I strongly recommend Adriana. She and her family love dogs and have pictures of the dogs they’ve taken care of on the wall. They have a fenced in yard where dogs can play outside. My dog hasn’t been alone with strangers in a few years but when I picked him up he was snoozing on the couch with Adriana. She and her son Randall were both so friendly and supportive. She sent me pictures of Rufus all day, too. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Mary took care of my 3 year old dog for a few hours. She was very considerate, transperant and cared about my dog. I got pictures and information how it goes to my pup, they even went to park even though it was a short stay. Thank you!

Hailey took great care of our dog Mumford! He's a senior with some health issues, so we're always nervous about leaving him with someone new. She met with us before his stay, and even provided pick up and drop off to and from our home. I got pictures every day of him cuddling in her bed! He looked like he felt right at home! I'm sure he's looking forward to seeing her again soon; we've booked her to help with some daily walks. I feel very happy knowing that we can go out of town and have someone we trust to take care of him.

About: I’ve always loved caring for pets and making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m patient, attentive, and careful with feeding, walking, playtime, and routines. I treat every pet like family and make sure they get the care, affection, and attention they need. Pet care fits well into my daily routine because I’m reliable, flexible, and able to plan my day around each pet’s needs. I can help with walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and keeping pets comfortable while their owner is away. I always focus on safety, comfort, and trust. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, keep pets in a clean and calm environment, and make sure they are supervised, secure, and cared for with patience and kindness.

About: I don't have much experience with dog care. My family briefly had a dog or two when we lived in Trinidad and Tobago for about 2 years. And my oldest brother briefly lived with a Husky. I've been surrounded by cats most of my life since I was about 15 years old and now I'm 42 years old. I plan on being the sole pet caregiver in my household for your pet(s) and I will treat your pet or dog like an extended part of the family. Whatever rules you wish for me to follow with your pet or dog I will follow and respect them. I have a deep compassion for animals and will treat your pet or dog with love and care. I'm currently a part-time home health aide or caregiver for my Autistic 14 year old son which takes place at our home. I have a family of 5 including three kids and I'm looking for a way to make extra income. We live with 4 cats who spend most of their time outdoors. We have a fenced up yard with plenty of room for your pet(s) to roam around in and play.

Mera was wonderful with our 5-mo-old puppy (Briar)! She was very responsive and accommodating during the initial meet-and-greet and booking process, and she sent frequent photos and videos of Briar playing with Mera's dogs throughout the day. She followed our care instructions and was happy to work with our schedule. Thanks, Mera!

About: I grew up surrounded by a variety of farm and domestic animals, but my new apartment is too small for dogs or cats... So I’d love to care for your pets! I have experience with little puppies and kittens, grumpy old pets, large athletic dogs and cats or dogs that need brushing or to be carried up stairs or crated. Simply let me know your pet’s needs and I’ll be delighted to meet them. My friends know me as a big fan of dogs, and a cat whisperer (even grumpy ones!). I even have a cat tattoo, so a pet is always with me. As long as I can remember I have enjoyed walking, feeding, swimming with, medicating, brushing, and petting my family and friend’s variety of sizes and breeds of cats and dogs. I have done overnight stays as well and had a blast. I also have experience caring for snakes, hamsters, and birds if you need. I am an intern and recent college grad.

Honestly I don't think I could find a better person to care for my baby when we aren't home. Serena seemed to have a good time and was able to relax and not be nervous. She even ate some dinner (which she usually doesn't when we aren't around).

About: Safety first, my home has fences and gates to protect your love ones. If you work mid shift or over night and need somewhere for your four legged children to go while you work we have just the place for them. I love to play and cuddle with my dogs and would love the opportunity to have your love one stay with me in a loving home environment. I have watched the neighbors dog from time to time and had the care of my granddaughter who is a cat off and on for 2 years. I would rather leave my children (4 legged children) in a home setting if I had to travel away from home and they couldn't go with me. My husband loves animals too and since my husband isn’t working anymore one or the other of us is usually home all of the time. We have 2 four legged children that get along well with other dogs. We have a security system thru ADT. We also have motion cameras to keep an eye on your pets if we need to go out. Our back yard is fenced and well lite for when they are outside at night. We have outside the front door security camera, with night vision, 2way speak, warning. All our indoor cameras also , the same abilities. I am always willing to aloud, you’re family members “dogs and cats “,to sleep in bed with me, Donald. Will to give your family members, a bath or even hair brushing. I will give him or her love, all the time.

About: I currently run a 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue organization in Lackawanna county called TT’s Rescue Squad. I also am an active volunteer with numerous other local pet rescues. I do house some fully vetted rescue and resident kitties that are all friendly with my dog guests. I have cared for animals my whole life. While your dog is in my care I will also provide basic obedience and puppy training/socialization. I am well known in my local area rescue community and can provide numerous personal references. I attended a technical school and received a certificate in animal science. I recently attended a pet first aid class. **About my home/services** All Doggie Guests Must be Dog, People, and kid friendly. I host Doggie Daycare in my home daily and it’s very important all dogs are friendly with other dogs. Due to the fact that Cats do reside in my home I request an honest heads up for house guests that are not cat friendly so I can ensure a safe environment for my cats in advance, my cats have been socialized with small and large dogs and are very friendly and trusting of dogs. Cats are allowed to free roam with all dog guests during their stay unless advance plans are made. I am home all day. Your pet will not be left alone during daycare hours and never longer then a shopping / grocery trip while boarding. I have a securely fenced in yard that is very well maintained and also gates throughout the house to prevent accidental escaping when doors are opened.

About: Hey, I'm Kelly! I've dog-sat for friends over the years for various lengths of time, getting to know many different breeds and their unique personalities. I genuinely love dogs and focus not just on their basic needs, but also on engaging with them and providing a fun environment. If you're looking for a reliable, experienced, and fun-loving dog sitter, I'm your person. Can't wait to meet you and your furry friend! I work from home, which means plenty of time to hang with dogs. Whether it's walk time, feed time, or just chill time, I've got it covered. Love having a furry friend around to make the workday better. I've got a great setup at home for dogs – a fenced backyard for them to run around in and tons of toys for playtime. Your dog will have the freedom to explore and play in a secure environment, and I'll always be there to keep an eye on them. So, while you're away, they'll be having their own little fun-filled vacation at my place.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Dunmore

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Dunmore on Rover is $33.3 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 109 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Dunmore. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Dunmore commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 109 sitters in Dunmore, 91% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
