“Heather is absolutely the best sitter!! She is very sweet and kind. She keeps us updated with pictures (she gets the best funny pics) and notes as well, we 100% trust Heather with our furry family we will definitely ask her again and highly recommend her!”

“Krista was the best!! Thorough updates every visit and I could tell she spent the entire 30 minutes with our babies. We will be booking her again for future weekends away!!”

“Mia was great! We had two dogs to juggle and one that is a little tough for us and that had us worried. But she handled things with ease and provided us with updates. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Chloe did a great job with our ducks! They were happy and healthy when we got back. She went above and beyond when it ended up being colder than expected. I appreciate all the pictures she sent and the care that she gave them. We would book with her again!”
“Shae was fantastic with Marisa and Shandy. They took to her immediately. I also appreciated her immediate response to our request. I won’t hesitate to use her services in the future.”
“Tori was great to work with. I was up in Pennsylvania house sitting for my mom, but had to drive to Virginia 2 nights and come back the same nights. She helped out tremendously by letting Chloe and Delilah out and loving on them while I was gone. I'm definitely gonna recommend her to my mom as well. I cant even give enough thanks for how much she helped and took the stress off of me having to leave the pups for 8 hours.”

About: Hi! My name is Clarissa and I’ve been an animal lover all my life. I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and pigs. I have one pup named Revvy and he’s a German shepherd mix. I am currently managing a fear-free, vet tech ran grooming salon and have been working with all kinds of pets for the past 4-5 years. Keeping your fur babies safe and happy is what matters to me the most. I’m currently working part time day shift from 9am-5pm. Depending on the day I may get off early around 2-3pm but I always try to plan around 4:30 and will be able to change depending on your flexibility. I’m willing to do anything that’s needed for your fur baby. I’m also experienced in puppy obedience training if you happen to have a puppy.

“John checked in on my terribly scared and shy cat while I was out of town. He managed to find my cats hiding spots and snap a few cute pictures. Everything went well, no issues. Thanks so much.”
“Leilani kept in constant contact with me during my trip, making it easier to leave my 2 cats. Clarence, my 1.5 year old gave her a 2-paw rating for playing with him and his favorite toy...a clothes line 😸”

About: Being around animals just brightens my day! I was a groomer for 2 years before becoming a mom full time. I have experience with dogs ranging from little baby doggies to the giants of giants and I love them all. I ABSOLUTELY will take pictures of your furbaby so fully expect picture updates along the way. I have experience with diabetes in dogs so I’m good with giving insulin injections as well as taking blood for blood sugar checks. I’ve dog sat for friends/family/neighbors and my priority is to always treat every pup as my own. I have 8 years experience house sitting/checking in/dog walking for others and 11 years personal experience. I’m a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to hangout with your fur babies! My morning availability starts at 8:30am. When doing check ins or house sitting I like to follow any requests/routines you the pet parent already have in place for your fur babies day to day.
About: Home Environment I live in a spacious house featuring a securely fenced back yard, providing a safe and comfortable environment for pets to play and relax. My Chihuahua, who is notably sociable and friendly, enjoys interacting with other dogs, cats, and people alike. Resident Pets In addition to my Chihuahua, I share my home with two cats that I rescued from the local animal shelter. Both cats are well-adjusted and accustomed to living with dogs. Typically, after a brief introduction consisting of a few sniffs and perhaps a hiss, they are able to coexist peacefully with other cats. Experience and Availability Since retiring from the Army, I am available around the clock to care for your beloved pet. With more than 26 years of experience in owning and caring for both dogs and cats, I am well-versed in understanding and meeting their unique needs. Commitment to Care I promise to care for your pet as if it were my own, ensuring its safety, comfort, and happiness. Every animal entrusted to me is treated as an extended and respected member of my household. I am a retired Army veteran and parent of a Chihuahua and 2 cats. I am available around the clock to take care of your fur baby as a respected member of my household. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly Chihuahua to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed. My cats ignore dogs that don't want to play. If your dog dislikes cats, I am able to separate their living areas while your dog is on-site.
“Emily was a wonderful pet sitter. She checked in with us every day, sending pictures and letting us know how our dogs and cats were doing. I would definitely recommend Emily to anyone wanting someone who really cares about animals.”

“Alexis was absolutely wonderful for our brood. She really took the time to learn about each of our cats and helped ease the anxiety I felt leaving them for a week. She went above and beyond!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for different family members and friends. Your animals would get plenty of attention and love with me. I wake up at 6 am. My week days vary from having class from 9-11 MWF, Tuesday at 2, and Thursday at 11. I live off campus about 3 minutes away, so I can easily check in/take out the pets. I do not have a fenced in yard, but there is plenty of grass and a park within walking distance. I am more comfortable walking with a leash unless there is a fenced in yard. My apartment has 1 roommate and plenty of space for dogs/cats to roam or lay down.
“Rita has been absolutely amazing with my pup Juno! She went above and beyond to make sure Juno was well taken care of. Juno has a lot of anxiety and sometimes becomes reactive when she gets nervous. Rita worked with Juno through positive reinforcement to decrease her anxiety and make Juno feel comfortable. I would 100% recommend Tita to any dog parent!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 17 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across East Berlin. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
