Talia had a great day! Her first time with Donald and Karen along with her first time away from since I rescued her in January. She had such a good time that when I arrived she was in the chair looking at me like I have to go home already. The pictures Donald sent were great to get and it warmed my heart to see how she settled in. Will definitely book again and highly recommend.

About: I’ve had animals in my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up there’s always been at least 1 dog and cat in our home. My fiancé and I currently have two pups of our own, including one with epilepsy, so I’m comfortable with medications, special care, and making sure pets feel safe and loved. I’ve cared for animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and my goal is always to become your pet’s new best friend (with plenty of treats, walks, belly rubs, and a few silly conversations along the way). I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they get all the love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away! I work a hybrid schedule, so on the days my calendar shows I’m available, I’m working from home and have plenty of flexibility throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, meals, and lots of attention. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I treat them like they’re my own. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable, so I try to keep their normal routine as much as possible — same feeding schedule, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications, and plenty of love and attention. In my home, pets become part of the family! I have two pups of my own, so I understand the importance of making sure everyone feels comfortable, supervised, and included. I’m happy to provide a calm environment with lots of playtime, cuddles, and attention. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping things familiar and stress-free. I follow your instructions closely, keep your pets on their usual schedule, send updates and pictures, and make sure you come home to happy, well-cared-for pets.

About: I have cared for pets since I was a a child. My first pet chose me when I was about 5 years old. When I stayed with my babysitter, I would play with their cat all day. The babysitter gave me Tiger because they saw how much I loved her. Ever since then I cared for dogs and cats. I walj my dogs every day weather permitting. I bathe and brush them when needed. My little guys love playdates and are sooo friendly. I am currently retired, so I can provide exceptional care. I spend lots of time in my big fenced in yard, and eager to play fetch. Lots of playtime. I have so many toys. Big fenced yard and lots of time for running around. I also have a doggy door so all the fur babies can go out and in as much as they like.

About: I've been professionally caring for pets for over four years through my home-based pet sitting business, Yech's Pet Haven. I am also a licensed boarding facility, giving pet parents added peace of mind that their dogs are staying in a safe and compliant environment. During that time, I've cared for dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes, including puppies, seniors, and pets with special routines or medications. I have experience safely managing multiple dogs, supervising playtime, and making sure every pet receives the individual attention they deserve. Growing up surrounded by animals, including dogs, horses, and goats, has given me a lifelong understanding of animal behavior and care. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, low-stress environment where every pet feels right at home while you're away. Pet care is a big part of my daily routine. Since I run a home-based boarding facility, I am able to provide frequent attention, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and supervision throughout the day. I keep my boarding numbers small so each pet receives personalized care and plenty of one-on-one attention. My schedule is built around making sure every dog feels comfortable, safe, and cared for while their family is away. I provide a safe, calm, and loving home environment where pets can relax and feel comfortable. As a licensed boarding facility, I prioritize cleanliness, safety, and responsible pet care. I carefully manage introductions, supervise interactions, and separate pets during meals, rest time, or whenever needed. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and individual preferences, so they feel right at home.

About: I don't have much experience with dog care. My family briefly had a dog or two when we lived in Trinidad and Tobago for about 2 years. And my oldest brother briefly lived with a Husky. I've been surrounded by cats most of my life since I was about 15 years old and now I'm 42 years old. I plan on being the sole pet caregiver in my household for your pet(s) and I will treat your pet or dog like an extended part of the family. Whatever rules you wish for me to follow with your pet or dog I will follow and respect them. I have a deep compassion for animals and will treat your pet or dog with love and care. I'm currently a part-time home health aide or caregiver for my Autistic 14 year old son which takes place at our home. I have a family of 5 including three kids and I'm looking for a way to make extra income. We live with 4 cats who spend most of their time outdoors. We have a fenced up yard with plenty of room for your pet(s) to roam around in and play.

About: I've taken care and rescued all sorts of animals from guinea pigs to giant pitties. I have been in rescue for about 9 years. It comes out of pocket, but if I don't save them or help who will? I am also good at medication injection and oral administration of medication as well. I can do walks, check in's, doggy day care, house sit, etc. I will accommodate your needs for your furbaby. I am not afraid of bigger dogs as most people might be. I think of them as giant teddy bears. I will send plenty of updates and pictures as I know leaving your furbaby with a stranger can be absolutely nerve wrecking. Whatever makes my customer happy I will be more than willing to meet their request. Just give me instruction, your furbabies name, any allergies, medications, walk/yard time and frequency, feeding schedule, and any other information you see fit and I guarantee your precious furbaby will find a new friend! I am currently employed part time and in school part time this semster over at Johnson College for Veterinary Nursing. My schedule is pretty packed, but I will make accommodations with you to accommodate the needs of your furbabies or ones with scales. I moved in March of last year so boarding at the new place might be a bit busy. I do have enough room to accommodate at least 3 dogs. I don't have a fenced in yard at my apartment however I love to take them on long walks. I have walked dogs of all sizes. Super tiny to 100+lbs. I also have my own pupper Krypto so if boarding at my home please make sure your dog is other dog friendly as well as cats. I have 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 rat and a goldfish. If you are looking to board in my home I suggest a meet & greet to make sure your furbabies and mine are safe for their stay. I care for my clients furbabies like they are my own. I make sure the furbabies are happy and healthy. I will make sure my clients needs and wants are met. If you need me to watch them at your house, your house will be treated like my home. This was our first time using Rover or leaving our dog in daycare--Glenn was wonderful in being responsive and ensuring that our older dog was comfortable and felt secure. We even got a photo of him confirming all was good. The most generous thing Glenn did was to meet us at our location -- a last moment change in plan due to challenges in traveling to his location. This extra effort, which we gladly paid for, made our experience 5 star++++.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pittston commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 106 sitters in Pittston, 90% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
