About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have always loved caring for animals. I’ve helped care for the dogs of friends, family, and neighbors over the years, and I’m comfortable following each dog’s individual routine, whether that means walks, playtime, meals, medication, or simply keeping them company. I am currently a stay-at-home mom, which gives me a flexible schedule when it comes to pet sitting. I’m happy to work with your routine and do my best to accommodate the days and times you need. I understand how important it is for your pets to stay comfortable in their own home, and I’m committed to providing reliable, attentive care while you’re away. Your pets’ comfort and happiness are my top priority! When sitting in your home, I’ll keep them on their normal routine and give them plenty of love, attention, playtime, and companionship. I’ll treat your home with care and respect while you’re away, and I’m happy to follow any special instructions, including crating, walks, medications, and feeding schedules.

Thank you Mia!”

About: I live in a three bedroom single-family home down the street from a dog-friendly park. Codorus State park is nearby and long walks will be taken along the lake. I am very clean, my Labrador Retriever mix is crate trained and sleeps on the floor by my bed, so your pup can, too! I actively attend dog training courses and understand all areas of pet ownership. My goal is to make sure your pet enjoys their stay away from home and is as comfortable as possible. I will maintain any schedules you have and will make sure your pet gets extra love during your time apart. Regardless if your dog has energy for days or is older and prefers to sleep on comfy blankets, my home can accommodate both types of dogs. Dogs will have access to my couch while home. I am able to host all sized dogs at my home. Morning 7:00 - 7:30 am - Wake Up, Walk, and Potty 7:30 - 7:45 am - Training 7:45 - 8:00 am - Breakfast 8:30 - 9:00 am - Potty 9:00 am - Settle in for the Day Middle of the Day 1:00 - 1:30 pm - Potty and Play Evening 5:30 - 6:00 pm - Potty and a Walk 6:00 - 6:15 pm - Training 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm - Settle In 7:15 pm - 7:30 pm - Dinner 7:30 pm - 8:00 pm - Play Time 10:00 pm - Potty and Crate I take a bit of extra time before I leave to make sure everything’s secure, nothing’s been left out, and the dog has what they need before myself (or you) come back. I always check fence gates before letting a dog outside. I always lock the doors, and make sure I don’t step outside without the key, just in case the doorknob is the type that can lock behind you. I do one last check. Particularly with walks and drop-in visits, dogs spend a good amount of time alone in the home. I walk through the area the dog will stay in and check that all trash can lids are locked, no food is on the counters, and that any gates or crates set up are secure. I give myself some spare time between each client. I have a backup plan in case something happens to my car (AAA has been a lifesaver!).

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
