About: Hello and thank you for considering me! I am foremost focused on your pets safety and comfort! I have experience with quirky dogs, leash pullers, and the "I'm laying down and not moving technique". In addition to pet sitting for friends and familu, I've always had a critter crew of my own including birds, cats, dogs and reptiles: Currently I have 2 goofball dogs and a 38+ YO Turtle. I have experience with puppies all the way to seniors and am comfortable and experienced administering medication. I am also in the process of obtaining my canine massage therapy certification. I'm flexible to accommodate your schedule daily within the hours of 8am to 5pm. I am a Chinese Medicine Practitioner and have a varying schedule. I look forward to having you show me your dogs likes, loves and dislikes when it comes to favorite toys, how they like to be pet, and cookies! In regards to walks, any advice on what gives them the best, most satisfying walk is welcome.

“Laura came over to meet and greet and Ruby liked her immediately. It was a good match. It was a last minute booking and she came through. I am grateful. I will use her services again.”

About: I have animal care experience with a wide variety of animals(including some exotics) facing a large variety of struggles, be it medical or behavioral. This is my passion and I'm looking to share it with others by helping as many "difficult" pets and struggling parents out there that I can. I base my schedule off of my husband's who is active duty. He is about to have a schedule change in a couple weeks so I will update with my availability once we have that information. Unfortunately my home is at capacity at this time with our 4 rescue dogs and 2 rescue cats, so stays at our home are off the table. But I am more than happy to make the trip to care for your babies in their environment where they're most familiar. I also have plenty of references I can provide if you are hesitant.

“Richie was just what we required. She and Jessie made friends immediately and she provided Jessie with good, fun walks and gave her much needed exercise. Would love to have her again next time we need someone.”

About: Available for services in Brinnon, Lilliwaup, Hoodsport, Lake Cushman and Union. I've been caring for dogs for decades personally, and for family and friends for over 15 years. I have loads of compassion, impeccable attention to detail, and connecting with your pup through their unique expressions of communication is the primary focus of my attention when we're together. I work from home, so have a very flexible schedule that can easily meet your and your pups' needs daily. If you're interested in in-home sitting, my work allows me to remain with your pup for most of the day (minus appointments with walking clients). This allows us to establish and maintain a routine each day - a critical component of limiting your pup's stress while adjusting to you being away. On walks and home checks I offer training reinforcement as well as the kind of walk your dog needs: lots of sniffing time, or a face-paced multi-mile walk/hike, or a little of both! In your home, I will care for it and your pup as my own. Respecting your home's security, your neighbors, and your home's cleanliness is top priority.

About: Grew up with dogs/cat, owned dogs, housesit with 3 dogs occasionally. Willing to walk dogs with a leash, apply/give medicine, aim to please. Leave message. I am recently semi-retired. I’m typically up early. I’m walking daily. I enjoy lap animals to relax also. I do want freedom to attend doctors appointments. Following the routine and rules of the home including boundaries both for the animals and myself very important to me. Willing to clean dog mess if supplies are available.

“Katija has walked our pup and also stayed in our home with her over a long weekend - we appreciate Katija's thoughtful and frequent updates and communication. We feel completely at ease leaving Maddie in her care.”

About: I grew up in a family that always had at least one dog and as many as 4 at a time. I have owned dogs and cats for all of my 60+ years. Dogs are my fur people. They are beloved members of the family and treated as such. I don’t raise “hup-to” pups but they are sweet, loving friends. I am a retired RN and an End of Life Doula. I am autonomous and flexible with my time. Angus my hound and I walk 1-2 hours every morning. I have a fenced yard and 2 friendly couch potato Ridgebacks and a cat with an attitude! I am used to navigating the needs of pets.

About: I grew up with dogs and cats and pigs and cows and a few reptiles. I’ve had dogs my whole life. I’ve watched friend’s dogs and have temporarily taken in dogs when friends and family needed to re-home their pets. My schedule doesn’t allow me to have a pet full time but on my days off I can spend the day lounging inside or hiking outside or floating in a kayak with your pet! I currently have a pet fish who is always curious and would love to make your pet his new best friend! I only work a couple days a week and my schedule is fairly flexible. I can happily fit in pup time all the days in between! I live in a dog friendly house with a fenced backyard. I also enjoy hiking the local trails and going to the nearby parks. I have friends with small to large dogs that enjoy being outdoors and socializing with other dogs for some doggy play dates if preferred. My house has laminate flooring and I only clean with pet friendly solutions so if you have a puppy in training it’s not a big deal. When caring for your pet they will be the priority of my attention. If I am available then I will not be working so my routine will try to mimick their routine. I have a fenced yard with space for your pup to play. Beds are off limits abut I have a perfect doggy blanket on the couch with your pup’s name on it if furniture is ok by you.

About: “If I could be half the person my dog is, I’d be twice the human I am.” –Charles Yu Hi, I’m a lifelong animal lover with over 30 years of experience caring for pets—11 of those years professionally. I've cared for everything from sled dog teams to horses to chickens but dogs are truly my passion, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than spending my days walking, boarding, and providing them with the love and attention they deserve. I am currently certified in Dog Massage, Dog Training Methods to Stop Barking, and Pet Choking. My home is a doggy playground, complete with two fenced yards (one in front and one in back) for playtime and located right next to the beautiful trails of Illahee Park for long, scenic walks. Dogs are allowed on couches and beds here - your furry friend will feel right at home with me! Boarding and House sitting bookings come with a framed fantasy pet portrait of your pet(s) so if you have a preference for your pet paw-trait, please let me know! A little more about us: My husband and I moved here from Issaquah when we bought our first home in Bremerton in July 2023. I didn't bring my clients with me because of the distance, even though I wish I could have! I "retired" at that time from dog sitting but we started doing it again occasionally for friends, neighbors, and family and we realized how much we really missed doing it! We love it here in Kitsap County. So, while I'm not new to professional pet care, I'm newish to the Rover platform - if you have any concerns about my pricing or availability, please don’t hesitate to reach out. My rates reflect the quality of care I provide and are set to ensure my services are worthwhile. That said, I understand the Rover platform can occasionally create confusion, so I’m happy to discuss any unique circumstances you may have. As a freelance graphic designer working from home, I have the flexibility and freedom to dedicate plenty of quality time to caring for pets, whether that be in my home, or at yours. Boarding and Housesitting bookings come with a framed fantasy pet paw-trait of your pet(s). I have two friendly dogs at home who love company and are always up for playtime. They spend a lot of time having fun in our yard, but we also enjoy occasional trips to the local off-leash park. For more adventurous outings, we take longer hikes through the beautiful trails at Illahee and Dickerson, giving them plenty of exercise and exploration.

I do currently work at a vet clinic Tuesday-Thursday! I have lots of experience watching pets and can provide references if needed! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! You can trust her with yours.”

She has been watching the cats for years and you can always see how much the animals love her and how much she loves them. Animals seem to warm up to her faster than anyone else I know! I always know my pets are in good hands when she takes care of them. Though sometimes I think they might like her more than they like me! It seems that she has experience with just about every animal I can imagine, when I rescued three guinea pigs she had no problem adding them when she watches my cats. Pet lovers should know that when Cassie watches my animals I have the peace of mind that all my fur babies will be well cared for and I think you will feel the same with her around!”
