“Letisia was absolutely amazing with my bulldog!! My bulldog is older and requires very special care. I was given updates daily and she took very good care of Rocky. Will definitely book with again when going away!”

“I could tell when I picked up my dogs that they got lots of attention while they were there. The home environment was a much better environment than a boarding kennel. They were a very loving family.”

“Elizabeth was very kind and our dogs seemed well cared for when I picked them up. We are using Elizabeth's services again in a few weeks. I also appreciated the pictures she sent each day.”

“Rodger and his wife were amazing! Super relaxed and flexible, they created a loving and safe environment for my dog, who has a lot of anxieties. We got clear and consistent updates and it was evident that Franklin was happy, relaxed and at ease, which was just amazing to see. Absolutely loved their service!”

“Makeda had a great time at hanging out with Mandeep and her family. She was very tired when she came home. Judging from the updates sent, there was no shortage of excitement and action. Mandeep's help was quick to respond and we were able to reach a suitable plan for drop off and pick up. I hope to call on Mandeep's help again should the need arise.”

“Heather is the most wonderful person that my husband and I trust wholeheartedly. She continually sends pictures and updates, and our dog gets so excited when we pull up onto her street. She has the perfect house and backyard. We cannot recommend her enough!”

“Rebecca took great care of Bella while I was away! She made time for a quick meet & greet before we solidified the arrangement too. She also sent pics of my dog enjoying her vacation. Thanks Rebecca!”

“Jack and Carrie were great! Our morkie has anxiety issues and he was fine. Even slept in their bed! He got along great with their small dog and bigger dog. I highly recommend and plan on using them again this month.”

“Rosa and her daughters cared for my Luna like she was their own. Their home was clean and orderly and I felt very comfortable leaving her with them. They sent lots of videos while I was away and Luna seemed to have a great time with them and was happy and healthy when I picked her up. I was in town for a camping trip and she was very flexible with drop off and pick-up and was consistent and responsive with communication. Will definitely use her again if I’m in the area.”

“I felt very good about the care I was receiving from videos and pictures. I felt max was in good hands and it showed a very well organised house with a fenced in yard in the back. I will definitely use him again. Thanks again”

About: Grew up with dogs in the family. A collie and a husky. Currently have a beagle that is 6 years old. Had her since she was 9 weeks old. We walk every day. Care is a high consideration on very cold days as well as hot and humid summer afternoons. I don't work during the summer months. Have time to care for a pet for someone or a family who needs help so they can plan a vacation or time away. Or for those who have a demanding time schedule. I only have one pet, dog, in the house. A fenced in yard and a wireframe crate that is 2 feet x 3 feet and about 2 - 2.5 feet high.
“Kayla was great! It was Lotus’s first time staying with Kayla. She sent us pictures throughout his stay with her and made sure we were in the loop of how he was doing. We felt very comfortable with her and would drop Lotus off in the future! Thank you!”

“Kayla took great care of my dog! She sent many updates letting me know how my dog was doing and was quick to respond to me. Would for sure recommend her to a friend and book with her again!”

“Sarah cared for our labradoodle and we would definitely recommend her! She communicated regularly, sent pictures and updates, ensured our pets were compatible before booking, and made us feel very comfortable that our girl was in great hands.”

“Desire was really great! She took great care of my sweet boy Ranger, very responsive and sent plenty of update, pictures, and videos throughout his stay. I definitely recommend y’all book her. She is really great!”

“Anna was the perfect match for our dog. This was our first time using Rover, so we were a little nervous. Anna communicated throughout the entire stay and kept us updated with pictures. Our pup was loved and cared for as if she was part of Anna’s family. We are so thankful for Anna and would recommend for others.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
