About: With 5 years of experience caring for pets for friends and family I enjoy being able to meet new pets. I have cared for pets overnight in my home, drop-in care, and last minute sitting. About: I’ve had 3 small dogs, 1 large dog, 3 cats, and 2 fish tanks. I’ve always cared about animals so it comes natural to me to want to take care of them. Before i leave for college i will make sure your pet is well taken care of and has someone taking them on regular potty breaks, once i get back ill take them for a walk and spend the rest of the day with them unless i have work then ill have someone taking care of them until i get back. About: I've loved animals from a young age. It all started with black labs for duck hunting. I was a vet assistant and horseshoer for many years. I've had dozens of personal pets throughout my life, and am now looking to love on and help care for other people's furry friends. About: I’ve recently grown to love taking care of dogs. The mindset I had when I walked into my first dog sitting job is not the mindset I have today. I felt nervous of the responsibility and risk, but now, I am confident, the playfulness of dogs in general lowers the stress of the job! I enjoy time with dogs and understanding them for the future when I can have my own. I also have a semester of experience with animal management from my senior year, giving me the opportunity to groom dogs, provide hygiene and play voluntarily. The opportunity also allowed me to study behaviors and important things to keep in mind about caring for dogs. Presently, I work as a host on the weekends, normally just a morning or a night shift, but if requested two weeks ahead of time, I could request days off, therefore I am able to be available all day as needed! Although Mondays - Wednesdays I have classes on campus. Mondays and Wednesdays I’m non-negotiably unavailable 11-4 pm. Tuesdays I am only unavailable 12-2 pm. Overall, besides my class schedules, I can make availability open! My home is normally not an option for care due to young children present. In client’s homes, I remain present at the house all day unless an important matter comes up, I will temporarily leave, not for long. I like to include playtime, keep the dogs busy and make sure they behave using tactics with treats. I prefer to stick to a consistent schedule throughout the days such as specific feeding times, time of day to walk the dogs, and any house maintenance schedules I should be aware of. I am able to sleep comfortably with dogs if wanted and walk them often, as long as the dog is not beyond my strength to handle.
