About: 🏳️🌈 Ferndale local with two Malinois/Dutch shepherds I will take care of your dog(s) like they are my own! I have experience with reactive dog(s) and shelter dogs that have an unknown past. My approach is a positive, enrichment-full, no-fear and no-pain way. I understand that each dog is different and has different behaviors and a personality. I have two Belgian/Dutch shepherd mixes (think police dogs) (5 yr old and 10 month old) that came through a shelter and a volunteer rescue group. Over the last five years I have participated in all kinds of dog training classes and learned a lot about all different kinds of enrichment. I have walked neighbors' and friends' dogs of all sizes and petsitted anywhere between one to fourteen nights over the last few years. My style is to always be pain and fear free, positive reinforcement, respect the dogs space while helping them through stress by using different techniques like treat games, puzzles, sniffing exercises, tricks and physical training to work up to successful walks and calmer and more confident dogs. I'll assess your dog's level and work up with them to a walk that makes them happy. You can either tell me exactly what you want me to do or let me bring my games and toys with me. I'm really good at following instructions if you want things done in a particular way and I prefer clear communication, you won't offend me. I'm always in a positive mood and will always end my time with your dog on a good note. I have been an engineer for over twelve years with a passion for dogs the last five. My schedule and work location has changed and I have a lot more availability during the week. Weekends are available as well depending on the dates. I'm quite flexible for walks, drop-ins, enrichment play times and overnight stays. I can also be available on a very short notice on the same day once we have an established trust. If you are looking to board your dog(s) with me it is important that they are very friendly with other dogs, up-to-date vaccines, infectious-disease free and can be crated for short periods to give them some dedicated down time without my dogs in their business. (I do have two crates, one for medium and one for large sized dogs). I have a fenced yard and access to the Ferndale and Royal Oak dog park in case that's something your dog will be prepared for meeting other new dogs. Dogs ride in my SUV or compact car's trunk space that is prepared for their comfort and secures them from harmful injuries in case of a car crash. If you are interested in me walking your dog and/or doing drop-ins and your dog has shown aggressive behavior towards new people in the house, I would need to assess first and you'd have to introduce me properly so that the dog feels comfortable letting me inside the house. If I come to your house for pet sitting I will respect your home more than my own and be neat and clean and quiet. I'll try my very best to keep your baby as comfortable, happy and low-stressed as possible and will respect their boundaries. You can either tell me what you want me to exactly do and don't do, or give me space to bring some puzzles and enrichment games and creative ways to feed your doggo(s).
19. Maria F.

20. Jude C.
About: I have always been the first to offer to cat or dog sit for my friends. My own cat needs daily oral medication, so I understand the importance of timely medication. I can't wait to meet you and your pets. I am currently attending online school, so I will have a lot of availability to care for your pets! I'm new to the area, and excited to get myself out there. I'm attentive to animal body language, and know some animal first-aid. In case of an emergency, I'm also capable of lifting up to about 80 pounds.
