About: I grew up with dogs my whole life (Rottweilers, Standard Poodles, and Shih Tzu). I have cared for my bunny rabbit for 10 years and my senior shih tzu for 3. I love animals and treat them kindly and respectfully. Your pet will be safe and happy with me! I am available on Saturday afternoons to Sunday (available all day Sundays!) for overnight boarding. I am available before 8:00 AM, from 12:00 PM - 1:00, and after 5:00 PM during the week for a walk or visit. I live in a two bedroom, non-smoking apartment. The apartment complex is dog friendly. There is a fenced dog park and large yard for walks. My 10 year old shih tzu uses steps to get on the couch so those are available as well.
“Colleen is awesome. She is very communicative, flexible, professional, and goes above and beyond in making sure my Ellie girl gets the exercise/socializing/enrichment/love she needs while I’m at the office!”

“Thank you, Gavin. French Fry gave you two paws up. He's very responsible, very reliable, and very attuned to my dog's needs. It will definitely use him again, and I have actually recommended him to my mom for her dogYou will definitely use him again and I actually have recommended him to my mom for her dog.”

“Mary is such a wonderful person and an absolute godsend as a dogwalker for my mother and Coco. She was always on time, in great spirits and took such good care of our dog. We would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a caring and reliable dogwalker!”

“100% recommend! Joseph was my first Rover experience, and couldn’t ask for a better walker! Thorough communication throughout the entire process and was patient and understanding with my dog who was still shaky around new people. He took his time and gained her trust. Can’t wait to hire Joseph again!”

“Lashae was the best Rover experience we have had. She was amazing with our dogs and our neighbors (who had tons of positive comments). The best part of working with Lashae was the improvement in our dogs’ health! They have more energy and walk farther!! Lashae is the best! Can’t wait to work with her again!”

About: What sets me apart is the calm, safe, and loving environment I provide for every pet I care for. Animals naturally tend to feel comfortable around me, and I take pride in building trust with them through patience, attention, and affection. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, from playful kittens and puppies to senior pets who may need extra patience and gentle care. I pay close attention to each pet’s unique personality, energy level, and needs so they feel secure, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I truly enjoy spending quality time with animals, whether that’s active playtime, relaxing cuddles, or simply keeping them company and making them feel loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home as an online tutor. My flexible schedule allows me to give pets attention before, after, and in between tutoring sessions throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means relaxing indoors with cuddles and companionship or getting outside for walks, playtime, fresh air, and exercise. Caring for pets is something I truly enjoy, and I love making sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities when caring for pets in both my home and a client’s home. I make sure pets are always supervised, secure, and in a calm environment where they can feel safe and relaxed. When outdoors, I stay very aware of our surroundings and communicate carefully with others before allowing any interactions with people or other animals. I always prioritize safe walks, playtime, and exercise. Indoors, I make sure the environment is clean and pet-safe by keeping anything potentially harmful out of reach. I also pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and body language to ensure they are comfortable, happy, and enjoying their time with me. My goal is to provide loving, attentive care so pets feel safe, cared for, and at home while their owners are away.
“Today was my dog’s first solo walk with Shanisa and I couldn’t be happier! Shanisa and I worked extensively with my dog to get him comfortable with her because he is usually very wary of strangers. He warmed up to Shanisa quickly and was comfortable with her in our home just by themselves. I now have more freedom and less worry knowing my dog will be safe and cared for when I cannot be home.”

“Jordan is amazing! She walks our puppy Reese while we are at work a couple times a week. She responds quickly and gives us great updates. Reese loves seeing her walk through the door! I would highly recommended her and we will continue to use her 🥰🥰 thank you for everything you do for us! It means the world!!”

About: I grew up with dogs from a young age and fell in love with taking care of them. As I got older and went to school, I was always happy to help friends and neighbors to look after their pets as well. Now, I’m happy to say that I’ve been a dog walker and pet mom for three years! I currently work full-time, but my schedule is variable and I’m more than happy to work pet care into my schedule. Whether it’s a walk or drop-in, I can usually find time to help! In your home, your pets know what’s best and most comfortable. I do my best to work with them and adjust to their needs accordingly based on what’s available and familiar to them in your space.

About: I’ve had dogs in my household since I was 5, meaning I’m skilled in taking care of dogs and am ready for anything they might need. I’ve dogs at for multiple neighbors of the years, and many of those dogs have been old dogs with specific instructions to keep them healthy. I’ve done multiple weeks of overnight care for dogs as well as simple daycare or dog walks for people that need help. I’m currently studying to become a vet and I would love to have the chance to get to know your furry companion! I am open to help out any day of the week as needed. I have a part-time job with schedule hours that change each week, but none of those hours include nighttime’s. I am willing to take your pet even last minute if I am capable. In my home, I make sure to let the dog out first thing in the morning and right before bed to allow them to use the bathroom as needed. In my household I take my dog for a walk around 9 every morning and 5 every night, then feeding him at 6pm. Other food given to him includes a treat in the morning and a couple in the afternoon that I put in his bowl. In between those times, I will spend time with my dog either sitting on the couch together watching tv or playing games.
“Colleen has been great with my dog! She's very communicative, flexible, and has braved the cold weather/snow to make sure my dog still gets good movement in. I highly recommend her.”

About: Working as a nurse, I know how important it is for all humans and animals to have their time to live their best lives; getting a workout in, using the bathroom, and making sure they’re eating! I take care of animals just like I do my patients :) On my days off, I love to stay active and be outdoors as much as I can. Having a furry friend makes it all the more enjoyable. I am trustworthy and transparent when taking care of pets. I treat them like my own while following whatever guidelines you give me in your home!
“Nick is fantastic! I have a 9 week old puppy and this has been my first experience with a dog walker. Nick has made it so easy and pleasant! He is reliable, flexible with times he can visit, and sends updates/pictures after walks. Overall, highly recommend him!”
“Jordana is one of the best! She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable as we left our Stella for the weekend. She sent photos and videos. Kept in contact with me throughout her walks. 100% recommend and I can’t wait to book her again in the future.”

About: Hi I’m Jess! I’ve previously worked for petsmart and have owned pets all of my life! I’ve got experience as a bird owner for over 30 years with multiple types of birds and other animals such as dogs, cats, and handling small critters at Petsmart. I have volunteer experience with rescue dogs at a rescue in Pa in my twenties, volunteered at Tri State Bird Rescue, and Forgotten Cats for many years. I have been a sitter for dogs of all sizes including a coon hound, pit mix, corgi, and a golden doodle. I’ve even made homemade dog food when necessary! I have also been a sitter for cats! I’m willing to get my hands dirty and am used to cleaning up for and bathing dogs in my home as well! I love the outdoors and walking dogs, so your dog will get plenty of outside time. There is a state park close to my home that I frequent. If you have other animals in your home like Guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, lizards, etc I can care for them too with my knowledge from working at Petsmart. Helping me will be my significant other who currently works for petsmart also. I’m an animal lover at heart and will take great care of your pet as if it were my own! I’m home 24/7 to care for your pet, with a very flexible open schedule. I have nothing but lots of time to devote to your pet. I have a safe apartment complex with other leashed dogs that are all friendly surrounding me. My home is smoke free and we don’t use aerosols or candles due to owning birds. Our birds are kept separate from your animals and your pet will be supervised and played with and let out for potty breaks and walks every hour or two.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Edgemoor
Drew has been a wonderful caregiver for Lilly. He is incredibly gentle, patient, and caring, and she absolutely loves him. He has been helping care for her since the day she came home to me, and I have always trusted him completely with her well-being. Drew also helped care for my previous dog, Addison, who has since passed away, and he showed the same compassion, kindness, and dedication with her. It’s clear that he genuinely loves animals and treats them as if they were his own. He is reliable, responsible, and attentive, and I always have peace of mind knowing Lilly is in his care. I would recommend Drew to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter or dog walker.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
