“Sarah is great! My pup was really sad that I had left, but Sarah's consistency and kindness help her feel safe enough to relax and be joyful while I was gone. That means so much to me! Sarah is also so helpful and flexible when it comes to being available to care for my pup, just as of she was her own! Thank you Sarah!”

“Emily is very reliable, I booked same day and she did not hesitate to help me out with my babies. She’s very knowledgeable and attentive to my babies and I’m sure to anyone else’s. She’s very knowledgeable definitely keeps you in the loop of everything. Do not miss out on booking with the best sitter in Cruces, I honestly could not be more satisfied with her and my babies love her! Thank you for all you do!”

“My first time leaving my furry babies with anyone other than family. Jennifer took excellent care of them and ensured they had everything they needed while we were away.”

“Kellie did a great job! She updated us every day about our cat. The cat can be a little difficult when it comes to taking her meds but she was able to give it to her every day! Thank you!”

“This was my first experience using Rover.com. Jasmine is AMAZING. I chose her over many others because of her reviews. She walked me through everything. She afforded me the ability to have peace of mind while I was away from my boys. She was extremely responsive to any questions I had and she just made leaving my boys at home a lot easier. She sent me pictures of her visits. She even left ME a thank you note and some gifts for my dogs upon the completion of the job. I can't say thank you enough and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Jasmine to take care of your fur-babies!”

“Janet was amazing. She did twice-daily drop-in visits and made sure my cat got her medication and supplements at the right times. More than that, though, she was great with with my cat, figured out her habits, and accommodated her whims. I was gone for ten days, and they developed their own routine. Janet sent lots of photos, so I knew my cat was doing well. I highly recommend her and will have her look after Tacy again in the future.”

“Savannah took care of our 4 dogs while we were gone on vacation. She kept us informed and sent many pictures. Savannah displays a love for animals and our dogs really like her. Our scared yorkie even warmed up to her and that is a real accomplishment. We will definitely book her in the future.”

“Our family had a medical emergency that lasted 4 weeks. I had never used a pet sitter before. Sarah took such amazing care of my fur kids, I am so glad I found her on Rover.”

About: Caring for dogs has always been second nature to me since I've grown up with them my whole life. I’ve raised multiple pups from their first tail wags to their golden years, and I currently share my life with two of my own. This isn’t just a job for me — it’s a genuine passion. Every dog I care for is treated like family, receiving the same personalized love, patience, and attention I give my own. What truly sets me apart is my intuitive approach to each dog’s personality and needs. Whether it’s helping a nervous pup feel safe, engaging an energetic dog with play and structure, or providing extra comfort and gentle care to seniors, I adapt with heart and experience. Your pet’s happiness and well-being are always my top priority — and you can rest easy knowing they’re in loving, capable hands. Right now, I have a flexible schedule since I am in medical school and can study at home, which gives me the perfect opportunity to dedicate my time to your pet. Being around pets brings me joy, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to provide them with the love, attention, and care they deserve. In my home, your dog will be welcomed into a safe, loving, and well-managed environment. I live in an house with two friendly dogs — one small and one medium-sized — who love to socialize and play. I always do a slow, supervised introduction to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I also have crates and indoor fencing available to provide space or separation if needed, so your pup’s safety and comfort are always a priority. I’m also flexible and happy to care for pets in their own homes. Some dogs feel most at ease in their familiar space, and I do everything I can to keep their routine consistent — from feeding schedules to playtime and snuggles. Whether I’m hosting or visiting, I treat every dog with the same level of love, attention, and respect I give my own.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Dona Ana
Jasmine was THE BEST! We came back to a very happy and healthy cat. The daily comments and pictures were one of the highlights of our days. Of course we were worried about our boy but after a few days our worry became less and less. She even took care of the ants that kept discovering his bowls. We Highly recommend her. And so does Hadley!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
