“Jasmine is a lifesafer, reliable and a great communicator. She makes booking and modifying times easy. She always gives attention and love to my little Frenchie when I'm away for long hours. 🐾”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was nervous about it, but Jennifer was so professional and wonderful with my dogs, nerves quickly subsided. I knew they were in good hands and they were. I will definitely being using Jennifer's services again.”

“I had a weird situation in which the person caring for my animals abandoned them. Michelle was amazing and accommodating, went to my home after maintenence unlocked my place, cleaned up the mess my stressed out old man kitty made in a tub because he was alone for 4 days. Took care of him and the other 3 at the last minute for a week so I didn't have to leave my job (loose my job) and fly home. I was the most stressed out I'd been in years! But seeing the pics she took of my babies eating fresh wet food and playing every day helped me so much. 10000% recommend her and appreciate her and Rover for being here!! This is great app. Being able to see them check in and out, they can post photos and communicate like texting. Really great and will use again instead of depending on family!!”

About: I grew up with cats and various small pets and always house-sat for my neighbors and family. I've given medication before and am comfortable with timid animals. I've always volunteered at local animal shelters and cannot get enough animal time! I work from home 6am-3pm, but I am able to work from anywhere as long as there's wifi. I can make drop-ins during my lunch and use the afternoon to hang out for longer periods. I have two large dogs that are timid, so I understand how to introduce myself to a nervous pup. I don't mind cleaning up litter boxes or critter cages and am comfortable giving medications.
About: I am twenty seven years old, and I have had many years of dog care experience, I worked at three different animal care facilities as a teen. (Lucys doggy daycare, Becker Animal Hospital and Retreat, and Pet supplies Plus) Dogs are my life. I have an open schedule, no tie downs other than my children! I am a stay at home mommy! I am still teaching my young children the boundaries that animals have, but you can rest assured knowing there will be no ear or tail pulling. I have a very safe and fun yard with tons of shade and turf, and I cannot wait to get to play with your fur baby! I am a stay at home mom with two small children. They are currently being taught animals boundaries, they will never be left alone with your animal. You can trust that they will be protected from ear or tail pulling! I have a small fenced yard around my house and an additional fenced in yard around my entire property. I have poultry and small children, but your animal will be cared for properly and with love.

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 11 years old and have experience with pets of all ages, from newborn puppies to senior dogs. I’ve assisted with whelping litters, ensuring each puppy gained weight appropriately, met all nutritional requirements, and received attentive care during their earliest stages of life. I also helped with early potty training, socialization, and sensory enrichment to support healthy development. In addition, I have experience caring for elderly pets by providing gentle, patient care, administering medications when needed, monitoring their comfort, and adapting to their changing needs. I treat every animal as if they were my own and pride myself on providing reliable, compassionate, and attentive care. I am a stay at home dog and cat mom so I’m available any time and any day to look after your fur babies when needed. I am more comfortable with taking care of your fur babies from your home just because I do have a senior Great Dane who is not the friendliest toward other doggies.

Whatever the animal needs to be happy, i will do it even if it’s a little song before they eat or to be tucked in to nap.

About: I’ve taken care of many different animals over the years from fish to chickens and horses. I’ve worked with all sorts of dogs from Chihuahuas to Cane Corsos and I love them all. I have taken a job where the dog was very protective of their home and have made multiple visits before the sitting began to allow them to be comfortable around me. I am happy to provide references as well if that would make you feel safer about trusting me with your furry loved ones! About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats and can’t remember a time in my life that I haven’t had a dog! I love all animals but dogs especially have a big place in my heart. I currently live in las cruces and my parents are in georgia with the dog we have now who is almost 11! She’s a boxer-pitbull mix and just the sweetest. I have always enjoyed being around dogs and also love to be outside, so taking your dog on walks is perfect! I’m always willing to go as long or as short as your dog needs! I think exercise for dogs is so important and often forgotten about so I would love to be able to help with that when you need it!! I’m currently a sophomore in college and on student leadership with a college organization. Luckily I’m done with my classes by 11:45 at the latest every day which gives me a ton of time to play with your pups! I do have something every Monday and Wednesday night at 7 but am available from around 12-6 each day! Back home I have a fenced in back yard and we have been able to train my dog to stay by us when we are not in the back yard. Here I live in an apartment, so I don’t have a fenced in area but am able to walk dogs in a leash and can also simply play with them inside if needed to!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
