“Sonja and Adam are SO great with Beau! He’s a regular twice a week and is always happy and excited to be at daycare. I appreciate their flexibility and responsiveness, and they’re always willing to find a solution to any hiccups along the way. I also love all the photos of frisbee and playtime in the yard. Beau has made a lot of new friends!!”

“Bagel loved her time at Carine’s home. She had so much fun with the kids and other pups staying with them and slept good at home afterward. We got lots of pics which is so fun! Thanks for taking such great care of bagel!!!”

About: I grew up on a farm, so animals have always been a big part of my life. My family has had dogs for most of my life, and although we’re currently between dogs after losing our two longtime companions, we love having new four-legged friends in the house! My 14-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter are fantastic with dogs and happily help make sure every guest gets plenty of playtime, attention, and cuddles, if they’re into that sort of thing! I work remote and am home most weekends if not home I am at kids sports. I enjoy walking dogs and whole family likes playing with and caring for your dog or dogs. Family of 4 that loves dogs and have had dogs but are in between dogs after ours passed. Good size home and yard. Also have great enclosed neighborhood to walk in.
“Trish is wonderful with my diva senior dog. She spends time with her petting her on the floor and makes sure she is out to potty often enough with an old bladder. Trish is the best!”
“Kara is absolutely amazing! Not only is she top notch! Her family is out of this world as well! I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful place for Leo to spend his days while I am at work.”

About: Growing up on a farm, I have a love for all animals and take great joy in their genuine excitement for the world around them. We've owned dogs and cared for friend's and neighbor's pets for years. Having a fenced in backyard allows us to give more exercise opportunities your pet and give them a bit more freedom while they are here. My husband and I both work from home and our 16 year old son loves to snuggle and play with pets of all kind! This gives us flexibility and options for ensuring your fur-baby receives plenty of attention and on-demand potty breaks. We typically go on 2 walks a day, and like to make time for playing in the yard. We have a large backyard perfect for playing! Overall, our family tries to lead an active lifestyle, and also really enjoy snuggling up. We have a pretty large, open floor plan on the main level, so if you have a pet who struggles with stairs, that won't be an issue here.
“Kristen and her family welcomed Oreo as if he was their own dog. I felt confident that he was getting all the attention he needed. He got some love and exercise and a much welcomed break from his new little fur brother for the day. He is a fast eater, so still eats a lunch and that wasn't an issue at all for them. I know he would be happy to go back for a visit and some playtime with the kids anytime. Thanks for taking such great care of our big boy!”

“Philip was an amazing sitter for our dog. He was so kind and knowledgeable and spent so much quality time with our dog making sure he got plenty of exercise and attention. He has a great house and great fenced in yard. We will definitely be using Philip in the future.”

About: What sets me apart is my professional background as a Medical Assistant combined with my lifelong love for animals. Growing up alongside our family dog, Topacio, who has been with us for over 10 years, I have developed a deep understanding and gentle touch for senior dog care—knowing exactly how to keep older pets comfortable, safe, and happy. My medical training gives me an extra layer of responsibility, attention to detail, and a calm demeanor when looking after pets. I am well-versed in caring for dogs of all sizes and ages from friends and family, and I focus on providing a structured, loving home environment. I treat every furry guest with the same dedication and affection as if they were my own! Pet care fits perfectly into my routine because I have a flexible hybrid schedule, working some days from home doing patient video consultations and other days from the office. On my work-from-home days, I am there to provide constant companionship and potty breaks throughout the day. For the days I am at the office, my schedule is highly predictable and structured, making it ideal for pets that are comfortable with a standard workday routine. No matter my schedule for the day, my evenings and weekends are completely free and dedicated 100% to long walks, fun playtime, and plenty of love! Safety and comfort are my top priorities. Since I host pets in my home, I ensure a secure, escape-proof, and pet-friendly environment where your furry family member can feel completely relaxed. Here is how I guarantee a safe stay: Structured Supervision: Thanks to my flexible hybrid schedule, I am home several days a week, and even on my office days, my routine is highly predictable. I closely monitor all interactions, ensuring feeding and playtimes are always safe and managed. Introduction & Meet-and-Greets: I always schedule a meet-and-greet beforehand. This ensures your pet feels comfortable in my home and is a great match for our sweet senior dog, Topacio. Tailored Routines & Care: With my background as a Medical Assistant, I am extremely detail-oriented. I strictly follow your specific instructions regarding feeding schedules, exercise, and any special medication requirements to keep their days consistent. Daily Updates: I love sending frequent photos and updates so you can have total peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving lots of love.

About: **We stay pretty busy with our current dog families, so we may not be available to take your dog. Our first priority is the current families we work with.** **Our speciality is dogs 30 pounds and under. Please consider other Rover sitters for medium size dogs before you request care from us.** We've been watching dogs through Rover for almost 2 years now. We have many families that we watch their dogs frequently. Their dogs are excited to come back to our home, and we treat their dogs like family. They receive lots of love, attention, and care. We love our current Rover dogs and families. They are precious to us. Prior to Rover, we took care of our friends' pets as well as traveled to pet-sit in various US locations for about 8 years. My responsible teen & tween children love all animals. Just don't ask us to watch your pet centipede or ostrich!! We will take your dog on walks and give it lots of belly scratches and snuggles. If your dog likes to sleep on a bed, my middle daughter would welcome it to her full size bed. She's the one your dog is sure to bond to as she has a natural way with dogs. We are a homeschooling family, so we are home a lot (when we aren't traveling ourselves). We enjoy being outside and would welcome your dog to join us on walks and hikes. If your dog likes to go for drives, we can do that too. We have a large yard, but it is not fenced in. Our neighborhood has lots of sidewalks, so we go for both short and long walks. My kids are gentle with pets and like to treat them like royalty.
About: Home full-time and just steps from miles of walking trails, your dog will enjoy plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship throughout the day. We currently have Loki, our friendly 5-year-old Golden Retriever, who loves other dogs, playing outside, and spending time with our two boys. Our boys absolutely love dogs and are gentle, affectionate, and excited to help make visiting dogs feel like part of the family. Boarding with us means your dog will be welcomed into a real home — not treated like just another booking. We only board one dog at a time, which allows us to give your dog plenty of attention, keep the environment calm, and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. We do not have a fenced yard, but we have a large, wooded yard (.6 acres) where dogs can safely enjoy time outside on a lead. We also live right by a regional walking/biking trail, so frequent walks and outdoor time are easy and part of our routine. I am comfortable caring for all dogs, including senior dogs, rescue dogs, dogs with separation anxiety, and dogs who need a little extra patience or reassurance. I have experience giving medications, crate training, leash walking, basic obedience, and helping dogs settle into a new environment. I am active and outdoorsy, so dogs who enjoy walks, playtime, and being part of family life will fit in well here. For everyone’s safety and comfort, visiting dogs must be potty trained, kid-friendly, and non-aggressive. They do not need to be crate trained. We are not currently accepting puppies. Our goal is simple: to give your dog a safe, loving, active place to stay where they get the kind of care we would want for our own dog. My husband and I both work from home on alternating schedules, so caring for dogs are part of our normal daily rhythm. We are available throughout the day for potty breaks, attention, feeding, walks, and check-ins. We live right on a regional trail, which makes daily walks easy, and we also spend time outside in our large yard with dogs safely on a lead. Pet care naturally fits into our family routine — walks, playtime, downtime, and lots of love. Your dog can expect a warm, active family home with plenty of attention, outdoor time, and affection. Because we only board one guest dog at a time, your dog will get personalized care, a calm environment, and lots of time with our friendly Golden Retriever, Loki. We want dogs to feel comfortable, safe, and included while you are away. We have a large yard, but it is not fenced, so visiting dogs are always kept safe on a lead when outside. Our home includes two dog-loving boys and our friendly Golden, so visiting dogs should be kid-friendly, potty trained, and comfortable around another dog. We can crate your dog if that is part of their normal routine, but crate training is not required. We are happy to follow your dog’s feeding, medication, walking, and sleep routines as closely as possible to help them feel secure.

“Moxxie loved his doggie day care visit. Annabelle was very kind and easy to work with. We got pictures and videos of Moxxie while we were away. Great place to take your loved ones when on the road away and wanting to stop by the Valley Fair for day. So convenient knowing my pet was cared for.”

“Our dog always leaves happy from her stays with Jeremiah and his family which gives us great peace of mind. He has been so flexible and has had great communication with us on the many days we’ve had our Husky stay for doggy day-care. I highly recommend Jeremiah!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
