“This was our first time leaving our pup, Leia, and we were a bit nervous. Leia needs a lot of attention and isn't the easiest dog to care for. She needs a daily walk and because she is so small (she's been circled by a hawk) she can't be let out to do her business unattended. Taking care of her requires lots of outdoor time! She also doesn't do well with other dogs so boarding her or staying with someone who has a dog is out. Howie and his family were absolutely perfect! They took amazing care of Leia, provided us with pictures, sent daily updates, and did everything to set our mind at ease. Howie responded quickly to all my texts and encouraged us to check in whenever we wanted. He was also very accommodating with pick up and drop off- especially when we encountered a weather delay and came in hours later than we expected. We don't travel often but when we do, I know Howie will be the first one I call. Knowing that Leia was being so well cared for and being loved allowed us to really enjoy our vacation. Anna and David were the absolute best with our dog. They let us book on pretty short notice via referral from another Rover/mutual friend, and still made time for a thorough meet and greet before the booking started. We have a detailed care document (mostly because we like to cover all bases, even though the dog is fairly straightforward) and they embraced it, which put us at ease and let us know the dog was being cared for by folks that value what we do. On drop off day, we got the time mixed up, and they accommodated our error. Similarly, when the dog unexpectedly ran out of food while we were away, it was easily resolved with a delivery that they made time for. The flexibility was welcome! Our dog also took to them immediately, including their young child, which is especially unusual for a dog wary of kids. The child was very patient with her, and she even licked his face on the first day. We got updates with photos every day, and it was clear from those and upon pickup that the dog was right at home. Anna and David are affordable, too! Probably the best Rover we've ever used, and we'd happily board the dog with them again. :)
Laura and Miguel were great! They took the dogs on many walks, gave them lots of opportunity to play, and let the dogs lounge and relax. They were easy and quick to communicate and the pups felt well taken care of. Very friendly and caring household, definitely recommend.
We couldn’t have asked for a better Rover in Dorothy! Dorothy treated Opal as if she were her own - as Opal and Dorothy’s dog George became fast friends that played so well together. Getting adorable updates each day from Dorothy was a daily highlight. And when our flight was delayed a day, Dorothy didn’t hesitate to assist. If we could give 6 stars, we would!
Brian is an amazing dog-sitter! Our dog is always overjoyed to see him, and Brian gives such detailed daily reports and photos that we feel happy knowing what our dog is up to and confident that he is VERY happy and well cared for. Bonus: our dog loves Brian's dog and seems so happy to get to have time to play with her! Can't recommend Brian highly enough.
