They sent photos of Callie throughout the day and were really flexible when our plans changed slightly and we moved the pick-up time to later. About: Growing up, I was surrounded by animals. Horses, geese, ducks, cats, rabbits, and lots and lots of dogs. My parents rescued and fostered animals of all kinds, but mostly dogs, especially Great Danes. We’ve had every type of dog from a 3 pound Yorky to a deaf Jack Russel to a 187 pound GD, and everything in between. I’ve passed my love of animals on to my own children, who were raised to respect and cherish their pets from an early age. We’ve had birds, cats, and of course lots and lots of dogs! Pets make life so much better. I am retired from the medical field. My husband and I are active people and love exploring, being outside in nature, thrifting, biking, and high school sports. My day will be dedicated to the animals in my care, making them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while in my home. We have a fenced yard and live in a quiet part of our neighborhood. We have a few different sized crates and even a built-in ‘doggy apartment’ under the stairs!

About: Before we had kids, we would dog sit up to four dogs at a time in our home. Now that our kids are old enough and understand how to care for and respect dogs we feel comfortable bringing kid friendly and potty trained dogs into our home. We’re all excited to love on your pup! Julie homeschools our children so they are home a majority of the day. If your pup is destructive or a chewer, please bring a crate for when they have to leave the house. We intend to love and care for your dog just as we love and care for Penny. We work together as a family to ensure your pets needs are met throughout the day and night.

About: Hello! I’ve been caring for dogs, cats, rodents and the occasional bird, for over 35 years, mostly on a personal level, but some professional capacities as well. I have always lived with dogs and have worked in an animal shelter, been a vet technician, and volunteered for a time at a wildlife rescue. I’ve also cared for the pets of many family members, friends and co-workers. Throughout the years, I've considered my own dogs as family members and their care and happiness have always been a priority. I can relate to the stress and anxiety of trying to find someone I trust when I need to be away from my pups, so I know the importance of finding someone reliable that both you and your dog are comfortable with. When meeting and spending times with dogs, I put to use all I have learned over the years about dog behavior, interaction and training. I appreciate all different breeds and sizes and enjoy getting to know each individual dog as I spend time with them, building trust and friendship. I also have experience administering medication and care and am comfortable with special needs pups, be it medical or psychological (shy, fearful, previously abused, etc). Routines are usually important to dogs and I recognize the importance of following instructions regarding care and feeding. I also have the utmost respect for others homes and property. My focus and goal is to provide care and service that brings you peace of mind. Knowing your dog and home are in good hands enables you to fully enjoy your vacation, or focus on what you need to do while you are away from home. I’d love to meet you and your dog and have an opportunity to be their second best friend while you are gone! I am retired and live with my husband (who also enjoys dogs and cats) and have great flexibility and transportation. I'm fine with dogs in my car, too. I’m happy to stay with your pup at your home or, I can watch them at mine, as long are our dogs get along (I never leave dogs without established relationships alone together)
