About: I have lived my whole life with dogs and I am currently a Dog Mom of 1. I have experience with many different breeds and sizes, including a summer job at a local dog + owner fitness facility and volunteering at stray rescue in STL. My pet is also a rescue, so I have experience working with dogs who need a little extra care and comfort. My main focus is to show your pet some extra love while they are patiently waiting for you to return, and to help you as a dog parent feel at peace, knowing your dog is being well taken care of. I work a full time job, but I do have the ability to work from home when needed and a flexible lunch break. I am mostly free between 7:00-8:30 AM or 6:00-9:00 PM M-F, but I am also available during lunch hours (11:00AM-2:00PM) and weekends upon request. It is important to me that I get to know both you and your pet! I want everyone to feel safe and sound during appointments. For first-time customers: I am available for phone or video calls prior to the booking date, as well as in person meet and greets (when scheduled in advance). Afterwards, we can discuss communication preferences during visits and, if requesting regular care, what days/times you would like to book in the future.

Friends and family have always trusted me with their pets , in my career as a licensed esthetician, I’ve developed patience, reliability, strong attention to detail, and the ability to provide personalized care qualities that also make me a dependable pet sitter. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, administering basic care, or simply keeping pets company, I’ll treat every dog as if they were my own. I currently am in between jobs so I’m super available at the moment ! I usually only work 30 hours a week so I have plenty of time to care for your animals. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a friendly Husky of my own, so I’m very familiar with energetic dogs and talented escape artists! I’m always extra mindful when opening doors, using leashes, and making sure pets are secure at all times. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll treat your space with the same respect and care as I would my own. If your dog stays with me, they’ll have access to a fully fenced yard for supervised play, a friendly Husky companion if they’re comfortable with other dogs, and a crate available if they prefer or are crate trained. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for throughout their stay. I have lots of experience with high energy dogs , puppies and senior dogs :) I of course will send pics / vid updates .
“I don’t want to leave this review because then everyone will want to bring their babies to Barb and Steve and their availability will go down, because they are awesome! We have two dogs, they come with lots of meds and instructions. I also have one that temperamental and can snap at people and dogs, in addition, the other one that is struggling with eating and taking pills. They really took care of them like I take care of them. They spoiled them, loved them and took care of them as if they were their own. They worked with all their issues and sent pictures so I could see they’re loved while we’re away. There are no words to express how stress free your trips away from home can feel knowing your babies are getting taken care of properly and loved while you have to be away. Truly amazing people for the babies and what all sitters should be like.”

My dog had an excellent stay with Barbara. She made us feel at ease about leaving our dog with her for a weekand and sent us daily pictures and stories about how she was doing. I think my dog had more fun during her stay than we did on our vacation 🤣. We will definitely send our dog to Barbara for our next vacation.
