“Samantha was fantastic to work with. She was attentive to our need, always timely in answering questions, and was great in sharing photographs of our pet while we were away. I was impressed with the facilities Samantha had in place for the care of dogs. When collecting our pet, it was clear he was comfortable being in Samantha’s care which tells me he was well cared for. We highly recommend Samantha.”

“Christina and Jason were great with my girls. I received pictures of them daily along with descriptions of their daily activities. They kept my girls busy and happy. I would highly recommend them.”
“Sonya was amazing! She is obviously a dob lover - attentive and kind, noticing the details and enjoying the work. We felt 100% confident with our dog in her care and would happily work with her again. She was communicative and easy to relate to - we are grateful!”

“Gwynn is great. She communicates clearly. She took great care of our energetic and sweet (but slightly naughty) dog. Keeva loved the great walks and cuddles. We loved the daily video updates. Thank you!”

“Totally thrilled with the stay! A perfect home for sensitive dogs - great people and a peaceful environment. Barbara and Darryll are warm, caring people and very responsive to my dogs needs, plus sent regular updates and pictures throughout the stay. My dog is a Belgian Shepherd and can be anxious and at times reactive, but she was relaxed and quiet while staying here. It was ideal because they were home with her most of the time and kept a consistent routine for her. She found her place on a couch by the window so she could watch the squirrels in the yard, just like at home. I felt safe leaving my dogs with such kind people, thank you Barbara and Darryll! I can't recommend them highly enough!”

“I am truly grateful to have found Lexi to care for my dog, Vizhna. I need to board V for 11 weekends over a nine-month period because I'm going to school away from home. Vizhna gets anxious in new situations, so it was important for me to find one person who could do most or all of the weekends, instead of finding a different sitter for each weekend. I contacted 14 pet-sitters on Rover that didn't work out--before I contacted Lexi. Lexi is calm, competent, thoughtful, caring, and detail-oriented, and Vizhna was able to relax and enjoy herself while staying with Lexi and her family. That was a huge weight off my heart, to find a situation where V will not feel anxious while she's away from home--and in fact to find a second (temporary) home for V. I highly recommend Lexi for any pet care you need!”

“I left my dog with Peter for 6 days and I am very appreciative of the service he provided! He was very kind to my dog, gave her plenty of walks and the communication was perfect. He made sure to verify the important things and provided me with well timed updates without my asking which I thought was extremely kind and well thought out. This man clearly knows what he is doing and cares about the clients he takes on. I would 10/10 recommend him to any one looking to board their dog for an extended amount of time!”

“Kevin was great - excellent communication, and I felt my dog was in good hands. He stayed with Kevin for the two days we biked at KT. Kevin took him for hikes each day, which was greatly appreciated. He has a sweet greyhound that didn’t seem at all perturbed by our high energy springer! We go to KT at least once a year and hope to book him again!”

About: I've owned and taken care of dogs my entire life. I'm proud to be one of the first people friends and family call when a petsitter is needed. I love walking, and I love dogs. This seems like the perfect opportunity to exercise and get my animal fix! I'm currently working full-time Monday through Friday. I can do evening walks after 5:00 PM (as weather allows) and I can do weekends between 9:00 AM - 6 PM. My current apartment doesn't allow pets, but I can housesit on weekends or in the evenings if the location is somewhat close to my work in Waterbury. I'm a long-time vegetarian, and have always had an extra sensitive heart when it comes to animals. I think that earning an animal's trust is such a privilege and gift, and I honor that. I cannot house pets in my current apartment, but I will follow the guidance and knowledge of the owners in their homes and while on walks.
“Kim was so kind and incredibly flexible the pick-up and drop-offs with our pup. She sent us tons of photos and updates throughout the stay. Our dog loved Moose and they were quickly best playmates. We would definitely use Kim again if we’re in the area!”

About: I can cater to whatever your dog needs. Whether that be daily long walks, runs, or just a simple stroll through the yard. Growing up with 2 dogs has taught me a lot Currently on summer break as I wait for my college graduate program to start. I can give your dog all the attention they need and deserve. I have a partially fenced in yard and I’m a very short walk to a lot of great trails and water. Also I have room for any crates that may be used.
“Anna was an outstanding pet and house sitter. She was professional, responsive, and incredibly patient with all of my nervous pet-mom questions throughout the stay. She arrived right on time, took wonderful care of my pets, and left my home in immaculate condition. She even washed all of the bedding without being asked, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. I came home to happy pets and a house that looked wonderful. I would not hesitate to recommend Anna and would gladly book her again.”

“Great communication and wonderful accommodations for our senior pup. Sent photos daily. Exceedingly kind demeanor (if I was local, no doubt I would grab a beer with him). We really appreciate that he sits one dog at a time.”

“We felt very confident leaving Gribble with Christina and her family! He is a shy guy who takes a little while to settle in, but Christina assured us he'd always have someone to snuggle and make him feel comfortable. She sent pictures and was very communicative. We would definitely recommend Christina!”

“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

“Robyn was absolutely amazing with Jaco. She took care of him as if he were her own. Tons of excersice every day and amazing updates. We were able to rest easy on our vacation. Jaco might have had a better trip than us! We would definitely recommend Robyn to anyone looking to have their dog go on vacation as well.”

Many sitters in VT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
