“Amanda was professional and loving towards my pups! She was communicative and I really enjoyed seeing my dogs so happy and content in her care. One of my dogs is extremely shy and sensitive and she took the time to give him the care he needed. I will be contacting Amanda for future sitting needs!”

“Karen did a great job and my little kitties loved her, each being playful. She was patient with my Sophia who is a picky princess. Karen also helped with shutting a forgotten window and cleaning up an unfortunate hairball. I look forward to having her care for my girls again.”

“Jeanne was great and very responsive. I had full confidence my cats were being well cared for while I was away. I would definitely recommend Jeanne and hope to reschedule her services for future dates.”

“Annika took great care of our little Noli cat while we were gone, and was clean and respectful of the house. We came home to a very happy kitty! I’d love to have her help us out again in the future.”

About: I have worked in the pet care industry, specializing in dogs, since 2013. From daycare and boarding to training and behavior modification- from grooming to veterinary care- I have seen it all and worked closely with a wide variety of experts in these fields. For several years, I even owned and ran my own in-home dog training business before deciding to move to the veterinary side- utilizing my years of experience to now help care for the health of people’s beloved dogs- and cats- in as fear free a way as possible. I am very excited to expand to offer walks and nail trims in this format and for the new relationships I will build! I am currently working part-time so I will be looking to fit in walks between my shifts. Currently I am only looking to book walks, drop ins and nail trims. It is always my goal to treat each dog and cat as if it is my own. I focus on being a strong, calm leader for them and providing them with the respect each animal deserves.
“So nice to have the peace of mind that our girl would be shown some love and given company and a good walk while we were a couple hours away. Felicia was a great communicator and made us very comfortable leaving our pup with someone new for the first time. We would love to have her back to care for our girl again!”

About: Soothing background sounds of classical music, natural light pouring in from the windows, cozy nook beds to curl up, and full attention provided throughout the day and night as needed. Creating a relaxing environment for a dog to feel safe when away from home is exactly what I strive to provide. I value offering predictable routines to significantly reduce anxiety, play time outdoors, puzzle toys for mental stimulation, and meeting your dog's needs in ways that are specific to them. As someone who has provided pet care throughout the last twenty years, and having two dogs myself for the last 5 years, I understand how valuable it is to find a sitter that is reliable, trustworthy, and observant. I will create a plan of care specific to your dog in order to recreate the consistencies of their home life and ensure a comfortable experience. I am a stay at home parent with minimal commitments outside of the home, which makes my schedule very flexible and accommodating. I do have some weekday morning appointments that may require me to leave the house for 1-2 hours. If boarding, I am available for last minute bookings. For dog walking or services that require being out of the home, I will need a few day notice to ensure I am not busy with other clients as I plan to only work with one family at a time. Please note that I have two older children that may accompany me for dog walking and drop in visits, but I will personally be responsible for handling all pet care. I have two friendly dogs who are both crate trained but prefer to roam freely. I keep a gate on the staircase to keep pets on the main level. This is for safety to ensure they are better supervised and not left unattended. My main level is very clear and clutter free. I have a gate on the back deck so the dogs can lounge safely outdoors. I do not have a fenced yard as our dogs are trained to stay within the boundary of the back yard, but I do have a dog play pen attached to the deck in the yard for potty breaks (this was set up to house train my puppy in a more confined area outside). Please let me know preference for your dog being outside as I am happy to take them out on a leash or let them in the play pen area if they aren't jumpers.
“Jodie was amazing. Ziggy loved her (he doesn't like anyone); she was dependable, cleaned his box, gave him fresh water and food, and did not leave a spot of a mess. I highly recommend Jodie and plan to use her in the future. Thanks, Jodie!!”

About: I have had pets my entire life and could never live without them. I have three dogs and three cats and would love the opportunity to take care of your babies the way you wish you could while you are away. My schedule is extremely flexible and I would love to further discuss together what works best for you and your fur babies needs sometime soon. I visit your home and take care of your pets in the environment that they know and are most comfortable. I will also do neighborhood walks, dog parks, and vet visits depending on arrangements.
About: I regularly care for friends' dogs when they're out of town or need someone to swing by during a long day. Walks, fetch, general snuggles. I work full time but can get away during the day for activities. Love early morning walks and a good game of fetch in the evening. General dog sitting and care. Feeding and medicine, walks, fun and games, and of course some good snuggling. Dogs of all shapes and sizes are welcome.

About: I have had dogs and cats in my life since I was four years old. I have been walking, feeding, playing with, and loving dogs for as long as I can remember. I have had three dogs, and each of them were adopted when they were puppies. My first dog, Otis, lived to almost seventeen, so I have much experience caring for puppies and senior dogs. I currently work part time on the weekends, and I will be interning for my master’s degree on Fridays. I will be able to take care of your pets Monday through Thursday. If I am watching your pets at your home, I will be able to feed them, play with them, take them outside, and take them for walks. I also have experience giving dogs and cats oral medicine if that is needed.

About: Hi, I’m Jay! 🐾 If you’re looking for someone who will love your pets as much as you do, you’ve come to the right place. Animals have been my biggest passion for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, birds, snakes, and everything in between, and I truly believe every pet deserves personalized care, lots of love, and plenty of attention. Whether your pet needs an energetic walking buddy, a cuddle buddy, playtime, meals, medication, a bath, or just someone patient and dependable while you’re away, I’m here to help! Long-haired pups or kitties that hate being brushed? No problemo! I’m happy to tackle the fluff so you don’t have to. 😊 One thing that sets me apart is that I’m constantly learning. I love researching animal behavior, enrichment, nutrition, and the best ways to keep pets happy, healthy, and stress-free. Every pet has their own personality, and I take the time to get to know what makes yours feel safe and comfortable. I know how nerve wracking it can be to leave your best friend with someone else, so I’ll care for your baby like they’re my own. You can expect plenty of updates, adorable photos, and the peace of mind that your furry, feathered, or scaly family member is in loving hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your bestie! 🤍 I have a regular day job and I still have plenty of time to care and love your furry (or scaly) best friends! They’re in great hands! I know leaving your pet with someone new can be stressful, so I do everything I can to make the experience easy for both you and your pet. I’ll always follow your care instructions closely, keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible, and make sure they get plenty of love and attention while you’re away. I’ll send lots of updates and pictures (because I know I’d want them too!) so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind. Whether your pet is super energetic, a little shy, or just wants someone to hang out with, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m very detail oriented and always pay attention to things like securely closing doors and gates, keeping dogs safely leashed on walks, and making sure your pet is happy and comfortable. My goal is for you to come home to a happy pet and feel confident that they were treated like family while you were away.
About: I’ve had 2 dogs throughout my life. I loved walking my dogs and playing with them while they were young. When they were senior dogs I became more patient and adjusted to their needs. I’m currently working flexible hours and days of the week. I have my own transportation and if needed I can transport your pets to groomers or vets. I will make sure to keep your pet hydrated and fed on their schedule. I enjoy taking walks and getting your pets out there for exercise. I understand each animal is different and will learn how to keep them comfortable while in their presence. I enjoy playing with cats and dogs until they are spent!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a East Hampstead stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in East Hampstead. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
