“She did amazing with Hermione and gave ups pic and video updates. She took time to come and meet our girl before the needed dates. Such a sweet person! Would recommend and will be a repeat client!”

“We are so lucky to have found Breezy here. Our first time using drop in services and we had complete peace of mind while out of town knowing our fur babies would be cared for in our home. Every drop in we received photos and details. Plus our dogs loveeeee Breezy. I’m pretty sure they could care less that we weren’t home because their new favorite person was there.”

“Naomi is absolutely amazing, she is kind, honest and trustworthy! She went above and beyond in the best possible ways for me and my family. We were in a difficult situation with our mother needing to leave her pets and go for temporary healthcare after suffering a stroke, Naomi made the pet care for the cats and dog in every way easier for us with no worries on their care and attention.”
“A++++++!!! Christi is truly an exceptional cat sitter. She exceeded all expectations while looking after our kittens during our time away. Not only did she provide stellar care for our furry friends, but she also went the extra mile by assisting us in troubleshooting our chirping smoke detectors—an unexpected act of kindness that truly exemplifies her dedication. Throughout her visits, Christi showered our kittens with exceptional attention and care. From sending frequent updates with photos and videos to engaging them in play, grooming, feeding, and ensuring their living environment remained clean and comfortable, she left no stone unturned in her commitment to their well-being. Given our kittens' lively antics, often leading them into tricky situations at home, entrusting them to Christi's care brought us immense peace of mind. Her evident affection for animals shone through in every interaction. Her willingness to go above and beyond, such as recently rescuing newborn possums and stranded baby ducks, further underscored her profound compassion and competence. Christi's punctuality and responsiveness added to our confidence in her abilities, as she consistently arrived on time for each visit and promptly addressed any inquiries or additional instructions. We are eagerly anticipating our next trip, knowing that our beloved kittens will be in the capable hands of someone with such a genuine love for animals.”

“Dawn was amazing and helped walk and take care of our 7 month old puppy when we were out for the day! She made sure to update us and send lots of pictures and videos. Would definitely recommend dawn!”

About: I care about them as if they were my own. They don't live as long as humans so they deserve the best life we can give them while they're here. The only experience and knowledge I have of dogs and cats is what I've learned on my own with my pets throughout my life. I don't have a job so my availability is mostly flexible. Looking for extra money, I don't have any special skills I just need extra money and love dogs and cats. The only thing I can think of that puts me apart from other services/sitters is the desire and drive to complete any task, besides my love for pets, I have a great work ethic that helps me be motivated to ensure every step was taken in completing a task. Money is also a great motivator but isn't the saying "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life", that's a great interpretation of my work ethic. I'm currently unemployed. I usually have availability on Saturday, and Sunday. If I am available during the weekend I will update my schedule, otherwise that's my availability. I cannot offer boarding in my home because I live in an apartment where each pet in my home needs to be paid for and accounted for by my apartment management but I will treat your animals and living spaces like royalty and respect all responsibilities asked of me while I care for your pets in your home.
“Jasmine did a fantastic job watching our dog, Lucy. She was always on time. She kept us aware of any issues and sent pictures from each visit. She came to our house 3 times each day and we never worried for a moment that Lucy was not being cared for. We would highly recommend Jasmine!”

About: I’ve taken care of puppies to senior dogs with health problems that may need more attention. To cats, dogs, rabbits, rodents ect I love them all equally. I’m a part time student working a part time job, afternoons and evenings work the best for me, though some mornings I’m available to work My pets get regular baths and frequent walks, along-with healthy food with an overwhelming amount of love. Matched with playtime with their toys and cuddles!
About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember, so I’m very comfortable with all dog breeds. I can also take care of more than just dogs and cats—I have experience with ferrets, birds, snakes, large lizards, and small animals/rodents. If you have other pets, that’s totally okay! I love making sure dogs get plenty of outdoor time, and if yours is high-energy, I’ll keep them busy and entertained 😊 I work Monday–Friday and usually get off around 4:30 PM, but I keep my weekends open for bookings. I’m available after 4:30 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but I work until 9:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I’m fully available on weekends. I know your pets miss you when you’re away, so I always make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and playtime. I have five dogs of my own, so I’m very used to different personalities and energy levels, and I’ll treat yours like part of the family.
About: I've taken care of animals my entire life. Cats, dogs, birds, iguanas, ferrets and a few farm animals too. I was involved in an animal rescue group for several years, fostering many animals who had health issues. I firmly believe that all animals deserve love, shelter, safety, and food. I fall in love with almost every animal I meet! Even chickens! When I'm taking care of an animal, they get a majority of my attention and affection. I do some work from home so it should blend well. I like to meet with the owners and pets a couple of times before to be sure the animals are familiar with me and learn any important information for each pet. I try to follow the owners routine so that the pets are not confused.
“Jamie was wonderful! My trip away was less stressful knowing that my three very spoiled kitties were being well cared for. She sent photos each visit and was easily reachable with texts. I will definitely be asking her to watch the kitty crew again!”
“Jessica did an incredible job watching our cats and keeping our house in shape! When we take trips, our cats tend to decimate everything and it was great to know Jessica was not only easing our worry, but keeping our cats safe and entertained!”
“We had a great experience with Andrea. She was incredibly thorough, detail-oriented, and clearly took the time to make sure everything was handled exactly how we like it. Most importantly, Suma really enjoyed her and had a great time playing. She was always prompt and communicative, sending lots of updates, photos, and messages during her visits—which I know many pet owners will really appreciate. You can tell she genuinely cares and puts in the extra effort. She’s newer to Rover, but you wouldn’t know it from the level of care and professionalism she brings. We’d absolutely book her again!”

“Super friendly and reliable, Jessica & Becky will now be our "go-to" cat-sitters for all future vacations. We left for a 15-day "bucket list" trip and were able to enjoy every minute without worrying! I highly recommend their service.”

“Corey did a great job caring for my 3 occasionally behaved dogs and making them feel comfortable. He is very responsive and gives great updates. I would 100% hire him again in the future”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Dunnellon
Dawn is an absolute lifesaver. I had an emergency while out of state and she stepped up with less than an hour's notice. Not only did she follow my specific technical instructions for my indoor bonsai trees perfectly, but she also has a great eye for detail. She noticed the cats' water bowl was empty even though a secondary bowl was full, showing she truly cares about the animals' well-being. She was professional, communicative, and handled everything flawlessly. I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dunnellon. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
