“Brooklyn was excellent with our pups and bird. She was attentive to their needs and provided daily updates and pictures. She accommodated our early return for an emergency. Would not hesitate to use her again. Thank you”

“Allen was great! I needed a last minute sitter and Allen was the perfect choice. Great communication and put up with my silly dogs with no complaints. Left my house in great condition. I look forward to having him stay with my beasties again. Thank you so much! 💜”
“Milena stayed with our two big pups and was great. She was very punctual and was great with communicating while we were out of town. She sent multiple updates durning the day and sent tons of pictures. I would definitely recommend and would use her again when needed.”

“Kelsey was absolutely amazing. She was in constant communication with me while I was out of town and send me pictures the whole time. I will certainly be booking with her again! Thanks so much Kelsey!”

“Abby was great during our 9 day vacation. We were worried leaving them with someone else for the first time but she sent videos and pictures, and even gave them a bath! The Pups were sad to see her leave so I know they had a great time too. We will definitely use her again. Thanks Abby!”

“Sarah was AMAZING!!!! I had to leave town with almost no notice, and I came on the app and messaged a few people. Sarah responded quickly and professionally, and even came to do a house visit ahead of time to meet the animals. She gave me updates while I was away, and most importantly loved on the fur babies and made sure they were happy. I cannot reccomend her enough and I will be using her from now on!”

“Alissa came for a couple of nights prior to our taking a bigger trip so she could help my very anxious rescue dog feel more comfortable. We appreciate that she's so flexible and helpful. Makes it a lot easier to go away for a longer trip knowing the dogs are in caring hands!”

“Amelia stayed in our home and looked after our geriatric small dog recently. (This was our first experience with Rover). On a previous trip when she’d been boarded, our dog hadn’t eaten and had lost several lbs, so we needed help. Amelia was perfect! My dog was able to stay home with no change to her routine. I received pics, texts and had an stress-less trip thanks to Amelia!”

“Meghan was amazing! She was very attentive to my 2 dogs and my cat. She gave everyone cuddles too of course! I loved all the pictures she sent me. 10/10 recommend, she’s great :)”

About: For the past four years, I’ve been managing life with Piper, my anxious Chihuahua mix, and Tux, my blind cat who navigates like he has sonar. They’ve taught me how to keep pets calm, confident, and on a solid routine no matter what challenges they have. I’m a college student and veteran, so my schedule is pretty flexible when I’m not in class. I’m usually available for walks, drop‑ins, or sitting throughout the week, and I plan my study time around pet care. I keep a steady routine with my own pets, and it’s easy for me to fit in extra visits or longer stays when needed. I focus on creating a calm, safe space for every pet. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and pay attention to small behavior changes. In a client’s home, I use gentle handling, clear communication, and maintain a predictable environment so pets feel secure and supported.
About: Hi, all! Years of living with and caring for pets and working as a veterinary assistant has led me to be attentive, knowledgeable, and most importantly, so loving to any and all animals. I currently care for a pup, cat and ducks in my life. I intend to care for your pet as if it were my own! I am easy-going, flexible and willing to abide by any reasonable requests in care-taking. This won’t be considered “work” for me. It’s a bonus for the joy of spending time with and caring for animals and helping out pet parents as well :) I hope to meet you and your pet soon! Krista E. As far as my schedule, I am completely open during the daytime. I work evening shifts five days a week, but my schedule changes weekly. For walking: 1-2 walks a day from the hours of 8-3. I can also do night walks on days that I work, outside of the hours of 3-10ish, depending on the day. If I am off, I can walk at any time in the day or evening. I am willing to make multiple visits in a day. For House Drop-Ins: Similar to above, the evening times may vary. For House Sitting: I receive my schedule weekly, so I am available for overnight at least twice a week. However, if consecutive days are needed, I will be available for morning and afternoon care, but will have to leave for work and return afterward at night. Again, this time varies, so it will be either 3-8:30/9ish that I am gone, or 4-10/11ish. I can understand if this is an issue, but am willing to walk during the day, feed, and let out for a potty break as soon as I am able. I do not accept pets in my home because of the other animals already here, but as far as in yours, I am clean, courteous, quiet, respectful, and most importantly, there to keep your pet well-cared for, entertained, and at ease.

About: I have experience in giving cats their medicine! Pills, ointments in the ear, and food! I also have experience in cleaning the litter box, changing a water machine, and giving cats baths! I am currently in school, and I am working part time! To take care your baby, I will stop by at least three times a day to feed, play, and snuggle! I have a pet at home as well! I prefer to take care of your pet at their house! I first, make their meal (as needed). While they are eating, I usually scoop the liter and do everything the owners have asked me to do in their home! Then, I give them treat or medicine (if applicable) and play with them for a while!

“We absolutely loved having Peyton stay with our pets! She was so sweet and caring with our dog and two cats, and we felt completely comfortable leaving them in her care for five days. She sent us updates and pictures while we were away, which we really appreciated, and came home to a nice, tidy house. It was such a relief knowing our pets were happy and well taken care of while we were gone. We would definitely have her stay with them again and highly recommend her!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 768 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Delco. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Delco walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Delco maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Delco choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Delco. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
