care of when she does.”

“Meredith is amazing with my pets. My boston terrier Echo had such a good time with her the week I was gone. My cat M was well cared for. I came home to two happy healthy animals. Meredith had an emergency while watching my pets, she still honored our agreement to watch them for the week. Most other people would have left me in a bad situation but not Meredith. I highly recommend her for all your needs.”

“Emma was fantastic! She is a very sweet girl and watched our 15 year old dog for several days while we were out of town. She was very good at communicating and sending pictures randomly as well. I highly recommend her to care for your fur babies.”

“Dru was such a great home and pet sitter! She was very communicative, kind, knowledgeable, and she was very patient with my highly anxious, noisy, husky/shepherd mix. Her and her partner were respectful of my space and left it in great shape for me to come home to after a long travel day. Dru is everything I look for in a kind, responsible, communicative, trustworthy person to trust my home and babies with, while I'm away. I'm grateful for the peace of mind she provided me with, by knowing my babies and home were in good hands, while I was away. I will absolutely have her sit for me again!! Thanks Dru!”

“Ulrica is very kind and really cares about our furry friends. She has attention to detail and she is very professional. This was our second time with her. Thank you for taking good care of my double trouble, Maggie & Koko! 🐶😊”

About: I’ve had years of experience with taking care of pets, including my own. I’ve also house and pet sit for my neighbors at times since I was in high school and I love to take care and make animals happy! I’ve also had experience with taking care of a senior dog last year for a family member’s parents. I’m currently doing contract work at Life.Church especially on the weekends, local musician, and will be quitting another job soon. My availability is open anytime Monday-Saturday, I can also do a drop in visit for your pet even on days where I’m busy at church! Just work out a time and let me know when you need and we’ll work out a time that fits both of us and your pet! :) I have a Guinea pig that I take care of everyday, and 2 small dogs that my mom owns, and a bird. I am looking for drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting for you type jobs and not boarding visits.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Edmond
This was at least the third time Emma has watched our furry family member and home. She is always meticulous in her care of both, following every detail of our instructions and leaving everything exactly as she found it. Well actually, I think Snoop is even happier because of all the extra attention he gets from someone who is clearly a devoted dog lover! I would not hesitate to recommend her or to invite her again the next time we will be away.

Reese is outstanding! I highly recommend her. This was my first time using Rover and had an amazing experience thanks to her. The pups had an instant connection with Reese. It is a great relief knowing you have someone so passionate and dedicated to making sure your fur babies are in great hands and safe. Reese made it a priority to send updates throughout the day and communicate effectively giving you a greater sense of peace. I look forward to having her watch my fur babies in the future. Thank you Reese!!! 🙌🏼🫶🏼🐾🦴🦮🐼

Meredith is amazing with my pets. We had such a wonderful experience with Maddie while we were away over spring break! She stayed at our home and took amazing care of our dog, Cheeto, and our cat, Tuna. She was incredibly responsive, thorough, and genuinely kind—such a lovely person to work with. She walked Cheeto twice a day, which he absolutely loved, and she regularly sent us pictures and updates that made being away so much easier. It was clear our pets were happy and well cared for the entire time. She also went above and beyond by taking our trash cans out on trash day, which was such a thoughtful touch. We came home to happy pets and a well-cared-for home. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter!

Emma was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs! She followed all instructions, made sure both of them got their medicine, and took them on regular walks. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. She even brought in our mail and took the trash to the street without being asked. We truly appreciated the extra care and thoughtfulness. We will definitely be using her again!
This is our first time having Jill watch our senior dog and she exceeded our expectations. She was punctual throughout the multiple days and followed all the instructions we had for her. She’s a genuine animal lover and the interaction she had with our dog showed it. We definitely trusted her with our house and our fur baby and she comes highly recommended as a responsible and caring person. Thank you so much!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Edmond walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Edmond maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Edmond choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
