About: I've owned and taken care of dogs my entire life. I'm proud to be one of the first people friends and family call when a petsitter is needed. I love walking, and I love dogs. This seems like the perfect opportunity to exercise and get my animal fix! I'm currently working full-time Monday through Friday. I can do evening walks after 5:00 PM (as weather allows) and I can do weekends between 9:00 AM - 6 PM. My current apartment doesn't allow pets, but I can housesit on weekends or in the evenings if the location is somewhat close to my work in Waterbury. I'm a long-time vegetarian, and have always had an extra sensitive heart when it comes to animals. I think that earning an animal's trust is such a privilege and gift, and I honor that. I cannot house pets in my current apartment, but I will follow the guidance and knowledge of the owners in their homes and while on walks.
“Totally thrilled with the stay! A perfect home for sensitive dogs - great people and a peaceful environment. Barbara and Darryll are warm, caring people and very responsive to my dogs needs, plus sent regular updates and pictures throughout the stay. My dog is a Belgian Shepherd and can be anxious and at times reactive, but she was relaxed and quiet while staying here. It was ideal because they were home with her most of the time and kept a consistent routine for her. She found her place on a couch by the window so she could watch the squirrels in the yard, just like at home. I felt safe leaving my dogs with such kind people, thank you Barbara and Darryll! I can't recommend them highly enough!”

She watched our very enthusiastic 1.5 year old golden retriever for the weekend, and took him on hikes, had him splashing in brooks and meeting goats. She was easy to get in touch with, accepted our last minute booking (including squeezing in a meet and greet prior) and sent great photos. 10/10 recommend!!”
About: I've been taking care of pets for two decades and will love them like I love my own. I believe the best way to teach a dog is positive reinforcement and will work with whatever routines you have established with your furry family member. I work from home 3 days per week and the days are flexible except Thursday when I have to be at my office in Montpelier. I can go home on my lunch breaks for walks on the days I'm in the office (and you're close to Montpelier) and can work from your home if I'm housesitting and you have internet. As a gal in her 40s I'm pretty low key and will be very happy spending my time with your pet in your home or taking them on adventures if that's what they prefer. I love hiking and walks and have lots of friends with dogs if socialization is something you'd like for your pup.

“They were so great!! Lika took a ton of pictures and videos of our dog Schnappi through the weekend which totally helped my separation anxiety lol. It made us feel good to see Schnappi playing and napping and knowing he was being taken care of so well. They followed the directions we left for feeding, medication, etc. well and were really communicative. They were able to help us out last minute when our friend had to cancel on dog-sitting, which was amazing. And then when my plane was super delayed Lika was really nice about me being late to pick him up. She also went above & beyond and delivered his food bowls to us after we forgot to bring them home. All around great experience, you can tell they're dog people and I will definitely rebook with them next time we need a sitter.”
“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: I grew up with cats, both indoor and outdoor. In college I adopted my own cat who recently passed away at the age of 19. He was very healthy up until the last year during which time he needed special medication and some adjustments made to his living quarters. I recently adopted an adult cat named Angus and he has fit in with my dogs wonderfully! I’d love to help care for someone else’s kitty and make sure they’re given love and attention while their humans are away. I regularly take care of friends’ cats while they’re away.

About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take puppers for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. My schedule changes from week to week but feel free to contact me to double check my availability no matter the season! I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! I'm able to work from home most days of the week, this allows me to be available for all pet needs - morning, lunch time, and after work walks are a part of my daily schedule when we have a dog to take care of. Lots of mental stimulation and training exercises throughout the day to keep them out of trouble helps too! I have a 9 year old cat in the house that tends to keep to herself in the bedroom when there's a dog around. Our home is on 5 acres of land with a big yard to do lots of sniffing around. I'm also located right on the rail trail for longer walks and adventures!

Now, my partner and I adopt old pets and care for them during their retirement. I've owned several dogs, cats, rodents, and horses. About: When I was growing up my family always had dogs and cats. I have two dogs of my own (I have a senior shepherd mix and a 1.5 year old lab mix) as well as a cat. I work with middle school students during the school year and would love to spend my summer taking care of animals. My dogs are my priority so I can’t commit to overnights but with my days free this summer I would love to do some dog walking, house sitting and cat sitting. I work full-time during the school year but I have the summers off with plenty of free time to spend cuddling with some cats. I’d love to do dog sitting as well but am not sure I can commit to overnights as I have my own two dogs at home who need me but I’m open for daily support such as walks or feeding during the owners’ work hours. My dogs use a long lead out back and aren’t left unsupervised for long. About: I’ve spent a lot of time doing long term dogsitting as well as drop in feeding/walks. I have experience with puppies, seniors, and everything in between! I’ll be your dog’s new best friend! I work part time Sunday - Tuesday so I am usually available for sitting or drop in visits Wednesday - Friday, as my schedule allows. For overnight and day care for dogs I am available to travel to your home to sit for your pets. For walks I can travel to your home and walk them around your area, or I can pick your pup up and bring them on a hike or trail walk!

“Gwynn is fantastic. We have a tiny 6 lb on-year-old dog, and a large, lanky 70lb 13-year-old. Opposite extremes. Both recently stayed with Gywnn for several days, and she was 100% and equally dialed into their very different needs the entire time. From the moment we first saw Gwynn interact with our two, it was clear that 1) she truly understands dogs and dog behavior, and 2) she loves dogs. That mix of professional ability and heart-felt care is a special combination, and makes for a terrific dog sitter. We'll be thrilled to send our dogs back to Gwynn when the need arises. “Totally thrilled with the stay! A perfect home for sensitive dogs - great people and a peaceful environment. Barbara and Darryll are warm, caring people and very responsive to my dogs needs, plus sent regular updates and pictures throughout the stay. My dog is a Belgian Shepherd and can be anxious and at times reactive, but she was relaxed and quiet while staying here. It was ideal because they were home with her most of the time and kept a consistent routine for her. She found her place on a couch by the window so she could watch the squirrels in the yard, just like at home. I felt safe leaving my dogs with such kind people, thank you Barbara and Darryll! I can't recommend them highly enough!”
“Julia was AWESOME. In fact, I worried that our dog, Tucker, would end up preferring to stay with her rather than come home with us! She watched our very enthusiastic 1.5 year old golden retriever for the weekend, and took him on hikes, had him splashing in brooks and meeting goats. She was easy to get in touch with, accepted our last minute booking (including squeezing in a meet and greet prior) and sent great photos. 10/10 recommend!!”
About: I've been taking care of pets for two decades and will love them like I love my own. I believe the best way to teach a dog is positive reinforcement and will work with whatever routines you have established with your furry family member. I work from home 3 days per week and the days are flexible except Thursday when I have to be at my office in Montpelier. I can go home on my lunch breaks for walks on the days I'm in the office (and you're close to Montpelier) and can work from your home if I'm housesitting and you have internet. As a gal in her 40s I'm pretty low key and will be very happy spending my time with your pet in your home or taking them on adventures if that's what they prefer. I love hiking and walks and have lots of friends with dogs if socialization is something you'd like for your pup.

“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: Growing up around a wide variety of animals has given me the skills and passion needed to be an attentive and responsible carer of all kinds of pets. I've owned several dogs, cats, rodents, and horses. I was responsible for administering medications, accommodating pets with special needs, becoming attuned to various behaviors and habits, and adhering to specific individualized training methods. I'm currently working full-time from home as a customer service rep for a small, local company and mothering my 2 year old toddler (who is very gentle and respectful around all animals). I'm fortunately very flexible with my schedule and can accommodate both last-minute and long-term schedules! Being a sincere animal lover, I'm always enthusiastically willing to tend to the needs of any pets that are under my care. I believe that both people and animals benefit from living in a clean and comfortable space, so I seek to maintain and accommodate that kind of positive atmosphere in your pet's home.
“Maria is an amazing sitter. I'm so glad she is close by. My dog Aidan is 14 and I didn't want to leave him at a traditional boarding kennel. Maria provided daily updates with pics which put me at ease while I was away, I could tell Aidan had a great time with her and Lalo. Plenty of play time and outdoor excursions.”
